Rougned Odor homered to account for the only run of the game in the Rangers defeat of the Cardinals on Friday.
Odor is hitting .288 with six homers in 14 games this month. Unfortunately, he's stopped stealing bases. He went 4-for-4 in his first 19 games of the year, but he's tried just three since, succeeding twice. He's yet to attempt one in June. Jun 17 - 11:38 PM

Rougned Odor homered twice Wednesday to lead the Rangers to a 7-5 win over the A's.

Odor's two-run homer in the sixth tied the game, and he made it 7-5 with a solo shot in the eighth off Sean Doolittle. Odor's .266 average and .771 OPS aren't spectacular on the surface, but they are pretty impressive for a 22-year-old. His 12 homers lead all Rangers by two.

Rougned Odor played the hero by going 3-for-5 with a game-winning home run in the top of the 11th inning to beat the Mariners 2-1 on Saturday.

All three runs in this game were scored on solo home runs. Adam Lind put the Mariners ahead in the fifth inning, Prince Fielder tied it with two outs in the ninth, then Odor gave the Rangers the edge in the 11th. Odor's home run was his 10th of the season to go along with his 36 runs, 30 RBI, six steals and .268 AVG.
Jun 12 - 1:59 AM

Rougned Odor hit a solo home run and smacked a walk-off RBI double with two outs in the ninth inning of Monday's win over the Astros.

He also added a sac fly, giving him a three-RBI night. Odor hasn't missed a beat since returning from suspension, picking up five hits in 11 at-bats while driving in and scoring three runs. He's currently on pace for 23 home runs, 17 stolen bases, 80 RBI and 97 runs scored.
Jun 7 - 12:12 AM

Rougned Odor has finished serving his suspension and has returned to the Rangers starting lineup on Saturday.

Odor is batting fifth and starting at second base for the Rangers, while Jurickson Profar remains with the club as the designated hitter and continues to bat out of the leadoff slot. Prior to his suspension, Odor was hitting was hitting .262/.287/.444 with seven homers, 25 RBI and six stolen bases.

According to MLB Network's Jon Heyman, the Rangers have "rekindled" extension talks with Rougned Odor.

Odor's agent Rick Thurman sat down with GM Jon Daniels earlier this week. It's unclear how much progress was made but it opened up a dialogue after extension talks had been dormant for months. The Rangers are committed to making Odor their franchise second baseman and the interest appears to be mutual. Fortunately Odor is under team control through 2020, so there's plenty of time to work out a deal.
Jun 2 - 11:09 PM

Rougned Odor's suspension has been reduced from eight games to seven.

His appeal was heard by the league on Tuesday. Odor will begin serving his ban on Friday. Jurickson Profar is expected to take his place on the active roster. This is probably as good a result as Odor could have hoped for. Some thought Odor actually got off easy after slugging Jose Bautista in a game last week. He's eligible to return June 4 against Seattle.
May 26 - 5:24 PM

Rougned Odor's eight-game suspension appeal decision probably won't come until Thursday or Friday.

Odor had the appeal hearing Tuesday, but Jon Morosi of FOX Sports notes that there is "a lot of information being considered" by the people tasked with rendering a ruling. The second baseman was issued the eight-game punishment by Major League Baseball on May 17 for his role in a massive May 15 brawl with the Blue Jays. He could be clearly seen connecting on a punch to Jose Bautista's face. Odor will remain active until the appeal decision is announced.
May 25 - 10:54 AM

Rougned Odor is batting leadoff in the Rangers' starting lineup Tuesday versus Anaheim.

Odor had an appeal hearing for his eight-game suspension on Tuesday afternoon, but the Rangers aren't expecting a ruling to come down before the start of Tuesday night's game against the visiting Angels. The second baseman was issued the suspension (and a fine) for his role in last Sunday's brawl with the Blue Jays. Odor got a clean shot to the face of Jose Bautista after Bautista slid hard into him at the second base bag.
May 24 - 4:16 PM

Rougned Odor is scheduled to have his appeal hearing on his eight-game suspension on Tuesday.

John McHale, the Executive Vice President of MLB will hear the appeal and make the final ruling. Regardless of whether or not the suspension gets lessened, Odor is expected to begin serving his punishment on Friday. That means fantasy owners will need to have an alternative option lined up for next weekend.
May 22 - 9:37 PM

Rougned Odor is not in the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

Odor has had trouble in his career against Dallas Keuchel, so he'll get a breather for this one. Shin-Soo Choo and Mitch Moreland are also sitting against the southpaw, as the Rangers are going with Hanser Alberto at second base, Drew Stubbs in right field and Ryan Rua at first base.

MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports that MLB has suspended Rougned Odor for eight games for his actions during Sunday's brawl with the Blue Jays.

It's right around where most expected the suspension would fall. Odor plans to appeal, so he can continue to play until his case is heard. MLB is expected to announce multiple suspensions and punishments on Tuesday.
May 17 - 2:56 PM

MLB Network's Jon Heyman hears that Rougned Odor is likely to get a suspension around eight games.

That's right around where most have speculated, but MLB is expected to make an official announcement on Tuesday. Odor, who punched Jose Baustista in the jaw on Sunday, will have the ability to appeal the suspension. Additional suspensions are also expected.
May 17 - 1:15 PM

MLB Network's Jon Morosi reports that MLB will announce "multiple" suspensions Tuesday for Sunday's brawl between the Rangers and Blue Jays.

Rougned Odor is expected to receive the lengthiest suspension for punching Jose Bautista in the jaw, but he won't be the only one. Josh Donaldson, Matt Bush, Kevin Pillar, Jesse Chavez, and Blue Jays manager John Gibbons are among those who could also receive fines and suspensions. Stay tuned.
May 17 - 10:45 AM

Rougned Odor is in Monday's lineup versus the Athletics.

Odor will be suspended for socking Jose Bautista in the face on Sunday, but MLB hasn't announced the punishment yet. Expect some word early this week.
