Nationals activated 1B/OF Tyler Moore from the 15-day disabled list.
Moore missed a little over two weeks with a left ankle sprain. The 28-year-old has batted just .200/.253/.347 in 162 plate appearances this season, but he'll provide some much-needed outfield depth for the Nationals in his return to the active roster on Thursday. Sep 3 - 2:57 PM

Tyler Moore (ankle) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with High-A Potomac.

Moore suffered a left ankle sprain last week, but he should be back in September. The 28-year-old is batting .200/.253/.347 with four home runs and 22 RBI over 162 plate appearances this season.
Aug 25 - 1:49 PM

Nationals placed INF/OF Tyler Moore on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 19, with a left ankle sprain.

Moore suffered the injury when he stepped on a ball in the batting cage on Thursday. He should be back in early September.
Aug 21 - 2:55 PM

Tyler Moore was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI against the Giants on Saturday.

Moore doubled home a run in the fourth inning before hitting a two-run double in the sixth. He then added an RBI single in the seventh. It was his first three-hit game of the season. The 28-year-old is batting .227/.277/.400 in part-time duty this year.
Jul 4 - 2:37 PM

Tyler Moore slugged a solo homer Friday against the Brewers.

It was his fourth home run of the season. The 28-year-old is batting just .187/.235/.387 through 41 games, but he should continue to see plenty of playing time with Jayson Werth (wrist) and Ryan Zimmerman (plantar fasciitis) both sidelined.
Jun 13 - 12:48 AM

Tyler Moore drove in five runs with a homer and a triple in the Nationals' 9-8 victory over the Braves on Friday.

Moore is out of options, which is one of the reasons the Nationals protected themselves by adding Mike Carp and Kila Ka'aihue on minor league deals. Moore, who has hit .239/.295/.418 with 18 homers in 414 at-bats for the Nationals over the last three years, wouldn't be an asset as an everyday first baseman or DH, but he'd make for a decent stopgap for any team that loses its starter. As a result, there's a pretty good chance he'll find himself elsewhere on Opening Day.
Mar 6 - 5:57 PM

Nationals recalled 1B/OF Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse.

Moore, 27, is batting .214/.295/.371 over 31 games with the Nationals this season. He'll function as a right-handed bat off the bench down the stretch.

Nationals optioned 1B/OF Tyler Moore to Triple-A Syracuse.

Tyler Moore went 2-for-4 with two runs batted in as the Nationals defeated the Mets on Friday.

Moore knocked in the Nationals' third run in the first inning with an RBI groundout, then added his second RBI with a single in the third inning. Moore has seen an increase in playing time since Adam LaRoche went on the disabled list and has now hit safely in four consecutive games.

Nationals recalled 1B/OF Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse.

Moore has hit .200/.273/.433 in 30 at-bats with the Nats this season. He's worth owning in NL-only leagues as he sees some time at first base while Adam LaRoche (quad) is on the disabled list.

Nationals optioned 1B Tyler Moore to Triple-A Syracuse.

Moore hit .200/.273/.433 in 30 at-bats with the Nats. The team optioned him to make room for Doug Fister on the active roster.

Tyler Moore went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored on Friday against the Phillies.

It was his second home run of the season. Moore is quite strikeout prone, but he could see at-bats against southpaws while Bryce Harper (thumb) is on the disabled list. Still, that doesn't leave much room for fantasy value, even in NL-only leagues.

Tyler Moore went 3-for-5 and hit his first homer Monday against the Marlins.

Moore was getting a start at first base in place of Adam LaRoche tonight. That won't happen very frequently, but maybe the Nationals will give him a couple of starts in left while the outfield is banged up. That would give him a little short-term value in NL-only leagues, but probably only a little.

Nationals recalled INF/OF Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse.

Moore is replacing Scott Hairston (oblique) on the roster. He'll provide a bat off the bench for the Nationals.
Sun, Apr 6, 2014 10:37:00 AM

Nationals optioned OF Tyler Moore, LHP Xavier Cedeno, and RHP Ryan Mattheus to Triple-A Syracuse.

No real surprises among this round of cuts. Moore did not hit well this spring and registered a weak .607 OPS in 178 plate appearances last summer for the Nationals. He'll be organizational depth this season. Cedeno and Mattheus didn't make the grade for the Opening Day bullpen but should get action this year in the bigs.
