Vincent threw a successful simulated inning on Tuesday and is ready to set out on a rehab assignment. With Short-A Everett, he is scheduled to toss one inning come Friday. A strained muscle in the middle of his back has kept him on the shelf for over a month, but prior to the injury, he held a respectable 3.47 ERA and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 frames.

Vincent has been out for over a month with a strained muscle in the middle of his back, but he could finally be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment if all goes well on Tuesday. The 30-year-old posted a 3.47 ERA and 42/9 K/BB ratio over 36 1/3 innings prior to hitting the DL.

Nick Vincent (back) is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment over the All-Star break.

Working his way back from a strained muscle in his middle back, Vincent is expected to be activated shortly after the All-Star break if all goes well. He's been terrific for the Mariners this season with a 3.47 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 innings.

Mariners placed RHP Nick Vincent on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 27, with a mid-back sprain.

The move paves the way for Wade Miley to return from his own disabled list stint. Vincent had pitched well prior to the injury, turning in a 3.47 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 innings. An immediate timetable for his return is not yet known.

Nick Vincent earned his second career save Sunday in the Mariners' defeat of the Angels.

Vincent took over for Mariners starter Wade Miley in the bottom of the eighth inning and got two quick outs, so manager Scott Servais decided to just go ahead and stick with him for the ninth. Vincent delivered 1 2/3 hitless innings, whiffing two. Steve Cishek is not in danger of losing his closer gig, but Vincent should probably get more high-leverage looks going forward. He was always pretty good in San Diego, and the 29-year-old right-hander boasts a 2.16 ERA, 0.48 WHIP, and 10/0 K/BB ratio over his first 8 1/3 innings this season with the Mariners.

Mariners acquired RHP Nick Vincent from the Padres for a player to be named later.

Vincent is out of options and apparently wasn't going to make San Diego's bullpen. The 29-year-old spent a large chunk of last season in the minors, but he owns a 2.63 ERA with 9.6 K/9 and 2.3 BB/9 over 161 appearances in the majors. He's a good pickup for Seattle.

Padres recalled RHP Nick Vincent from Triple-A El Paso.

Vincent had previously worked 12 2/3 innings with the Padres, allowing five earned runs on 17 hits over that space. He should slot back into middle relief duty now that he's back with the team.

Padres optioned RHP Nick Vincent to Triple-A El Paso.

The Padres bullpen threw a lot of pitches in Tuesday night's win, and Vincent, who threw 33 of them, was the sacrificial lamb to get a healthy arm up to the bigs. Vincent should find his way to the majors again later this season.

Padres recalled RHP Nick Vincent from Triple-A El Paso.

Padres optioned LHP Nick Vincent to Triple-A El Paso.

The 28-year-old appeared in three games already for the Padres, and is the victim of a roster crunch to get a fresh arm into the bullpen. He should be back with the big league club within a week or two.
