Luis Jimenez has signed a contract with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.
The 27-year-old third baseman was a .217/.253/.268 hitter in three major league seasons, hopping between the Angels, Brewers, and Red Sox. Jimenez will find steadier playing time in Korea and could try to return to North America over the winter if things go well. Jun 15 - 2:49 PM

Brewers designated INF Luis Jimenez for assignment.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 15 games for the Brewers this season, but has logged just 15 at-bats, netting one hit in the process (.067) while striking out six times. He owns a career .299/.335/.509 line in the minor leagues, so there's a chance that other teams could be willing to take a flier on him as infield depth.

Brewers claimed INF Luis Jimenez off waivers from the Angels.

The Angels tried to sneak him to the minors after removing him from the 40-man roster, but the Brewers scooped him up. Jimenez, 26, has hit only .234/.268/.291 in 151 plate appearances in the majors, but he sports a career .299/.335/.509 minor league line. He'll presumably battle for a bench job in spring training.
