Date:

Jarrett Grube has elected to become a free agent.

He had been taken off the Mariners' 40-man roster a couple months ago. Grube, who will turn 35 next month, held a 3.92 ERA at Triple-A in 2016 and hasn't appeared in the majors since 2014.
Oct 14 - 9:44 AM

Mariners sent RHP Jarrett Grube outright to Triple-A Tacoma.

Grube has posted an underwhelming 4.13 ERA across 113 1/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. The right-hander is now off the Mariners' 40-man roster.
Aug 30 - 3:56 PM

Mariners optioned RHP Jarrett Grube to Triple-A Tacoma.

Grube was called up on Wednesday but never saw any action. His lone big league appearance came in 2014 when he was a member of the Angels. Perhaps he'll return when rosters expand in September.
Aug 11 - 7:51 PM

Mariners purchased the contract of RHP Jarrett Grube from Triple-A Tacoma.

The Mariners signed Grube to a minor league contract in early June after he was released by the Indians. In 90 Triple-A innings between the Mariners' and Indians' affiliates, the veteran right-hander held a 4.20 ERA. He last pitched in the majors back in 2014, with the Angels.
Aug 10 - 6:29 PM

Mariners signed RHP Jarrett Grube to a minor league contract.

He's been assigned to Triple-A Tacoma. The 34-year-old posted a 4.43 ERA in 44 2/3 innings for Triple-A Columbus before asking the Indians for his release. Grube's one major league appearance came with the Angels in 2014. He'll serve as organizational depth.
Jun 9 - 7:59 PM

Indians released RHP Jarrett Grube.

The Indians said that they released Grube (who had been pitching at Triple-A Columbus) to allow him to pursue other opportunities. This is sometimes the case when minor league players are considering a possible move to one of the Asian baseball leagues such as the KBO, but that is just one potential option remaining for Grube. The 34-year-old right-hander has just one major league appearance to his name. That came with the Angels in 2014.
Jun 8 - 9:51 PM

Indians re-signed RHP Jarrett Grube to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Grube, 34, split last season between the Mexican League and Triple-A Columbus with the Indians, posting a 2.26 ERA and 68/19 K/BB ratio over 79 2/3 innings at the latter stop. He appeared in one game in the majors in 2014 with the Angels and is a long shot to crack the Indians' Opening Day roster.

Angels optioned RHP Jarrett Grube to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Grube was with the team for just two days, allowing a run on two hits in his 2/3 of an inning. He'll continue to serve as bullpen depth in the minor leagues.

Angels purchased the contract of RHP Jarrett Grube from Triple-A Salt Lake.

The 32-year-old right-hander was sporting a 3.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 51/18 K/BB ratio in 61 1/3 innings (11 starts) this year at Triple-A. He's not fantasy-relevant.
Sat, May 31, 2014 06:25:00 PM

Angels signed RHP Jarrett Grube to a minor league contract.

It's not clear if the deal includes an invite to spring training. Grube, 31, posted a 6.16 ERA and 83/25 K/BB ratio in 92 innings last season between Double-A Arkansas and Triple-A Tacoma. He's strictly a depth signing.
Sat, Dec 1, 2012 12:26:00 PM

Mariners re-signed RHP Jarrett Grube to a minor league contract.

He'll also get an invite to spring training. Grube, 30, posted 3.88 ERA and 120/38 K/BB ratio over 144 innings this season between Double-A Jackson and Triple-A Tacoma. He's unlikely to make an impact at the major league level.
