Rougned Odor has been deemed untouchable by the Rangers, per Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post.
The Rangers are expressing strong interest in some of the Nationals' starting pitching depth, but Washington asked for Odor and the response was a firm "no." Odor, 20, hit .259/.297/.402 with nine home runs and 48 RBI in 114 games this past season as a rookie. He appears to be entrenched as the Rangers' starting second baseman. Pete Kerzel of MASN Sports hears that the Nationals may have interest in Rangers infielder Rougned Odor.

Kerzel speculates that Odor could be part of a return package for either Doug Fister or Jordan Zimmermann. However, both Fister and Zimmermann are going into their walk years, so a window to negotiate an extension would likely be necessary for Texas to consider a deal. Odor, who turns 21 in February, batted .259/.297/.402 with nine home runs and 48 RBI over 114 games as a rookie in 2014 and is under team control through 2020. Jurickson Profar is another name who could be of interest to the Nationals, but he's a wild card after missing 2014 with a nagging shoulder injury.

Rougned Odor went 2-for-3 with his ninth homer, a double, a walk and a steal Wednesday against the Astros.

Filling up the box score nicely. Odor is certainly still something of a raw product at age 20 (witness the seven caught stealings with just four successes), but it hasn't stopped him from hitting .261 and slugging .407 in 371 at-bats. It'll be interesting to see just how the Rangers play things this winter, with Jurickson Profar coming off a lost year and Elvis Andrus regressing. It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for Odor to spend a couple of months in Triple-A to begin next year, but he's already viable as a major league starter.

Rougned Odor delivered a two-run double Saturday against the Braves.

It was the big blow in a three-run sixth inning against Julio Teheran. Interestingly, Odor has batted third in four out of his last six games. Of course, that's mostly a matter of a lack of talent in Texas' lineup right now than anything else.

Rougned Odor was 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and two runs scored against the Astros on Friday.

Now that the Mets have called up Dilson Herrera, Odor is no longer the youngest player in the majors. Still, this should put in perspective why the 20-year-old has scuffled in his first exposure to major league pitching. Through 89 games, he owns a .247/.281/.381 batting line with a 57/11 K/BB ratio. On the bright side, four of his seven homers this season have come in August.

Rougned Odor had two of the Rangers' five hits Thursday in the loss to the Yankees.

One was a double. Odor is 9-for-23 (.391) with a 3/2 K/BB ratio since the All-Star break. In 169 at-bats in the first half, he struck out 31 times and walked just six times.

Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple Friday against the Blue Jays.

After finding himself in a modest slump, Odor has now hit safely in four straight games. The 20-year-old has held his own in his first taste of the majors, batting .272/.306/.416 with 14 extra-base hits (including three home runs) over 54 games. He's worth using in deeper mixed leagues when a right-hander is on the mound.

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a triple, homer, two runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 setback against the A's.

Odor has posted multi-hit games in four of his last six. Texas is only one game below .500 despite a spate of injuries because of revelations like Odor. Now slashing .312/.330/.505 through 93 at-bats, the top prospect deserves to be moved up from the No. 9 hole.

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in his return to the lineup against the Marlins on Tuesday.

Odor sprained his right shoulder in Sunday's game, but he was back in the lineup and didn't miss a beat on Tuesday. The second baseman delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning that gave the Rangers a short-lived lead, his 14th RBI in 25 games. Odor is hitting .301/.325/.479 on the year and may be moved up in manager Ron Washington's lineup soon to try to give the offense a boost.

Rougned Odor (shoulder) is back in the Rangers' starting lineup Tuesday night versus the Marlins.

Odor injured his right shoulder Sunday on a headfirst dive back into the first base bag. An MRI was taken and came up clean. He may be sore for a few days, but the injury-riddled Rangers need bodies at this point.

An MRI on Rougned Odor's right shoulder came back clean.

Odor left Sunday's game after suffering a sprained right shoulder, but fortunately for the injury-riddled Rangers, it's nothing serious. He'll take batting practice Monday and could return to action in the next day or two.

Rougned Odor was removed from the fifth inning of Sunday's game against the Indians after suffering a sprained right shoulder.

The Rangers are considering him day-to-day for the time being, though he is scheduled to undergo more examinations on Monday. He sustained the injury while diving headfirst back into first base on a pickoff attempt in the fifth inning.

Rougned Odor was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Indians in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.

Odor seemed to injure himself while diving back to first base on a pickoff move. He walked off the field under his own power, but was replaced to start the next half inning. The team should provide an update on his status shortly.

Rougned Odor belted a two-run homer off Trevor Bauer on Friday, powering the Rangers to a 6-4 victory over the Indians.

The second inning blast was Odor's lone hit in three at-bats on the night. He has certainly been impressive at the plate in the early going, slashing .284/.310/.478 with two homers and 13 RBI in his first 67 at-bats. He makes for a nice middle infield option in deeper mixed leagues.

Rougned Odor finished 4-for-5 with two triples and five RBI in Saturday's 12-2 rout of the Tigers.

Odor is the second-youngest player in American League history to tally two triples in a single game. The only younger player to do so was Jimmie Foxx. The Rangers' 20-year-old infielder is suddenly slugging .500 in 12 games since his promotion to the major league level.
