Diamondbacks signed RHP Louis Coleman to a minor league contract.
The right-hander opted out of his minor league deal with the Reds earlier in the week after posting a 2.21 ERA and 44/16 K/BB ratio over 36 2/3 innings at Triple-A Louisville. He should work his way into the bullpen mix at the big league level in relatively short order. Jun 24 - 9:26 AM

Reds released RHP Louis Coleman.

Coleman opted out of his minor league contract with Cincinnati after getting passed over for a roster spot at the major league level. He had a promising 2.21 ERA and 44/16 K/BB ratio in 36 2/3 innings (25 relief appearances) at Triple-A Louisville, which should quickly lead him to a new deal with a new organization.

Louis Coleman (shoulder) will make his Cactus League debut Tuesday.

Coleman has been battling a sore shoulder since early on in camp. He'll need to make a strong impression in a hurry if he wants to win a roster spot as a non-roster invitee.
Mar 13 - 6:19 PM

Louis Coleman has been shut down for a few days due to biceps tendinitis in his pitching arm.

The injury isn't believed to be serious at this time, though it's something worth monitoring. The non-roster invitee is in camp competing for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen, and any extended missed time could really hurt his chances.

Reds signed RHP Louis Coleman to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

This confirms what was reported by Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports. After adding Drew Storen last week, the Reds continue to try to bolster their bullpen. Coleman, who turns 31 in April, has compiled a 3.51 ERA over 213 relief appearances in the majors. There's a decent chance he'll end up winning a bullpen spot in the spring.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Reds have signed Louis Coleman to a minor league contract.

The deal presumably includes an invitation to major league spring training, but it hasn't been officially announced by the team. Coleman was non-tendered by the Dodgers last month after posting a 4.69 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 45/24 K/BB ratio over 48 innings. He could earn a spot as a middle reliever in the spring.

Dodgers non-tendered RHP Louis Coleman.

The 30-year-old right-hander was a staple of the Dodgers' bullpen in 2016, compiling a 4.69 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 45/24 K/BB ratio over 48 innings in his 61 appearances. Now a free agent, he'll look to secure a spring training invitation elsewhere.

Louis Coleman (shoulder) made a rehab appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Coleman hurled a scoreless inning of relief in OKC's 5-0 loss to Colorado Springs. This was his second rehab outing after appearing in the Arizona League on Monday. Obviously Coleman's shoulder is feeling better and it looks like he'll be back in L.A.'s bullpen next week. The 30-year-old has pitched to a 3.70 ERA in 50 games for the Dodgers this year.

Dodgers placed RHP Louis Coleman on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder fatigue.

Coleman held a 3.70 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 37/16 K/BB ratio over 41 1/3 innings prior to hitting the disabled list. He hasn't been an integral part of pen this season, but the Dodgers have dealt with enough injuries that even middle relief ailments are starting to sting.

Louis Coleman (bereavement) will return to the Dodgers on Monday.

Coleman was placed on the bereavement list Thursday so he could go home for his grandfather's funeral. Recent callup Zach Lee will probably be optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City when he returns.

Royals released RHP Louis Coleman.

Coleman was designated for assignment last week to make room for Ian Kennedy on the Royals' 40-man roster. He passed through waivers unclaimed and will now have the ability to test the open market. The 29-year-old pitched almost exclusively in the minors in 2015, but has enjoyed some success in the majors in the past and shouldn't be out of work for long.
