Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple Friday against the Blue Jays.

After finding himself in a modest slump, Odor has now hit safely in four straight games. The 20-year-old has held his own in his first taste of the majors, batting .272/.306/.416 with 14 extra-base hits (including three home runs) over 54 games. He's worth using in deeper mixed leagues when a right-hander is on the mound.
Jul 18 - 10:16 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a triple, homer, two runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 setback against the A's.

Odor has posted multi-hit games in four of his last six. Texas is only one game below .500 despite a spate of injuries because of revelations like Odor. Now slashing .312/.330/.505 through 93 at-bats, the top prospect deserves to be moved up from the No. 9 hole.
Jun 18 - 1:54 AM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in his return to the lineup against the Marlins on Tuesday.

Odor sprained his right shoulder in Sunday's game, but he was back in the lineup and didn't miss a beat on Tuesday. The second baseman delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning that gave the Rangers a short-lived lead, his 14th RBI in 25 games. Odor is hitting .301/.325/.479 on the year and may be moved up in manager Ron Washington's lineup soon to try to give the offense a boost.
Jun 11 - 12:12 AM

Rougned Odor (shoulder) is back in the Rangers' starting lineup Tuesday night versus the Marlins.

Odor injured his right shoulder Sunday on a headfirst dive back into the first base bag. An MRI was taken and came up clean. He may be sore for a few days, but the injury-riddled Rangers need bodies at this point.
Jun 10 - 4:10 PM

An MRI on Rougned Odor's right shoulder came back clean.

Odor left Sunday's game after suffering a sprained right shoulder, but fortunately for the injury-riddled Rangers, it's nothing serious. He'll take batting practice Monday and could return to action in the next day or two.
Jun 9 - 4:26 PM

Rougned Odor was removed from the fifth inning of Sunday's game against the Indians after suffering a sprained right shoulder.

The Rangers are considering him day-to-day for the time being, though he is scheduled to undergo more examinations on Monday. He sustained the injury while diving headfirst back into first base on a pickoff attempt in the fifth inning.
Jun 8 - 5:04 PM

Rougned Odor was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Indians in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.

Odor seemed to injure himself while diving back to first base on a pickoff move. He walked off the field under his own power, but was replaced to start the next half inning. The team should provide an update on his status shortly.
Jun 8 - 4:43 PM

Rougned Odor belted a two-run homer off Trevor Bauer on Friday, powering the Rangers to a 6-4 victory over the Indians.

The second inning blast was Odor's lone hit in three at-bats on the night. He has certainly been impressive at the plate in the early going, slashing .284/.310/.478 with two homers and 13 RBI in his first 67 at-bats. He makes for a nice middle infield option in deeper mixed leagues.
Jun 6 - 11:53 PM

Rougned Odor finished 4-for-5 with two triples and five RBI in Saturday's 12-2 rout of the Tigers.

Odor is the second-youngest player in American League history to tally two triples in a single game. The only younger player to do so was Jimmie Foxx. The Rangers' 20-year-old infielder is suddenly slugging .500 in 12 games since his promotion to the major league level.
May 24 - 8:06 PM

Rougned Odor went 0-for-3 at the plate in his return to action Tuesday.

Odor was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup but wound up missing just the one game with a sore right wrist. The young infielder is hitting just .179/.207/.286 for the Rangers.
May 21 - 4:18 AM

Rougned Odor was a late scratch from the Rangers' lineup Sunday due to a sore right wrist.

It's unclear when Odor was injured and if the ailment might be more than a day-to-day situation. Luis Sardinas is starting at second base in his place.
May 18 - 2:09 PM

Rougned Odor hit his first major league homer as part of a 2-for-4 night against the Astros on Monday.

Odor has started four of five games since his callup and gone 4-for-16. He should be a pretty useful fantasy second baseman until Jurickson Profar returns.
May 13 - 12:06 AM

Rangers purchased the contract of INF Rougned Odor from Double-A Frisco.

The move comes as a bit of a surprise, but the Rangers need help at second base with Jurickson Profar (shoulder) still sidelined and Donnie Murphy headed to the disabled list with a neck injury. Ranked as the No. 42 prospect in the game by Baseball America this winter, the 20-year-old was hitting .279/.314/.450 with six home runs and six stolen bases over his first 32 games this season in Double-A. He's been especially hot recently, hitting .480 (12-for-25) this month. It's unlikely the Rangers called him up with the intention to sit him on the bench, so he's worth a flier in AL-only and deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
May 8 - 4:23 PM

Rangers prospect 2B Rougned Odor was 3-for-5 with a double, triple, home run and four RBI Tuesday for Double-A Frisco.

Odor, 20, has made up for a slow start this season with a nine-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .421/.450/.737 with five extra-base hits (three home runs), 10 RBI and two steals. Overall, the left-handed hitting second baseman is batting .279/.314/.450 with 21 runs, six homers, 17 RBI and six stolen bases in 32 games. He could get a look in the major leagues later this season should Jurickson Profar struggle or miss time.
