Phillies agreed to terms with Venezuelan outfielder Carlos Tocci.

As expected. According to Ben Badler of Baseball America, the 16-year-old outfielder will receive $759,000, which is one of the highest bonuses the organization has ever given an international amateur free agent. Carlos Tocci - OF - Phillies

According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com, the Phillies are "extremely close" to an agreement with Venezuelan outfielder Carlos Tocci.

The deal could be finalized this week when Tocci turns 16. He is expected to receive $750,000, one of the largest signing bonuses the Phillies have ever given a Latin American player. Highly-regarded for his speed and hitting potential, Tocci checks in at 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds.

General manager Ruben Amaro said Doc has pretty good range of motion and is "pretty positive."
