Leonys Martin went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in Sunday's loss to the Royals.

Martin's two-run single off of Kelvin Herrera in the seventh inning put the Rangers on the board. They would score an additional run in the frame to tie the score at 3-all before Salvador Perez untied it with a solo homer an inning later. This season, the center fielder is hitting a lackluster .237/.277/.339 with three homers and 18 RBI.

With Shin-Soo Choo excelling out of the leadoff spot in the Rangers lineup, Martin is hitting seventh on Saturday. With his return, Delino DeShields Jr. will head back to a reserve role on the Rangers bench.
