Angels optioned LHP Adam Wilk to Triple-A Salt Lake.

The Angels sent him down to make room for Garrett Richards, who will make his debut Sunday. Wilk only made one appearance, pitching two innings against the Tigers on Wednesday. Wilk will probably be up again the next time an Angels reliever gets hurt.

Angels purchased the contract of LHP Adam Wilk from Triple-A Salt Lake.

The bullpen needed a fresh arm after having to go 5 1/3 innings Tuesday. Wilk could stick around until Sunday when Garrett Richards (knee) is expected to rejoin the rotation.

Angels reassigned LHP Adam Wilk to minor league camp.

He was never a real threat to crack the Angels bullpen on Opening Day. He'll function as organizational depth at the Triple-A level and should get a chance with the Halos at some point during the 2015 season.

Angels signed LHP Adam Wilk to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Wilk, 26, had a 4.72 ERA across 24 starts and four relief appearances this past season with the Pirates' Triple-A affiliate. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2012 as a member of the Tigers and figures to function as minor league depth next season.

Adam Wilk pitched three scoreless innings in his start Sunday and has allowed one run in 10 innings this spring.

He's given up seven hits, walked one and struck out six. Wilk, a left-hander who spend last season in Korea, is probably going to wind up in the Triple-A rotation.

Tigers optioned LHP Adam Wilk to Triple-A Toledo.

He got the boot just minutes after being pummeled for six runs on eight hits and two walks over only two innings against the light-hitting Mariners. It's not clear who will take his spot in the rotation, as Doug Fister is unlikely to be ready. Duane Below is an option to be pulled out of the bullpen.

Adam Wilk was knocked around by the Mariners Wednesday, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks over just two innings.

He struck out just one. Wilk didn't pitch particularly well in his previous two starts, either, and he was optioned to Triple-A right after this outing. It's not clear yet who will replace him in the rotation.

Adam Wilk had a rough night against the Rangers on Thursday allowing three runs on ten hits in just four innings of work.

He struck out two and walked one in the game. This was Wilk's second start filling in for the injured Doug Fister, but with efforts like this he may not be long for the rotation. He'll attempt to improve on this effort when he takes on the Mariners next week.

Adam Wilk left Saturday's game after being hit by a foul ball while sitting in the Tigers' dugout between innings.

Collin Balester had to warm up in a hurry and enter the game. The ball hit Wilk on his shoulder, but he was diagnosed with a contusion and should be fine to make his next start. He allowed two runs over five innings before exiting.
