On the season overall, he has a 4.21 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and a 70/33 K/BB ratio. Milone will match up against the White Sox at home on Tuesday in his next start. Aug 29 - 12:10 AM

Tommy Milone allowed five runs (three earned) in four and a third innings against the Tigers on Friday.

It's rare for a starting pitcher to be given double-digit run support and still not pick up the victory, but Milone pulled that off in the extreme against the Tigers, somehow managing a no-decision despite a whopping twenty runs plated by the Twins. He allowed ten hits and five runs (three earned) in his four-plus innings of work. It was his second awful start in a row, as he was shelled by the Royals last time out. Milone has been solid this season and despite the rough outings, he still holds a 4.08 ERA. He'll try to rebound when he faces the Royals in his next outing.
Aug 23 - 2:14 AM

Tommy Milone failed to make it out of the second inning, giving up seven runs (six earned) in 1 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Royals.

Milone was solid in his first start with the Twins on Monday, but Sunday's effort was a nightmare. The lefty allowed all seven runs in the second inning and had to be yanked with one out. Overall, he gave up four hits and walked two while striking out one. Including his time with the Athletics, Milone has a 3.99 ERA and a 67/31 K/BB ratio. His next start will come on Friday at home against the Tigers.
Aug 17 - 6:38 PM

Tommy Milone yielded two runs over six innings against the Astros in his Twins debut.

The runs came on homers from Jose Altuve and Chris Carter. Milone gave up six more hits and three walks, but none of them came back to haunt him. While there's no reason he can't be decent, he's just not as good of a bet for fantasy purposes as a Twin as he was while in the A's rotation.
Aug 12 - 12:11 AM

Twins recalled LHP Tommy Milone from Triple-A Rochester.

Milone will make his Twins' debut on Monday in Houston. The soft-tossing left-hander isn't in as good of a spot with Minnesota as he was in Oakland but could carve out some value in deeper mixed formats.
Aug 11 - 7:23 PM

The Twins will call up Tommy Milone from Triple-A to replace Kevin Correia in the rotation.

Milone, acquired from the A's for Sam Fuld at the deadline, allowed one run over seven innings in his debut for Rochester earlier this week. He's not nearly as good of a bet for fantasy purposes in Minnesota as he was in Oakland, but he should still have some AL-only value. He'll make his first start Monday against the Astros.
Aug 10 - 12:45 AM

Tommy Milone will make another start with Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, but could join the Twins rotation on Sunday to take on the Athletics.

The 27-year-old southpaw did a nice job in his 16 starts for the A's this season, compiling a 3.55 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 61/26 K/BB ratio over 96 1/3 innings. He's certainly worth snagging in mixed leagues where he may have been dropped.
Aug 3 - 4:16 PM

Twins acquired LHP Tommy Milone from the Athletics for OF Sam Fuld; assigned him to Triple-A Rochester.

Milone was pushed even further down the A's rotation depth chart with Thursday's Jon Lester trade. He'll get new life in Minnesota, which is almost as pitcher-friendly as Oakland. The 27-year-old left-hander had a solid 3.55 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 61/26 K/BB ratio in 96 1/3 innings this season with the Athletics. He will be arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. It's a decent get for the Twins.

Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports that the Marlins are "thought to be considering" a trade for Tommy Milone.

Milone requested a trade from the A's last week, as he became buried on their depth chart following the acquisition of Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel. As Spencer notes, the lefty is appealing to the Marlins because he won't reach free agency until 2018. Spencer also lists Wade Miley and Ian Kennedy as possible targets for the Marlins, with Kennedy being the unlikelier of the two. Miley might also be a long shot, as FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported earlier this month that the D'Backs have told teams the southpaw is unavailable.

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Tommy Milone has asked the Athletics to trade him.

Milone didn't deserve it, but he was sent down to Triple-A Sacramento after the additions of Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel earlier this month. Rosenthal hears that the A's have received trade inquires on the southpaw, but they aren't eager to deal him on the chance that he'll be needed down the line.

Athletics optioned LHP Tommy Milone to Triple-A Sacramento

Despite his strong numbers and throwing six scoreless innings with six strikeouts Friday versus the Blue Jays, Milone has lost his rotation spot. This was to make room for Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel, after the big trade Friday.
Jul 5 - 5:12 PM

Tommy Milone pitched six scoreless innings, striking out six, in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Friday.

Milone allowed four hits, walked one and struck out six. He didn't get any run support in this one, but he did extend his streak to 11 straight starts without a loss. The A's opened the year 0-5 in his starts, but they're 9-2 since.
Jul 4 - 8:26 PM

Tommy Milone improved to 6-3, allowing three runs (two earned) over seven innings as the Athletics defeated the Marlins 4-3 on Sunday.

A strong outing for Milone, as he allowed only four hits -- including Marcell Ozuna's sixth-inning solo home run -- while walking two and striking out three. The lefty now owns a 3.79 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and a 55/25 K/BB ratio. Milone will go up against the Blue Jays at home in his next start.
Jun 29 - 4:23 PM

Tommy Milone allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Milone gave up solo homers to David Ross and Mike Napoli among his eight hits allowed, as he's served up six home runs in his last five starts. He walked one and struck out three in the game. Fortunately for Milone, his offense bailed him out and saved him from taking his fourth loss, and he still hasn't lost a game since May 3. The 27-year-old will carry a 3.89 ERA and 1.27 WHIP into Sunday's contest against the Marlins in Miami.
Jun 22 - 8:51 PM

Tommy Milone beat the Rangers by giving up three runs over 5 2/3 innings as the A's took a 10-6 decision on Tuesday.

You didn't expect him to lose at home, did you? Milone wasn't impressive, striking out three, walking one, and coughing up five hits, including a Rougned Odor solo homer. The left-hander has won five straight decisions over his last eight outings, a stretch that has knocked his ERA down from 5.86 to 3.56. Oakland has won six consecutive Milone starts. The pitcher came in 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in five home starts, and he remains a great matchup play (so long as you always bench him on the road). Milone welcomes the Red Sox to town on Sunday.
