Avisail Garcia went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Dodgers.

Garcia hit a fly-ball RBI double in the second inning of Saturday's contest and later added another two-bagger. It's the continuation of what's been a stellar spring training for the outfielder thus far. Garcia has collected eight extra-base hits in just 13 games played. This is all encouraging coming on the heels of a breakout .330/.380/.506 batting line for the 2017 season.

Avisail Garcia won his arbitration case against the White Sox and will earn a $6.7 million salary in 2018.

Garcia was offered a $5.85 million salary from the White Sox when arbitration figures were exchanged in January. The arbitration panel sided with the player in this particular case. Garcia, 26, broke out to the tune of a .330/.380/.506 batting line with 18 home runs and 80 RBI over 136 games for Chicago in 2017.

Avisail Garcia's arbitration case was heard on Tuesday.

Garcia requested $6.7 million and was offered $5.85 million by the White Sox when arbitration figures were exchanged a month ago. The arbitration panel will pick one of those salaries, with the decision expected sometime Wednesday. Garcia, 26, posted a breakout .330/.380/.506 batting line with 18 home runs and 80 RBI over 136 games for the White Sox in 2017.

Avisail Garcia requested $6.7 million and was offered $5.85 million by the White Sox when arbitration figures were exchanged on Friday.

They may still meet in the middle before next month's arbitration hearing. Garcia turned in a breakout campaign, slashing .330/.380/.506 with 18 home runs and 80 RBI last year.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that the Giants and Blue Jays have spoken to the White Sox about a potential trade for Avisail Garcia.

Nightengale notes that there is "nothing close" at this point, but many in the industry -- including a number of beat writers who cover the White Sox -- believe Garcia will be on the move this winter. The 26-year-old had a breakout season in 2017, slashing .330/.380/.506 with 18 home runs and 80 RBI in 136 games while earning his first All-Star nod. The issue for a team like San Francisco -- and other clubs in the NL -- is that Garcia is a dreadful defender in the outfield.

Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Tigers on Friday.

Both hits were singles and he didn't help put any runs on the board but it was another good game in a strong campaign. He has shown potential in prior seasons but this is the first time he has been able to pull it all together for an extended period. The 26-year-old outfielder has an excellent .334/.381/.509 triple slash with 17 home runs and 77 RBI in 122 games. He has 10 hits in his last three games.

Avisail Garcia finished 5-for-5 with a homer, seven RBI and a walk as the White Sox destroyed the Tigers 17-7 on Thursday.

The White Sox had 25 hits today, and the first five batters in the lineup combined to go 19-for-27 with 15 RBI. Garcia's big start had fizzled out by the time he got hurt in July, but since coming off the DL in August, he's hit .413 with four homers and 23 RBI in 33 games. He's the 12th player with a seven-RBI game this year, and he joined Carl Reynolds (1930) as the second White Sox player ever with five hits and seven RBI in the same game.

Avisail Garcia slugged a two-run homer in Friday’s loss to the Giants.

His fourth-inning blast off Matt Moore was the only offense of the game for Chicago. Garcia hasn’t shown much power since returning from the DL last month (this was just his second homer in that time), but he’s hitting .384 over 27 games during that time.
