Avisail Garcia launched a solo homer in Friday's loss to the Tigers.
He took David Price deep to the opposite field in the second inning to open the scoring. Garcia is off to a nice start at the plate this season, batting .333/.400/.519, but that was his first home run and just his third RBI. Avisail Garcia is not in the White Sox' lineup Wednesday.

It appears to just be a day of rest. Tyler Flowers is also sitting out, as J.B. Shuck is handling right field and Geovany Soto is at catcher.

Avisail Garcia went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's Cactus League win over the Mariners.

Garcia opened the scoring for the White Sox, singling in a run in the first inning. He plated another with an RBI single in the second, but the big hit was a two-run homer in the fourth. The 23-year-old is hitting .328 with eight RBI this spring, and after injury marred his 2014 season a healthy Garcia should deliver on his big promise this year.
Apr 1 - 7:30 PM

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-3 and swiped his first base of the Cactus League season in a losing effort against the Padres on Friday.

He's off to a blistering start, going 4-for-5 in his first two spring contests. The 23-year-old outfielder missed most of the 2014 season due to an avulsion fracture in his shoulder but could be primed for a breakout season in 2015. With his dynamic combination of power and speed, he'll be a very popular mid-round option in fantasy drafts.
Mar 6 - 6:09 PM

Avisail Garcia walked, doubled twice, knocked in a run, and scored a run in three at-bats as the White Sox earned a 6-4 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Garcia played in only 46 games last season due to an avulsion fracture in his shoulder. The White Sox sorely missed his abilities last season and hope Wednesday's effort is an indication of what they can expect in 2015. Garcia batted .244 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 190 plate appearances in 2014.

Avisail Garcia (back) is in the White Sox starting lineup on Saturday.

Garcia was removed from Thursday's game then sat out Friday due to stiffness in his lower back. The dynamic young outfielder is hitting .252/.315/.429 with seven homers and 29 RBI in 44 games.

Avisail Garcia exited Thursday's game versus the Royals with lower back stiffness.

He'll sit out Friday's game, but Garcia is being listed as day-to-day and should be ready to play at some point this weekend. The young outfielder is batting .252/.315/.429 for the season after lining out in his lone at-bat Thursday.

Avisail Garcia delivered a two-run double on Friday helping to lead the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Rays.

He finished the night 1-for-5, but his two-run double off Jeremy Hellickson in the fifth inning capped off a four-run rally and proved to be the difference in the ballgame. He missed the majority of the 2014 season due to injury, but has been productive in his limited time, hitting .252/.314/.413 with five homers and 25 RBI in 143 at-bats. He'll be a a trendy sleeper pick heading into 2015 fantasy drafts.

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the White Sox' 6-2 win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Garcia had an RBI single in the second inning and doubled in another run in the sixth. It was a good afternoon for the 23-year-old, who has largely struggled since coming back from the disabled list. He's batting just .235/.298/.435 through 23 games this season.

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a loss to the Indians on Tuesday.

Garcia did some early damage, delivering a two-run single in the first inning. Garcia also struck out twice, giving him 12 strikeouts in 33 at-bats since coming off the disabled list. Owners have to live with that frustration for his production -- Garcia has three doubles, two home runs and nine RBI in those nine games as well. The 23-year-old is hitting .254/.304/.492 overall.

Avisail Garcia drove in all three White Sox runs with a homer and a sac fly Wednesday against the Orioles.

Garcia is 5-for-16 with three extra-base hits and six RBI since rejoining the White Sox following a four-month DL stint. It looks like he could be rather useful in mixed leagues the rest of the way.

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI in his return to the White Sox lineup on Saturday.

It was the first game for Garcia since he tore the labrum in his left shoulder on April 9. He doubled to right field in the second inning (his first at-bat in over four months) and then smacked an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth. The talented 23-year-old outfielder is worth owning in most standard fantasy leagues for the stretch run.

White Sox activated OF Avisail Garcia from the 60-day disabled list.

Garcia tore the labrum in his left shoulder in early April and was expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season, but has made very quick progress in his recovery. He hit .340/.377/.460 with a homer and three RBI over 13 games on his minor league rehab assignment. He's worth adding if available in deeper mixed leagues for the duration.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Friday that Avisail Garcia (shoulder) could be activated from the disabled list this weekend.

Previously ruled out for the season with a torn left labrum, Garcia has made a rapid recovery and is batting .340/.377/.460 with one homer over 13 rehab games. He's worth stashing in deeper leagues if he's still out there on your waiver wire.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura thinks Avisail Garcia (shoulder) will need 50 plate appearances during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte.

He entered play Tuesday with 41, so Garcia should just be a few days away from a return. "Hopefully coming to end of the [rehab] in several days or week or so," general manager Rick Hahn said Tuesday. Garcia entered Tuesday hitting .368/.415/.500 with a home run so far on his rehab assignment.
