Date:

Luke Jackson (shoulder) will be activated from the disabled list Friday.

That's assuming he gets through a rehab appearance Wednesday with no issues. Jackson has been out the last week and a half with a strained shoulder.
Aug 28 - 5:02 PM

Braves placed RHP Luke Jackson on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain.

The 25-year-old hurler appeared in 35 games for the Braves, posting a 4.65 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 28/15 K/BB ratio over 40 2/3 innings. Matt Wisler has been recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Aug 19 - 2:52 PM

Braves recalled RHP Luke Jackson from Triple-A Gwinnett.

He'll take the place of the injured Eric O'Flaherty in the Braves' bullpen. He has appeared in three games already for the Braves this season, registering a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 1/0 K/BB ratio in three innings of work. He'll function in middle relief.
May 20 - 1:15 PM

Braves optioned RHP Luke Jackson to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Jackson had allowed two runs on four hits through three innings this season out of the Braves' bullpen. The 25-year-old right-hander will probably be up and down all summer.
Apr 20 - 3:23 PM

Braves recalled RHP Luke Jackson from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Jackson, who was acquired from the Rangers in December, allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings for Gwinnett. He had a 9.00 ERA and a 3.00 WHIP in four innings this spring. He throws hard and he could develop into a quality reliever at some point, but we doubt that time is now.
Apr 14 - 4:10 PM

Braves acquired RHP Luke Jackson from the Rangers for RHP Tyrell Jenkins and LHP Brady Feigl.

Jackson has thrown 18 major-league innings over the past two seasons with an 8.50 ERA. The 25-year-old reliever throws hard and racked up lots of strikeouts in the minor leagues but struggled with his control. The Braves are likely to use him as a middle reliever if he makes the team at all. His high strikeout rate gives him the potential to move into a higher leverage role if he can limit the walks.

Rangers optioned RHP Luke Jackson to Triple-A Round Rock.

Jackson holds a 10.80 ERA over eight relief appearances with the big club this season. Michael Roth has taken his spot in the bullpen.

Rangers recalled RHP Luke Jackson from Triple-A Round Rock.

Jackson earns the call to the majors with Derek Holland heading to the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation. In his previous 7 2/3 innings with the Rangers this season, the 24-year-old Jackson surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits across 7 2/3 innings. He doesn't make for any sort of interesting fantasy option.

Rangers optioned RHP Luke Jackson to Triple-A Round Rock.

Jackson has allowed six earned runs on 11 hits in 7 2/3 innings this season at the major league level. The young right-hander will likely be up and down all year.

Rangers recalled RHP Luke Jackson from Triple-A Round Rock.

Jackson, 24, has compiled a 3.68 ERA and 19/10 K/BB ratio over 14 2/3 innings this season in Triple-A. He'll operate in middle relief.

Rangers activated RHP Luke Jackson off the 15-day disabled list; optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock.

Jackson is recovered from the stress reaction in his lower back, but there's no place for him right now in the Texas bullpen. The 24-year-old right-hander has already been pitching in games for Round Rock.

Rangers placed RHP Luke Jackson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 25, with a stress reaction in his lower back.

Jackson has been battling the injury for a month. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined.

Luke Jackson (back) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday.

It will be the first time he's thrown off a mound since being diagnosed with a stress reaction in his lower back on March 2. It seems unlikely that Jackson will be ready for Opening Day, although he probably wasn't going to head north with the big club regardless.

Luke Jackson will miss two weeks after being diagnosed with a stress reaction in his lower back.

It is an old injury that has resurfaced. Jackson was expected to compete for a spot in the Rangers' bullpen this spring after posting a 4.34 ERA with 79 strikeouts over 66 1/3 innings last season, but this is obviously a setback on that end.
