Sep 29 - 10:44 PM

Nick Delmonico hit a two-run homer off Blake Parker in the bottom of the 10th to give the White Sox a 6-4 win and eliminate the Angels on Wednesday.

The Twins are officially the AL's second wild card. Delmonico also had an RBI double and a single in the contest. He struggled in his first 2 1/2 weeks back from a sprained wrist, but he's going 5-for-13 with three extra-base hits the last three days.
Sep 28 - 12:38 AM

Nick Delmonico went 2-for-4 with a two-run double against the Angels in Monday's win.

It's been a struggle for Delmonico since he came off the disabled list on Sept. 6, but tonight's game was nice. He's still hitting just .196 with 15 strikeouts in 51 at-bats for the month.
Sep 25 - 11:50 PM

Nick Delmonico went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Saturday’s victory over the Tigers.

Delmonico took Myles Jaye deep in the first inning to get the scoring started for Chicago. The 25-year-old started strong upon his call-up to the majors on August 1, but he’s batting just .194 (6-for-31) with two homers in 10 games since returning from the disabled list earlier this month.

Delmonico injured his shoulder in the fourth inning while diving for a Carlos Santana single. He remained in the game until the ninth, when he was lifted as a precautionary measure. The White Sox will reevaluate him on Thursday. Delmonico was just activated from the 10-day disabled list earlier on Wednesday after mending from a right wrist sprain.
Sep 6 - 11:43 PM

White Sox activated 1B/OF Nick Delmonico from the 10-day disabled list.

Delmonico missed only 11 days with a right wrist sprain. The 25-year-old was off to a terrific start with the White Sox, boasting a .307/.429/.573 batting line with six home runs over his first 22 major league games. However, his minor league numbers suggest there will be some regression in store down the stretch.
Sep 6 - 4:01 PM

Nick Delmonico (wrist) is scheduled to take batting practice Tuesday.

It will be his first time taking BP since landing on the disabled list with a right wrist sprain on August 26. There's no clear timetable for his return, but he's getting closer. Delmonico was hitting .307/.429/.573 with six homers and 12 RBI in 22 games prior to the injury.
Sep 4 - 12:43 PM

White Sox placed INF Nick Delmonico on the 10-day disabled list with a right wrist sprain.

It still remains unclear how much time he'll miss with the issue. The 25-year-old has done a nice job in his limited time with the White Sox, slashing .307/.429/.573 with six homers and 12 RBI in 22 games.
Aug 26 - 2:18 PM

Nick Delmonico was scratched from the White Sox' lineup Friday with a sprained right wrist.

It's unclear at this point when Delmonico was injured or whether he might miss additional games. He's been a big bright spot for the White Sox since his promotion, batting .307/.429/.573 with six homers over 22 games.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: The outlook for Justin Verlander keeps on improving, as the White Sox were already without typical leadoff man Leury Garcia, but they'll now be without arguably their hottest hitter. Verlander has a 24.3 K-BB% and 12.4 SwStr% over his last seven starts with just a 27.3 GB%, but a hard hit rate below 30% which alleviates the concern with fly balls/line drives. Target him confidently on Friday.
Aug 25 - 6:00 PM

Nick Delmonico connected for a solo homer as the White Sox dropped the nightcap of Monday’s doubleheader against the Twins.

His fifth-inning solo shot was the only offense for the White Sox before Adam Engel hits solo homer of his own in the ninth. Delmonico has been a huge surprise for Chicago since his call-up, batting .343/.443/.642 with six homers and 12 RBI over 19 games. His numbers in the minors didn’t really stand out and he’s sporting a BABIP approaching .400, so we’re skeptical about jumping aboard, but the opportunities should continue to be there down the stretch.
Aug 22 - 12:08 AM

Nick Delmonico hit two home runs, including one of the inside-the-park variety, during a 4-3 victory over the Rangers.

He swatted a standard two-run shot off starter Andrew Cashner in the sixth inning. He produced the winning run in the eighth inning by lining a deep drive that led the right fielder to crash into the wall and drop to the ground while Delmonico circled the bases. The red-hot rookie has an amazing .382/.452/.691 slash line with five homers and 11 RBI in 15 games. He had a .262 batting average with 12 home runs in 99 games at Triple-A Charlotte before getting the call to the majors.
Aug 19 - 1:17 AM

Nick Delmonico went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo homers Wednesday against the Dodgers.

The good times won't last forever, but at the moment, Delmonico is sporting a 1.088 OPS in 48 at-bats as a big leaguer. The White Sox had been starting to sit him some since Avisail Garcia returned, but one imagines this will help him become a lineup fixture for a little while.
