Rougned Odor blasted a two-run homer in Game 3 of the ALDS on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Blue Jays and stave off elimination.
Odor took Aaron Sanchez deep with a man aboard in the fourth inning, pulling the Rangers to within a run at 5-4. He finished the night 1-for-2 plus a walk and scored a pair of runs. He also made an errant throw on a potential double play ball in the 10th inning that wound up ending the Rangers' season. Oct 9 - 11:05 PM

Rougned Odor is not in the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

Odor took a bad hop off his shin Saturday, but he's fine. Jurickson Profar will cover second base. Mitch Moreland is also sitting out, as Ryan Rua is at first base.

Rougned Odor smacked his 33rd home run of the season on Friday as the Rangers bested the Rays 3-1 in Texas.

His solo shot off of Rays' starter Matt Andriese in the sixth inning increased the Rangers' advantage to 3-1. Odor also doubled, finishing the night 2-for-4. He has been one of the biggest surprises of the season, slashing .272/.297/.504 with 33 long balls and 88 RBI.
Sep 30 - 11:37 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer in a win over the Brewers on Wednesday.

His homer was the Rangers' second two-run dinger of the first inning. Odor has done amazing things for a 22-year-old this season. He has a .270 batting average with 32 home runs, 87 RBI and 88 runs scored in 148 games. He has chipped in 14 stolen bases as well.

Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 and homered off James Hoyt in the top of the 12th to lead the Rangers to a 4-3 win over the Astros on Monday.

The homer was Odor's 31st. He also collected his 30th double in the game. More than that, he picked up his 17th walk of the year. So, it was a banner game all around for the 22-year-old. His 56th career homer gave him one more than either Adrian Beltre or Cal Ripken Jr. had through age 22.

Rougned Odor (hamstrings) is back in the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

Odor sat out Saturday with some tightness in both hamstrings, but he's expected to be fine. Carlos Beltran, Elvis Andrus and Jonathan Lucroy are getting days off for the Rangers, as the club has Adrian Beltre in the designated hitter spot, Hanser Alberto at third base, Jurickson Profar at shortstop and Robinson Chirinos at catcher.

Rougned Odor launched his 30th homer Monday in a losing cause against the Mariners.

Odor is just the sixth player 22 or younger to hit 30 homers since 2000, joining Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Giancarlo Stanton, Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Manny Machado. That's some very good company. He's blown away the record for homers by a 22-year-old second baseman. In fact, he's the first second baseman ever under 25 to hit 30 homers. Odor still has some things to work on -- he never walks and he can be pretty shaky defensively -- but the sky is the limit.
Sep 5 - 8:17 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Friday’s 10-8 win over the Astros.

His two-run tater was part of a seven-run fourth inning. Odor has now gone deep in each of his last three games (he has four homers over that time) and leads the Rangers with 28 home runs. The 22-year-old has embraced his aggressiveness this season (as evidenced by his 14 walks and a .300 on-base percentage), but it’s working for him.
Sep 3 - 12:28 AM

Rougned Odor hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to give the Rangers an 8-7 win over the Mariners.

Odor finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored, but it was his last hit that loomed the largest. After a leadoff single by Adrian Beltre, Odor drove a low offering from Edwin Diaz to straightaway center to give the Rangers the come-from-behind victory. Odor has 25 homers and 67 RBI this year, and he's hitting .272/.294/.491 overall.
Aug 31 - 12:54 AM

Rougned Odor collected his 22nd homer and fourth triple Thursday against the Rockies.

Odor tied Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr for the most homers in a season by a second baseman 22 or younger. With 46 games left, he figures to blow past that mark. He might even get to 30. Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, Albert Pujols, Giancarlo Stanton and Mike Trout are the only players since 2000 to hit 30 homers in a year at 22 or younger.
Aug 11 - 6:30 PM

Rougned Odor finished 3-for-4 with a pair of solo homers in a win over the Royals on Friday.

It was the second multi-homer game of his career. The first one was a legitimate blast, but the second just barely eked over the right field fence. But it all counts the same in the box score. He’s now up to 21 homers on the year to go along with 54 RBI, 10 steals, and a .282/.301/.508 batting line.
Jul 30 - 12:34 AM

Rougned Odor hit his 19th home run of the season in Thursday's win over the Royals.

Odor connected with a Yordano Ventura pitch in the second inning for one of three solo home runs hit by Rangers batters on the evening. He's already surpassed his single-season high for homers, besting the 16 he hit last year with two months still left to play. With 52 RBI, 62 runs scored and 10 steals to go with a .277/.297/.487 line, the 22-year-old could set a number of personal bests before the year is out.
Jul 28 - 11:59 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 and hit his 17th homer Monday in a losing cause against the Angels.

The decision to move Nomar Mazara down in the lineup could pay dividends for Odor, who is getting a look in the third spot. His 17 homers are the fourth highest total ever for a second baseman 22 or younger. He's also fifth on that list, having hit 16 as a 21-year-old last year. The record is 22, hit by Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr as a 22-year-old in 1940.
Jul 19 - 1:51 AM

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, Rougned Odor rejected an extension from the Rangers that was worth about $35 million over six years with two options years.

That is similar to the contract Gregory Polanco signed with the Pirates this past April. It just so happens Polanco and Odor have the same agent -- Rick Thurman -- but Heyman states in his column Thursday that Polanco "insisted" on signing that very team-friendly contract despite Thurman's hesitance. The strategy is not going to work on Odor. Heyman notes that the Rangers second baseman is "a feisty type who wants to fight hard for the best deal" and made a counteroffer that was apparently then rejected by the Rangers. Odor is under control through 2020. There's no major hurry here on either side.
Jul 14 - 9:57 AM

Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple as the Rangers bested the Twins 6-5 in Arlington on Friday evening.

Odor got the Rangers offense started with an RBI triple in the first inning then came around to score on a single off the bat of Prince Fielder. He has had a very strong first half, slashing .276/.295/.497 with 16 home runs, 44 RBI and seven stolen bases.
