Garcia went 2-for-3 before his ejection. Willy Garcia replaced him in right field with Leury Garcia taking over in center. Jun 15 - 4:11 PM

Avisail Garcia went 3-for-5 and scored a run in a loss to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Two of the hits were of the infield variety, while the third was a double. Garcia has shown hints of promise in the past but this is the first extended period of fantasy success for him. He is batting .339/.378/.556 with 10 home runs, 37 runs and 48 RBI. His .410 BABIP indicates he has been fortunate to see a lot of bloopers fall in for hits as well as some weakly-struck infield grounders go for knocks like the ones today. Some regression is likely in store.

Avisail Garcia went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Indians.

Garcia picked double No. 13 of the season in this one, swatting the two-bagger off Carlos Carrasco. The 25-year-old outfielder has picked up hits in eight of his last 10 games and is slashing a healthy .332/.371/.549 with 10 homers and 42 RBI across 226 at-bats.

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a loss to the Rays on Thursday.

Garcia broke through against Rays starter Jake Odorizzi with a three-run shot in the sixth inning, his 10th of the season. It was the fifth time in his last eight games Garcia had multiple hits in a contest. Those waiting for the 25-year-old to fall off may keep waiting, as he's now hitting .330/.368/.553 as we near the middle of June. This appears to be the true breakout year for Avi.

Avisail Garcia is absent from the White Sox' lineup Sunday.

He's just getting a breather after starting both games of Saturday's doubleheader. Willy Garcia is in right field.
May 28 - 11:47 AM

Avisail Garcia went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI as the White Sox topped the Tigers in their series-opener in Chicago on Friday.

Avisail Garcia (flu) is back in the White Sox starting lineup Wednesday afternoon in Arizona.

He'll start in right field and bat fifth against Diamondbacks right-hander Randall Delgado after missing Tuesday's game with a mild case of the flu. Garcia boasts a .971 OPS with eight home runs and 34 RBI over 43 games this season for Chicago.
May 24 - 1:40 PM

Avisail Garcia is out of the White Sox starting lineup Tuesday due to the flu.

It could be a multi-day absence for Garcia, who's off to a tremendous start in 2017. Willy Garcia is starting in right field and batting seventh Tuesday night against Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin.
May 23 - 6:22 PM

Avisail Garcia has been scratched from the White Sox starting lineup on Tuesday night.

No word yet on the reason for the sudden change. Willy Garcia is now starting in right field and batting seventh versus Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: The Diamondbacks are the clear team of interest offensively in this one, but the White Sox have some appeal as well in hitter friendly Chase Field. Patrick Corbin has been much better at home this season compared to last, but he's still allowing plenty of hard contact to RHs at home (35.9 hard%) and it wouldn't be at all surprising to see a few of the Chicago RH bats post mouthwatering fantasy totals here. A surging Tim Anderson, Jose Abreu and Todd Frazier are all fine targets.
May 23 - 5:36 PM

Avisail Garcia finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI in Saturday's 16-1 win in Seattle.

Garcia has been on fire lately, posting four multi-hit games over his past five outings. He is 11-for-23 (.478) with four doubles, a triple, two homers and nine RBI across the past five games to raise his average from .336 to .357 just since May 15.
May 21 - 2:43 AM

Avisail Garcia reached base in all four of his plate appearances in his return to the lineup Tuesday.

Garcia sat out Monday after leaving Sunday's game with a tight groin, but he showed no ill effects in this one, singling twice, walking and reaching on a hit by pitch. He's upped his batting line to .382/.433/.629.
May 2 - 11:36 PM

Avisail Garcia (groin) is not in Monday's lineup against the Royals.

Garcia left Sunday's game with left groin tightness and the White Sox want to give him some extra rest. The struggling Jacob May will cover right field in his absence.
May 1 - 4:01 PM

White Sox manager Rick Renteria said that Avisail Garcia's removal from Sunday's game was precautionary and that the outfielder could return on Monday.

Garcia had been bothered by minor groin tightness on Saturday and felt it again on Sunday so Renteria went the safe route and pulled him from the game. It sounds as though the injury is very minor and he should return to the lineup early in the week.
Apr 30 - 5:00 PM

Avisail Garcia departed Sunday's game in Detroit with left groin tightness.

Garcia first felt tightness during Saturday's game but played through it. However, it came back Sunday and this time it was enough to force him from the game. The White Sox should offer an update on the hot-hitting outfielder after the game.
Apr 30 - 3:14 PM

Avisail Garcia admitted to playing through some tightness in his upper left leg/groin area on Saturday.

The cold weather in Detroit didn't help, but Garcia made it through the full game. The outfielder said he would be treated with stretching and ice and it doesn't sound like anything that will force him to miss any time.
