Nick Vincent surrendered two runs on three hits over 2/3 of an inning in Thursday's loss to the Tigers.
Vincent came on with the Mariners up 2-1 in the eighth inning, but he was unable to keep the scoreboard clean. After Victor Martinez and Mikie Mahtook picked up singles in the frame, the reliever walked James McCann to load the bases before surrendering a two-run single to Jose Iglesias to put the M's down a run. There would be no late rally. All of this is just the continuation of what's been a struggle of a season for Vincent, who owns a 4.50 ERA in 18 innings. May 18 - 1:42 AM

Nick Vincent (arm) threw another bullpen session on Tuesday.

Vincent is over the soreness in his pitching arm and should be cleared to face live hitters later this week. The 31-year-old posted a 3.20 ERA and 50/13 K/BB ratio over 64 2/3 innings last season and should pitch in a set-up capacity in 2018.

Mar 4 - 11:50 AM

Nick Vincent has yet to throw live batting practice this spring in Mariners camp because of lingering arm soreness.

Vincent is hoping to begin facing live hitters within the next few days and then head into Cactus League action soon after that. For now, this isn't a serious concern. The 31-year-old right-hander posted a cool 3.20 ERA in 64 2/3 innings last season out of the Mariners' bullpen.

Mariners and RHP Nick Vincent avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.325 million contract.

It's his first year of arbitration eligibility. Vincent held a 3.73 ERA and superb 65/15 K/BB ratio over 60 1/3 relief innings for the Mariners last season.

Vincent threw a successful simulated inning on Tuesday and is ready to set out on a rehab assignment. With Short-A Everett, he is scheduled to toss one inning come Friday. A strained muscle in the middle of his back has kept him on the shelf for over a month, but prior to the injury, he held a respectable 3.47 ERA and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 frames.

Vincent has been out for over a month with a strained muscle in the middle of his back, but he could finally be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment if all goes well on Tuesday. The 30-year-old posted a 3.47 ERA and 42/9 K/BB ratio over 36 1/3 innings prior to hitting the DL.

Nick Vincent (back) is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment over the All-Star break.

Working his way back from a strained muscle in his middle back, Vincent is expected to be activated shortly after the All-Star break if all goes well. He's been terrific for the Mariners this season with a 3.47 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 innings.

Mariners placed RHP Nick Vincent on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 27, with a mid-back sprain.

The move paves the way for Wade Miley to return from his own disabled list stint. Vincent had pitched well prior to the injury, turning in a 3.47 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 42/9 K/BB ratio across 36 1/3 innings. An immediate timetable for his return is not yet known.

Nick Vincent earned his second career save Sunday in the Mariners' defeat of the Angels.

Vincent took over for Mariners starter Wade Miley in the bottom of the eighth inning and got two quick outs, so manager Scott Servais decided to just go ahead and stick with him for the ninth. Vincent delivered 1 2/3 hitless innings, whiffing two. Steve Cishek is not in danger of losing his closer gig, but Vincent should probably get more high-leverage looks going forward. He was always pretty good in San Diego, and the 29-year-old right-hander boasts a 2.16 ERA, 0.48 WHIP, and 10/0 K/BB ratio over his first 8 1/3 innings this season with the Mariners.

Mariners acquired RHP Nick Vincent from the Padres for a player to be named later.

Vincent is out of options and apparently wasn't going to make San Diego's bullpen. The 29-year-old spent a large chunk of last season in the minors, but he owns a 2.63 ERA with 9.6 K/9 and 2.3 BB/9 over 161 appearances in the majors. He's a good pickup for Seattle.
