Rougned Odor belted his first home run of the season Monday in the Rangers' loss to the Yankees.
Odor took Masahiro Tanaka deep for a three-run shot in the bottom of the fourth inning. That tied the game at 4-4, though the Yankees would go on to win 10-5. It's been a rough start to the year for Odor, but he's capable of getting hot for stretches and this is hopefully the start of something good. May 22 - 12:00 AM

Rougned Odor went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.

Odor collected an RBI double off Lucas Giolito in the second inning to give the Rangers an early 2-0 lead. That advantage would not hold, though, as the White Sox would come back with four runs in the third inning to take the lead, a lead which they would not relinquish through to the end of the game. This season, Odor is slashing a terrifyingly tough .177/.246/.242 with no home runs and just seven RBI through his first 19 games played. He did miss close to a month with a strained hamstring earlier this year and his power bat figures to come to life at some point -- he's cracked at least 30 home runs each of the past two seasons -- but until he starts to hit the ball with authority, it's difficult to trust him for fantasy purposes. Even when he's going well, his game has some clear built-in downsides.

Rougned Odor went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in his return from the disabled list Friday.

Odor ended up missing almost exactly one month with a left hamstring strain. He was off to a slow start before the injury and disappointed with a .204/.252/.397 batting line last season. The pop and speed will play in fantasy leagues, but a change in approach would make him more palatable.
May 12 - 12:13 AM

Rangers activated 2B Rougned Odor from the 10-day disabled list.

Odor has been sidelined for the last month with a strained left hamstring, but he made it through five rehab games without any issues. He is at second base and batting seventh against Justin Verlander and the Astros.
May 11 - 4:24 PM

Rougned Odor (hamstring) is set to be activated from the disabled list on Friday.

Odor has two singles and an RBI through three minor league rehab games between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. The second baseman landed on the disabled list April 9 because of a severe left hamstring strain. He should be in the Rangers' starting lineup for Friday night's series opener in Houston.
May 9 - 12:18 PM

Rougned Odor (hamstring) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Odor went 1-for-5 with a double in two rehab games with Double-A Frisco, starting one game at designated hitter and one at second base. It's unclear how many games for Round Rock he will play, but all signs point to him being activated from the disabled list at some point later this week.
May 7 - 5:31 PM

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels indicated Monday that Rougned Odor (hamstring) is at least another week away from returning.

Odor has already missed three weeks with a left hamstring strain, so we're now talking about a month. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will continue to cover second base duties for now.
Apr 30 - 3:34 PM

Rougned Odor is doing agility drills on the field as he continues his recovery from a left hamstring strain.

Odor, who was hurt two weeks ago today, has been doing some hitting in his rehab. He's not expected to come off the DL this week, but he could return during the first week of May.
Apr 23 - 3:13 PM

Rangers placed 2B Rougned Odor on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

Odor initially tweaked the hamstring last Thursday before aggravating it Monday as he ran back to first base following a fly out. The expectation is that he'll miss around three weeks, which places his return around the start of May. Jurickson Profar will pick up some starts at second base during his absence.
Apr 10 - 7:12 PM

Rougned Odor (hamstring) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday afternoon.

The Rangers are waiting on the results, but it's likely Odor ends up on the disabled list. Jurickson Profar is starting in his place at second base on Tuesday.
Apr 10 - 5:20 PM

Rangers manager Jeff Banister indicated after Monday's game against the Angels that Rougned Odor (hamstring) is likely to be placed on the disabled list.

Odor aggravated a left hamstring injury on Monday that he initially hurt earlier this month. He'll be re-evaluated Tuesday before a final decision on his status is made, but the 10-day DL looks like a given here. It would put Jurickson Profar in line to play second base for the Rangers for a while.
Apr 10 - 12:04 AM

Rougned Odor was lifted from Monday's game versus the Angels with a left hamstring strain.

Odor first tweaked his hamstring earlier this month in a game against the A's and aggravated it Monday as he ran back to first base following a flyout. The second baseman will be re-evaluated on Tuesday, at which point we should have a better idea how much time he might miss. Jurickson Profar should handle second while Odor is sidelined.
Apr 9 - 8:33 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win in Oakland.

Odor entered the game just 1-of-16 (.063) with no extra-base hits, one RBI and five strikeouts. This was the first time in six outings he hasn't struck out. Odor, pardon the pun, stunk last season, hitting a dismal .204. However, he swatted at least 30 home runs for the second straight season and he showed a more discerning eye at the plate with a career-high 32 walks. Odor still has work to do, but he is a decent source of power among middle infielders. Hopefully he can get back to the .260-.270 level in batting average that he showed over his first three seasons.
Apr 4 - 2:18 AM

Rougned clubbed a two-run homer in the third inning on Monday, helping to power the Rangers to a 6-5 victory over the Reds.

Odor victimized Reds' starter Tyler Mahle for his two-run blast in the third inning. The dynamic second baseman is hitting just .200 with three long balls and eight RBI in spring competition.
Mar 27 - 1:11 AM

Rougned Odor finished with a pair of singles, a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's victory against the Athletics.

It wasn't all great for Odor, as he booted a ground ball for his 19th error of the season. The three-hit game put the brakes on an ugly 0-for-22 slide over his past nine outings. He hit below .216 in every month this season except July.
