White Sox placed OF Leury Garcia on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to June 16, with a sprained finger on his left hand.
Garcia has been bothered by the injury for over a week and might have made it worse when he came off the bench Thursday against the Orioles. This all comes with frustrating timing for the 26-year-old center fielder, who is sporting a cool .298/.345/.459 batting line with six home runs and six stolen bases through 56 games this season. Alen Hanson and Willy Garcia will continue to share time in center for the White Sox. Charlie Tilson (foot) is on track to begin a minor league rehab assignment in early July. Jun 19 - 12:00 PM
