Making his first major league start, Daniel Corcino yielded two runs over six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Brewers.

Corcino was a last-minute replacement for Mat Latos, who was scratched with a bone bruise in his right elbow. The 24-year-old pitched very well in a pinch, giving up just two hits and one walk to go along with four strikeouts. He threw 52 out of 79 pitches for strikes. It's unclear whether he'll get another start, but he made a strong case for himself if Latos needs to miss additional time.
