Yankees outfield prospect Mason Williams was arrested early Thursday in Tampa, Florida on a DUI charge.

An officer spotted the 21-year-old Williams weaving in and out of lanes and pulled him over. Williams submitted to a breathalyzer and passed with a 0.06 blood-alcohol reading (under the Florida limit of 0.08), but he did not pass the field sobriety test. He was booked into the Hillsborough County jail and later released on $500 bail. Apr 25 - 11:45 AM

Mason Williams - OF - Yankees

Yankees prospect outfielder Mason Williams said Wednesday that said his left shoulder is close to 100 percent that he should be back to "full practice" in two weeks.

Williams required season-ending surgery last August to repair a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, but he expects to be ready to start 2013 with High-A Tampa. Regarded as the Yankees' top prospect, the 21-year-old outfielder batted .298/.346/.474 with 11 homers, 20 stolen bases and an .820 OPS last season between Class A and High-A.

The first baseman is currently aiming to be activated from the disabled list by May 31, but the Yankees are at the top of the American League East standings and could decide to play it safe by letting his minor league rehab assignment linger into early June. Teixeira is on his way back from a torn tendon sheath. May 20

Nunez recently resumed swinging a bat, but he's obviously still not feeling well enough to be playing. The Yankees will continue to roll with Jayson Nix at shortstop, with Alberto Gonzalez getting called up to provide infield depth. May 12

3B	1	Alex Rodriguez D.L. Alex Rodriguez (hip) fielded grounders and took 25 swings in an indoor batting cage Monday at the Yankees' minor league complex in Tampa, Florida. Kicking off his third week of on-field activities following hip surgery, Rodriguez also ran from pole to pole near the warning track four times. "Not bad," said Rodriguez. It's not clear when he'll begin playing in games, but the Yankees hope to have him back around midseason. May 20

	3	Andy Pettitte D.L. Yankees placed LHP Andy Pettitte on the 15-day disabled list with a strained trapezius muscle. Pettitte suffered the injury during Thursday's start against the Mariners. It's believed to be minor, but the Yankees don't want to take any chances with the 40-year-old southpaw. Vidal Nuno is slated to replace him on the active roster and will likely get a start or two. 	5	Ivan Nova D.L. Yankees manager Joe Girardi indicated that Ivan Nova (triceps, side) is slated to pitch Monday in Tampa. Nova, currently sidelined with triceps inflammation, experienced discomfort in his upper back while playing catch over the weekend. However, it apparently wasn't a major setback. The assumption is that he'll pitch in extended spring training on Monday, though there's nothing official on that yet. David Phelps will continue to fill his spot in the rotation for now. May 16

	7	Michael Pineda D.L. Michael Pineda (shoulder) is scheduled to throw 50 pitches Friday, either in extended spring training or an intrasquad game. Yankees manager Joe Girardi didn't disclose any plans about a rehab assignment, but he expects Pineda to pitch in the majors at some point this summer. "We’ll continue to build him up," said Girardi. "Starters, as you know, take a lot longer than relievers because you have to get them to 100 pitches. For a kid that hasn’t pitched in a couple of years, that’s something you may want to see a couple of times to make sure he’s ready to go every fifth day." May 16
