Twins designated LHP Adam Wilk for assignment.

Wilk was lit up for six runs in only 3 1/3 innings in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians. Because this is the second time the Twins have designated him for assignment, Wilk can opt for free agency if he clears waivers.
Jun 17 - 6:53 PM

Adam Wilk was lit up for eight hits and six runs over 3 1/3 innings Saturday in the Twins’ loss to Cleveland.

He walked three and struck out two. Wilk labored through a difficult first inning, yielding two walks and three hits including a solo home run by Jose Ramirez. All of the damage came with two outs. Paul Molitor mercifully ended his day after Wilk began the fourth inning by allowing hits to three of the first four batters he faced. Teams should probably stop using Wilks as a starter as he’s now 0-5 with an ERA north of 10 in five career starts.
Jun 17 - 6:30 PM

Twins recalled LHP Adam Wilk from Triple-A Rochester.

Wilk will start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians. He's 0-4 wit ha 9.20 ERA in four career starts at the big league level, so feel free to fire up Indians' hitters in all fantasy formats on Saturday afternoon.
Jun 17 - 11:53 AM

Adam Wilk will start one game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians.

The other game will be started by Adalberto Mejia. Teams are allowed to carry 26 players during doubleheaders, so it will likely be one-and-done for Wilk. The left-hander is 0-4 with a 9.20 ERA in four career starts in the major leagues and will not be a recommended streaming option for daily players.
Jun 15 - 4:36 PM

Twins sent LHP Adam Wilk outright to Triple-A Rochester.

Wilk cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and has accepted an outright assigned rather than elect free agency. He'll provide rotation depth in the minors.
May 29 - 5:00 PM

Twins designated LHP Adam Wilk for assignment.

Wilk was claimed off of waivers from the Mets earlier in the month. He registered a 3.86 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 4/5 K/BB ratio over seven innings with the Twins. There's a chance that he could once again attract interest on waivers.
May 27 - 10:47 AM

Twins claimed LHP Adam Wilk off waivers from the Mets.

Wilk was designated for assignment by New York on May 8 after getting pounded for six runs -- five earned -- over 3 2/3 innings in a spot start against the Marlins. He could immediately join the Twins' rotation.
May 10 - 3:43 PM

Mets designated LHP Adam Wilk for assignment.

Wilk made a spot start Sunday in place of the suspended Matt Harvey and was bombed for six runs -- five earned -- over 3 2/3 innings. He'll surely clear waivers.
May 8 - 6:12 PM

Adam Wilk was lit up for six runs -- five earned -- over 3 2/3 innings Sunday as the Mets fell to the Marlins.

Wilk gave up eight hits, including three home runs, in the ugly spot start. The 29-year-old left-hander is probably headed back to Triple-A Las Vegas.
May 7 - 3:55 PM

Mets purchased the contract of LHP Adam Wilk from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Wilk will make a spot start Sunday versus the Marlins in place of the suspended Matt Harvey. The left-hander has posted a 5.91 ERA over six starts for Las Vegas, although it's come along with a 29/5 K/BB ratio over 32 frames. He's not a good streaming option.
May 7 - 10:50 AM

Mets signed LHP Adam Wilk to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Wilk posted a decent 3.61 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 75/13 K/BB ratio in 87 1/3 innings (15 starts) last season for Triple-A Durham. He'll presumably function as organizational rotation depth for the Mets in 2017. Or maybe they'll try the 29-year-old southpaw as a reliever.
Jan 12 - 3:48 PM

Rays signed LHP Adam Wilk to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Wilk made one appearance with the Angels last season and posted an ugly 5.59 ERA and 105/40 K/BB ratio in 145 innings at the Triple-A level. The 28-year-old will likely provide organizational depth in 2016.
Tue, Jan 19, 2016 04:03:00 PM

Angels designated LHP Adam Wilk for assignment.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Conor Gillaspie. Wilk has spent almost all of this season at Triple-A Salt Lake, posting a 5.52 ERA over 102 2/3 innings.
Fri, Jul 24, 2015 01:26:00 PM

Angels optioned LHP Adam Wilk to Triple-A Salt Lake.

The Angels sent him down to make room for Garrett Richards, who will make his debut Sunday. Wilk only made one appearance, pitching two innings against the Tigers on Wednesday. Wilk will probably be up again the next time an Angels reliever gets hurt.
