Kole Calhoun went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Indians.

Calhoun just couldn't get anything going from the lead-off spot. Given that the Angels only managed five total hits for the contest, he was just a cog in the machine of failure. He's hitting .262/.321/.431 with 19 homers and 66 RBI this season.
Aug 28 - 9:56 PM

Kole Calhoun went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win against the White Sox.

Calhoun went yard with a man on base against John Danks in the first inning. It's his fifth home run in the month of August, giving him 18 on the year along with 65 RBI and a .268/.325/.440 triple-slash line.
Aug 19 - 12:42 AM

Kole Calhoun belted a go-ahead solo home run off Wade Davis in the eighth inning on Sunday.

Unfortunately the Angels bullpen was unable to protect that lead and the Halos would wind up falling to the Royals. Calhoun also got the Angels on the board in the sixth inning when he tripled off Royals starter Yordano Ventura then dashed home on a wild pitch. He finished the evening 2-for-4 and is now batting .270/.329/.439 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI on the season.
Aug 16 - 11:22 PM

Kole Calhoun delivered a two-run double in the ninth inning on Thursday, leading the Angels to a come-from-behind 7-6 victory over the Royals.

The Angels trailed 5-1 heading into the eighth inning where they scratched out a pair of runs. They then hung four runs on closer Greg Holland in the ninth inning, with Calhoun's two-run knock breaking a 5-5 tie and proving to be the difference. Calhoun finished the night 2-for-5 and is now hitting .273/.329/.434 with 16 homers and 62 RBI.
Aug 14 - 12:19 AM

Kole Calhoun hit his 15th home run of the season and the Angels came back to deliver a walk-off, 4-3 win over the Indians on Wednesday.

Calhoun's solo homer in the fourth inning was the only run the Angels could muster before the three-run ninth inning. The blast was his only hit in four at-bats. Calhoun is enjoying another nice season in Anaheim, hitting .277/.330/.438 with 15 homers, 59 RBI and 49 runs scored overall.
Aug 5 - 6:57 PM

Kole Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.

Calhoun's solo homer off Dodgers reliever Jim Johnson tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth inning, though the Dodgers would eventually win 5-3 in 10 innings. While Mike Trout and Albert Pujols rightly get the bulk of the attention in the Angel lineup, Calhoun's been productive in his own right and is hitting .279/.333/.437 with 14 homers, 57 RBI and four steals.
Aug 2 - 7:45 PM

Kole Calhoun is not in the Angels starting lineup for Saturday afternoon's contest against the Dodgers.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia is utilizing his improved bench to give Calhoun a breather against dominant left-hander Clayton Kershaw. Shane Victorino will start in right field while David DeJesus gets the call in left.
Aug 1 - 1:34 PM

Kole Calhoun went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Twins.

Calhoun, who has been on fire, was destined to torment Mike Pelfrey. He did just that. The outfielder, who came into tonight with three homers in his past four games, is slashing .276/.332/.438 and is on pace for 22 dingers and 91 RBI.
Jul 23 - 1:17 AM

Kole Calhoun homered again and the Angels routed the Red Sox to take game one of Monday's doubleheader.

Calhoun, who finished 1-for-2 with a walk, drilled a two-run home run to right-center as part of a seven-run second inning against Eduardo Rodriguez. It's his third home run in two days and his sixth in his last 11 games. The outfielder now has 13 home runs, 51 RBI, and a .273/.329/.440 batting line.
Jul 20 - 8:27 PM

Kole Calhoun went 3-for-3 with two homers and a walk Saturday against the Red Sox.

Calhoun played the role of Mike Trout in this one, collecting 60 percent of the Angels' hits in the 3-0 victory. Thanks to his resurgence -- he has five homers in his last 10 games -- it again looks like the Angels have three quality hitters in their lineup, rather than just two.
Jul 18 - 11:53 PM

Kole Calhoun turned in his fourth straight two-hit game Tuesday, finishing 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in a win over the Rockies.

The outfielder has been on a tear in recent days, going 8-for-19 with three doubles, two homers, 10 RBI and seven runs scored over his past four games. The good stretch has helped raise his line just in time for the All-Star break, as he's now hitting .268/.322/.406 with nine homers, 46 RBI and 35 runs scored. He's still got a few more days to improve on those numbers before the break.
Jul 8 - 12:38 AM

Kole Calhoun had a nice day at the dish in Sunday's victory over the Rangers, going 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI.

Calhoun also scored a pair of runs in the ballgame. His three-run blast off Anthony Ranaudo in the fifth inning increased the Angels lead to 12-1. With the two-hit attack, he's now hitting .266/.320/.403 on the season with nine long balls and 46 RBI.
Jul 5 - 10:20 PM

Kole Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a homer and a walk against the Rangers on Saturday.

Calhoun also doubled twice and drove in four runs Friday. The Angels badly need for him to get going, especially in the power department. His fantasy owners would appreciate it, too.
Jul 5 - 1:16 AM

Kole Calhoun singled twice and scored the winning run on a wild pitch as the Angels edged the Mariners 3-2 in 10 innings Sunday.

Calhoun singled in the go-ahead run to give the Angels a 2-1 lead in the eighth, though that was later coughed up by Huston Street. In the 10th, he singled off Tom Wilhelmsen and came around to score on the wild pitch with two outs. He's been a big fantasy disappointment of late, but now that he's back hitting in front of Mike Trout, rather than in the middle of the order, he seems like a better bet.
