He rode the stationary bike without incident on Wednesday and planned to run on the treadmill Thursday. Jennings has also not demonstrated sensitivity to noise or light. Dan Jennings left Thursday's game against the Pirates after a Jordy Mercer line drive caught him in the head.

It was a scary situation in Pittsburgh, as Jennings slumped to the ground as the ball ricocheted off his head before being caught by shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria. He arose briefly before stumbling and needing to be assisted by catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia. The good news is that while Jennings was certainly dazed, he never lost consciousness and saluted the crowd as he was carted off the field. The Marlins will perform concussion tests, and Jennings is almost surely headed to the disabled list.
