Hernan Perez (wrist) went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout in his return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins.
Perez missed a few days with a wrist issue, but he should be good to go moving forward. He started in right field Sunday and should see semi-regular playing time while Ryan Braun (back) is sidelined. May 21 - 9:03 AM

Hernan Perez was unavailable on Tuesday night against the Diamondbacks because of a wrist injury.

Jonathan Villar got a second straight start at second base and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. It's unclear whether Perez will be able to return for Wednesday afternoon's series finale in Arizona.
May 16 - 1:00 AM

Hernan Perez is starting at second base for the Brewers on Monday for the fourth time in the last five games.

Perez is batting only .263/.280/.400 on the season, but he's 11-for-26 at the plate so far in May and it seems like he's become the preferred option at second base for manager Craig Counsell. The 27-year-old does have three home runs in a part-time role this season and has proven to be a pretty good base stealer in the past. Perez should be owned in deeper leagues. Jonathan Villar has started just three games this month.
May 14 - 6:31 PM

Hernan Perez hit two doubles and knocked in three runs in a 5-1 win over Arizona on Sunday in the Cactus League.

Perez was a disappointment in 2017 in which he posted a .289 on-base percentage and stole just 13 bases; well off his 34 steals in 2016. Fortunately for him, he does provide versatility with the ability to play all over the field, and he does have some pop with 27 homers in the last two seasons. It's tough to see him earning much playing time with the Brewers, but if there was an injury -- or a trade -- that opened things up, he'd be worth taking a flyer on.

Brewers and INF/OF Hernan Perez avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract.

The financial details aren't yet available. Perez was eligible for arbitration for the first time.
Jan 12 - 3:14 PM

Hernan Perez drove in five runs Saturday as the Brewers pasted the Cubs 15-2.

Perez scored the first run of the game on Travis Shaw's double in the top of the third inning. That turned into an eight-run frame for the visiting Brew Crew, with Perez later contributing a run-scoring sac fly. He then cranked a two-run shot in the top of the fifth and an RBI single in the top of the sixth. Perez is batting just .264 with a .292 on-base percentage in 120 games this season, but he's slugging .434 with 14 home runs and 12 stolen bases.

Hernan Perez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.

Perez uncoiled for a solo home run off Yu Darvish with one out in the third inning. The versatile performer is slashing .260/.289/.431 on the season with 13 homers, 42 RBI and 11 steals in 112 games. He swiped 34 bags a year ago, but has attempted just 14 this time around.

Hernan Perez went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Friday’s win over the Cubs.

Perez, who made the start at second base, had a double and an infield single in the victory. The 26-year-old utility man has mostly matched his production at the plate from last season, but he’s just 9-for-12 in stolen base attempts this season after swiping 34 bases last year.

Hernan Perez had just one hit, a solo home run, over four at-bats in Saturday's victory against the Phillies.

Perez has managed 11 home runs this season, but it was his first over 20 games dating back to June 18. After riding the I-75 shuttle between Detroit and Triple-A Toledo for parts of his first four years in the majors, a deal to Milwaukee has helped him find a home. He banged 13 homers last season for a career high, and he appears to be on pace to smash that mark.

Hernan Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Perez knotted the score up at 1-1 with his solo homer off Luis Perdomo in the sixth inning. He has done a respectable job on the whole this season, hitting .273/.301/.485 with 10 homers, 31 RBI and five steals in 227 at-bats. He swiped 34 bases last season, a mark which he might be hard-pressed to match unless he starts to pick up the pace on that front.

Hernan Perez is not in the Brewers' starting lineup Friday against the Padres.

Lewis Brinson is in left field and batting seventh versus San Diego right-hander Miguel Diaz. Perez has slashed .276/.306/.484 with nine home runs, 30 RBI, five stolen bases, and 26 runs scored in 61 games this season for Milwaukee.

Hernan Perez finished Saturday's game in Arizona with a home run and two RBI.

Perez has homers in back-to-back games for the first time since April 24-25. He is just four homers shy of the career high he set last season in his first full year in Cream City.
Sun, Jun 11, 2017 03:41:00 AM

Hernan Perez went 3-for-4 with an RBI double against the Mets on Thursday.

Perez has started games at six positions this year and done well, hitting .277 with five homers in 166 at-bats. Unfortunately, he's not running like he did last year; he went without a steal in May and is just 2-for-3 overall after coming in at 34-for-41 in 123 games in 2016. He's not worth playing in mixed leagues while he's doing so little running.

Hernan Perez went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in Friday’s extra-inning loss to the Diamondbacks.

Perez made the start in left field and batted third with Ryan Braun (calf) back on the disabled list. The 26-year-old was a valuable piece in fantasy leagues last year and is batting .274/.314/.479 with five home runs, 19 RBI, two steals, and 20 runs scored through 42 games this season. He’s in a great situation in this lineup, so he’s worth considering in mixed fantasy leagues as long as the playing time is there.

Hernan Perez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer Friday against the Mets.

Perez made the start in left field and should see plenty of playing time while Ryan Braun (calf) is on the disabled list. The 26-year-old was a useful piece in fantasy leagues last year and is batting .281/.333/.542 with five homers, 16 RBI, and two steals through 30 games this year. He should be worth using in most mixed leagues for the next week or so.
