Rougned Odor went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Saturday, dropping his average to .158.
Odor's .158 average hardly stands out among Rangers regulars, so he's not in any danger of losing playing time. The team's offense certainly isn't great, but it can't be this bad, and Odor still projects as a contributor in mixed leagues. Apr 19 - 1:13 AM

Rougned Odor filled the box score Tuesday, collecting an RBI double, stealing a base and scoring a run in a win over the Angels.

Promoted to the leadoff spot Tuesday, Odor responded by acting like a leadoff man. He led off the game with a walk, stole second base -- his first steal of the season -- and scored on a Mitch Moreland single. He then hit an RBI double in the second inning. It's been a slow start for Odor and the Rangers offense, but the 21-year-old is only getting better and should put up some helpful numbers if he can stick atop the lineup.

Rougned Odor is batting leadoff for the Rangers on Tuesday night against the Angels.

Leonys Martin has been bumped down to the eighth spot. Odor owns a weak .299 on-base percentage in 122 career major league games, but he's only 21 years old and has shown a little bit of early improvement in that department this season. He obviously carries more fantasy potential at the top of the Texas lineup.
Apr 14 - 4:54 PM

Rougned Odor was removed from Sunday's Cactus League game against the Dodgers with a bruised shin.

Odor appeared to get spiked as Adrian Gonzalez slid into second base on his fourth inning double. The Rangers have listed him as day-to-day, so the minor injury shouldn't impact his availability for the start of the regular season.
Mar 29 - 6:03 PM

Rougned Odor will miss Monday's game because he'll undergo a root canal.

He'll be back in game action in a couple days. Odor has six hits in his first 15 at-bats this spring.
Mar 15 - 12:18 PM

Rougned Odor slugged a solo home run in one of his two at-bats in Monday's victory over the Athletics.

Odor is off to a good start, batting .364 (4-for-11). The 21-year-old is coming off of a solid showing in his rookie campaign last year -- logging 30 extra-base hits in 417 plate appearances -- and will start everyday at second base.
Mar 9 - 7:22 PM

Rougned Odor went 3-for-3 with a double in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Brewers.

The second baseman was hitless in four at-bats to start the spring. Odor, 21, held his own as a rookie, batting .259/.297/.402 with nine homers and four steals in 114 games. Now the Rangers' starter at the keystone, it should be an even bigger sophomore season for Odor.
Mar 7 - 6:32 PM

Rougned Odor has been deemed untouchable by the Rangers, per Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post.

The Rangers are expressing strong interest in some of the Nationals' starting pitching depth, but Washington asked for Odor and the response was a firm "no." Odor, 20, hit .259/.297/.402 with nine home runs and 48 RBI in 114 games this past season as a rookie. He appears to be entrenched as the Rangers' starting second baseman.

Pete Kerzel of MASN Sports hears that the Nationals may have interest in Rangers infielder Rougned Odor.

Kerzel speculates that Odor could be part of a return package for either Doug Fister or Jordan Zimmermann. However, both Fister and Zimmermann are going into their walk years, so a window to negotiate an extension would likely be necessary for Texas to consider a deal. Odor, who turns 21 in February, batted .259/.297/.402 with nine home runs and 48 RBI over 114 games as a rookie in 2014 and is under team control through 2020. Jurickson Profar is another name who could be of interest to the Nationals, but he's a wild card after missing 2014 with a nagging shoulder injury.

Rougned Odor went 2-for-3 with his ninth homer, a double, a walk and a steal Wednesday against the Astros.

Filling up the box score nicely. Odor is certainly still something of a raw product at age 20 (witness the seven caught stealings with just four successes), but it hasn't stopped him from hitting .261 and slugging .407 in 371 at-bats. It'll be interesting to see just how the Rangers play things this winter, with Jurickson Profar coming off a lost year and Elvis Andrus regressing. It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for Odor to spend a couple of months in Triple-A to begin next year, but he's already viable as a major league starter.

Rougned Odor delivered a two-run double Saturday against the Braves.

It was the big blow in a three-run sixth inning against Julio Teheran. Interestingly, Odor has batted third in four out of his last six games. Of course, that's mostly a matter of a lack of talent in Texas' lineup right now than anything else.

Rougned Odor was 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and two runs scored against the Astros on Friday.

Now that the Mets have called up Dilson Herrera, Odor is no longer the youngest player in the majors. Still, this should put in perspective why the 20-year-old has scuffled in his first exposure to major league pitching. Through 89 games, he owns a .247/.281/.381 batting line with a 57/11 K/BB ratio. On the bright side, four of his seven homers this season have come in August.

Rougned Odor had two of the Rangers' five hits Thursday in the loss to the Yankees.

One was a double. Odor is 9-for-23 (.391) with a 3/2 K/BB ratio since the All-Star break. In 169 at-bats in the first half, he struck out 31 times and walked just six times.

Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple Friday against the Blue Jays.

After finding himself in a modest slump, Odor has now hit safely in four straight games. The 20-year-old has held his own in his first taste of the majors, batting .272/.306/.416 with 14 extra-base hits (including three home runs) over 54 games. He's worth using in deeper mixed leagues when a right-hander is on the mound.

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a triple, homer, two runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 setback against the A's.

Odor has posted multi-hit games in four of his last six. Texas is only one game below .500 despite a spate of injuries because of revelations like Odor. Now slashing .312/.330/.505 through 93 at-bats, the top prospect deserves to be moved up from the No. 9 hole.
