Billings, 25, has a 3.80 ERA over parts of five seasons in the minor leagues. He has made the transition to a full-time reliever this season, posting a 4.47 ERA and 47/21 K/BB over 50 1/3 innings with Triple-A Colorado Springs. He made his major league debut with the Rockies in May, giving up one run on five hits over two innings.
