Rockies placed RHP Justin Miller on the 15-day disabled list with oblique tightness.

The veteran right-hander posted a 5.35 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 37/17 K/BB ratio over 35 1/3 innings with the Rockies. Oblique injuries can be tricky, so it's difficult to speculate on how much time he may miss.

Miller was brought into a 7-4 game in the eighth and left in once the Rockies made it 9-4. He's probably not going to be a candidate for additional saves.

Someone had to get the ax with Anibal Sanchez returning from the disabled list on Sunday, and Miller happened to be the casualty. The 26-year-old posted a 3.48 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 5/1 K/BB ratio in 10 1/3 innings with the Tigers this season. He'll be back the next time that they need a bullpen arm.
