According to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, free agent Anthony Bass "has multiple offers in hand."

Cotillo's source claims Bass "may command a major league deal," though that sounds like typical agent-speak. The 29-year-old right-hander posted a 3.65 ERA, 1.437 WHIP, and 71/47 K/BB ratio in 103 2/3 innings (14 starts, 23 relief appearances) last season for the Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan. He had a 4.50 ERA in 64 innings of relief with the Rangers in 2015.

Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles are showing interest in Anthony Bass.

Bass, 29, held a 3.65 ERA over 37 appearances -- 14 starts -- in Japan this past season and has decided to return to the states. It's unclear whether he'll be able to net a guaranteed contract.

Anthony Bass wants to return to the majors after spending this past season with the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan.

Bass, 29, posted a 3.65 ERA over 37 appearances -- 14 starts -- in Japan this past season. The owner of a 4.40 ERA over 278 1/3 career major league innings, Bass will likely have to settle for a minor league contract.

Anthony Bass is signing with Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters of the Japanese Pacific League.

Bass was released earlier Thursday to pursue a deal with the Japanese club. The 28-year-old owns a 4.40 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 278 1/3 career MLB innings.

Mariners released RHP Anthony Bass.

Bass has an opportunity to pitch in Japan and the Mariners will let him pursue that more-financially-lucrative dream. Seattle acquired the 28-year-old right-hander from the Rangers in mid-November as part of the Leonys Martin trade. Bass owns an underwhelming 4.40 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 6.0 K/9 in 278 1/3 career major league frames.

Right-hander Anthony Bass moved from Texas to Seattle in Monday's five-player deal.

Bass had a 4.50 ERA in 64 innings as a low-leverage reliever in the Texas pen last year. How low leverage? Well, he didn't have a single win, loss, save or hold all year long. He'll compete for one of the final spots in the Seattle bullpen.

Rangers recalled RHP Anthony Bass from Triple-A Round Rock.

Bass owns a 4.35 ERA and 38/14 K/BB ratio over 51 2/3 innings this season. He'll operate in middle relief.

Rangers optioned RHP Anthony Bass to Triple-A Round Rock.

Bass has really struggled this month with a 5.23 ERA. Phil Klein has taken his spot in the bullpen.

Anthony Bass could start on Wednesday against the Angels.

It's possible he'll be needed in relief before then, and if that happens the Rangers would need an alternate plan. Bass doesn't figure to be a long-term solution in Derek Holland's (shoulder) absence, as they could give Wandy Rodriguez or Anthony Ranaudo a shot.

Anthony Bass did a tremendous job in long relief on Friday, allowing one run on four hits over five innings of work against the Astros.

Bass was called upon in the second inning after Derek Holland departed with an injury, and did his part to keep the Rangers in the ballgame. In the event that Holland requires a trip to the disabled list, it's likely that Bass would be the one to fill his vacancy and could derive some value in AL-only formats.

Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Anthony Bass from Triple-A Round Rock.

The Rangers had been hoping to trade for a left-handed reliever to take Bass' spot, but they were unable to do so. Bass held a 5.79 ERA this spring and will work in middle relief.

Anthony Bass was obliterated by the Dodgers in Friday's Cactus League start, allowing eight runs (six earned) on six hits and a walk in just 2/3 of an inning.

Two of the six hits left the yard in the form of home runs from Yasiel Puig and Matt Carson. Bass has been in the running for a spot at the back end of the Rangers starting rotation, though this rough outing is certain to hurt his chances.

Anthony Bass held the Padres scoreless over 3 1/3 innings in Saturday's start.

Bass is competing for a job at the back of the Rangers' rotation and has done well for himself thus far, having also thrown two scoreless innings against the Indians on Sunday. He limited the Padres to three hits while walking none and striking out three.

Anthony Bass twirled a pair of scoreless innings Sunday as the Rangers defeated the Indians 8-7.

Bass doesn't have much of a chance to make the Rangers' 25-man roster, but he would serve as depth throughout the season. He was outrighted off the Astros' 40-man roster on in November after posting a 6.33 ERA in 27 innings during the season.
