White Sox INF prospect Nick Delmonico launched two homers Monday in a win for Double-A Birmingham.
The 23-year-old has now gone deep five times in his last six games. He leads the Southern League with 10 homers and is second in RBI with 31. He also leads the league in batting average (.338), slugging percentage (.676) and OPS (1.073). Delmonico only needs three more homers to match his career-high set in 2013. White Sox signed INF Nick Delmonico to a minor league contract.

Delmonico was acquired by the Brewers from the Orioles at the 2013 trade deadline in exchange for Francisco Rodriguez. The 22-year-old batted just .262/.300/.404 over 37 games at the High-A level in 2014 before being suspended 50 games for testing positive for an amphetamine and eventually being released by Milwaukee last week. While his resume so far is pretty underwhelming, Delmonico is still young and is worth another shot.

Brewers prospect infielder Nick Delmonico has been suspended 50 games for testing positive for an amphetamine.

Delmonico, who was acquired from the Orioles for Francisco Rodriguez last July, was batting .262/.300/.404 with four homers and 15 RBI over 37 games this season in High-A. The suspension essentially ends his season.

Brewers acquired 3B Nick Delmonico from the Orioles in exchange for RHP Francisco Rodriguez.

A former sixth-round pick, Delmonico was ranked as the Orioles' No. 4 prospect coming into the season by Baseball America. He's had some injury issues and is batting just .244/.351/.471 at High-A this season, though he has popped 13 homers. He just turned 21 and is obviously a long ways away from making an impact.

Nick Delmonico has been placed on the 7-day minor league disabled list with a concussion.

The Orioles don't have a timetable for his return. A sixth-round pick in 2011, Delmonico had a 1.071 OPS in 11 games with High-A Frederick this season.
