Kole Calhoun went 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
Amazingly, Calhoun did his damage over four different at-bats. The outfielder hit an RBI double in the first inning before collecting an RBI groundout in the fourth, a sacrifice fly RBI in the sixth and another run-scoring groundout in the ninth. They all look the same in the scorebook, as they say, and his four RBI gives him 54 RBI on the year. The 28-year-old is hitting .283/.364/.431 overall. Jul 27 - 12:07 AM

Jul 4 - 10:55 AM

Kole Calhoun went 3-for-5 with a solo home run as the Angels lost to the Athletics on Saturday.

The home run was his 10th of the season. He will have to pick up the pace a bit if he hopes to match the 26 home runs he hit last year. His home run power may be down a little but most of his other stats are better this year than last. Calhoun's .292 batting average with 44 runs and 40 RBI make him an underrated fantasy commodity.
Jun 26 - 2:28 AM

Kole Calhoun belted a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.

Calhoun took Michael Pineda deep in the fifth inning to pull the Halos to within 5-3 at the time, but that's as close as they would get. It was Calhoun's seventh longball on the season, and he's now sporting a .300/.377/.465 batting line with 32 RBI.
Jun 7 - 9:53 PM

Kole Calhoun homered and knocked in two runs Friday against the Pirates.

Calhoun also drew a pair of walks. The 28-year-old socked a career-high 26 home runs last season, but he was headed in the wrong way with his plate discipline. He has made major improvements so far this year. He’s sporting a career-low strikeout rate and a career-high walk rate while batting .298/.382/.439 over 53 games.

May 23 - 3:51 PM

Kole Calhoun went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk against the Twins on Friday.

His seventh-inning blast against Tommy Milone put the Angels in front, but the bullpen wasn’t able to hold it. Calhoun has been the Angels’ best hitter so far, batting .412/.474/.559 through 10 games. Of course, with Mike Trout on his team, he isn’t likely to keep that title for very long.
Apr 16 - 12:34 AM

Kole Calhoun went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in the Angels' 9-8 win over the Padres on Saturday.

It was Calhoun's first homer of the spring. The Angels apparently plan to bat Calhoun fifth versus righties and second against lefties. That's a change from last month, when Calhoun figured to be in front of Mike Trout on a full-time basis. However, Daniel Nava's big spring changed that. Besides, Calhoun had a .308 OBP last year, so it's not as though he deserves to hit second.
Mar 27 - 1:13 AM

Kole Calhoun went 3-for-3 with two runs scored against the Athletics on Thursday.

All three hits were singles. Calhoun established new career-highs with 26 home runs and 83 RBI last season, but he saw a big bump in strikeouts and drew fewer walks. We wouldn’t bank on similar power numbers in 2016, but getting on base more often and scoring more runs would be a fair tradeoff. He figures to hit second in front of Mike Trout in 2016.
Mar 3 - 7:31 PM

This means he'll go through the arbitration process four times as opposed to the usual three. According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register and MLB Trade Rumors, the 28-year-old outfielder just barely made the cut-off. Calhoun should get a nice payday after reaching career-highs with 26 home runs and 83 RBI this season.
