Dodgers non-tendered RHP Louis Coleman.
The 30-year-old right-hander was a staple of the Dodgers' bullpen in 2016, compiling a 4.69 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 45/24 K/BB ratio over 48 innings in his 61 appearances. Now a free agent, he'll look to secure a spring training invitation elsewhere. Dec 3 - 10:42 AM

Sep 2 - 5:21 PM

Louis Coleman (shoulder) made a rehab appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Coleman hurled a scoreless inning of relief in OKC's 5-0 loss to Colorado Springs. This was his second rehab outing after appearing in the Arizona League on Monday. Obviously Coleman's shoulder is feeling better and it looks like he'll be back in L.A.'s bullpen next week. The 30-year-old has pitched to a 3.70 ERA in 50 games for the Dodgers this year.
Aug 25 - 11:42 PM

Dodgers placed RHP Louis Coleman on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder fatigue.

Coleman held a 3.70 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 37/16 K/BB ratio over 41 1/3 innings prior to hitting the disabled list. He hasn't been an integral part of pen this season, but the Dodgers have dealt with enough injuries that even middle relief ailments are starting to sting.

Dodgers activated RHP Louis Coleman from the bereavement list.

Coleman has been away from the team since Thursday. The Dodgers sent down Luis Avilan to clear a spot on the active roster.

Louis Coleman (bereavement) will return to the Dodgers on Monday.

Coleman was placed on the bereavement list Thursday so he could go home for his grandfather's funeral. Recent callup Zach Lee will probably be optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City when he returns.

Coleman should return by early next week. Luis Avilan took over his bullpen spot on Thursday afternoon.
Apr 21 - 11:15 AM

Dodgers signed RHP Louis Coleman to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

Coleman got a major league deal after posting a 1.69 ERA and 63/23 K/BB ratio over 64 innings with the Royals' Triple-A affiliate last season. The 29-year-old will pitch in middle relief for the Dodgers.
Feb 18 - 9:47 PM

Royals released RHP Louis Coleman.

Coleman was designated for assignment last week to make room for Ian Kennedy on the Royals' 40-man roster. He passed through waivers unclaimed and will now have the ability to test the open market. The 29-year-old pitched almost exclusively in the minors in 2015, but has enjoyed some success in the majors in the past and shouldn't be out of work for long.
Feb 3 - 1:12 PM

Royals designated RHP Louis Coleman for assignment.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Ian Kennedy. With a career 3.20 ERA and over a strikeout per inning in his 152 relief appearances, Coleman could draw some interest on waivers.
Jan 29 - 12:18 PM

Royals and RHP Louis Coleman avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $725,000 contract.

It's the same amount he was paid last season. Coleman appeared in just four games for the Royals in 2015, spending almost all of the year at Triple-A Omaha, where he held a 1.69 ERA over 38 appearances. He'll compete for one of the final spots in the bullpen this spring.
Jan 15 - 9:04 AM

Louis Coleman (shoulder) returned to game action on Friday, picking up a victory over the Twins after retiring both hitters that he faced.

Coleman has now tossed three scoreless innings for the Royals this season, registering a 1.00 WHIP and 1/2 K/BB ratio. He's unlikely to be included on the postseason roster for the ALDS, but represents terrific organizational bullpen depth.

Louis Coleman is out indefinitely due to tightness in his right shoulder.

Coleman had to be lifted from Sunday's game with the injury. "It's in the back of the shoulder," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "It got tight on him and he couldn't loosen it up. So we'll give him some time." With so little time left, Coleman's season could be over.

Louis Coleman was removed from Sunday's game against the Orioles with an apparent injury.

It isn't yet clear exactly what the right-hander did, but he grimaced and was in obvious discomfort after making his final pitch of the evening. The Royals should have an update on his status shortly.
Sun, Sep 13, 2015 10:31:00 PM

Royals purchased the contract of RHP Louis Coleman from Triple-A Omaha.

Coleman was moved off the Royals' 40-man roster after spring training, but he remained with the organization and is now getting a nice reward after a promising season at the Triple-A level. The right-hander will pitch in middle relief over these next three weeks.
