Rougned Odor finished 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Saturday's victory against the Mariners.
Odor has belted five homers in June, already more than any other month this season. After struggling for most of April and May, he is heating up with the weather. He is hitting .278 with four doubles with five home runs and eight RBI in 13 games to raise his average from .207 to .221 since June 1. Jun 17 - 11:48 PM

Rougned Odor went 3-for-4 with two homers to lead the Rangers to a 4-2 win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Odor homered off a pair of tough relievers in Chris Devenski and Luke Gregerson. He also had two homers on Opening Day, but he hadn't done much since. This was his first three-hit game of the year and his first multi-RBI game since May 5. Still, the young second baseman always figured to bust out of his drought at some point.
Jun 14 - 12:56 AM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple and a steal Monday against the Astros.

Odor still hasn't shown any real signs of heating up, but he's played about as badly as he possibly can for 40 percent of the season and still has nine homers and six steals and, given his track record and youth, there remains reason to think improvement is on the way.
Jun 13 - 12:00 AM

Rougned Odor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Astros.

Odor cracked a solo home run off Brad Peacock to lead off the fifth inning, but that merely put a tiny dent in the Astros' 7-0 lead. Houston wound up winning 7-2. This was just Odor's second home run in his last 27 games.
Jun 4 - 6:32 PM

Rougned Odor is batting seventh for the Rangers on Sunday.

He hadn't hit lower than fifth prior to Sunday. Odor's .587 OPS ranks 165th out of 171 qualifiers and his .249 on-base percentage is ahead of only Alcides Escobar's embarrassing .207 mark. The Rangers' second baseman at least has seven homers and five stolen bases, but just one of those longballs has come over his last 26 games.
Jun 4 - 12:54 PM

Rougned Odor went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Odor had a chance to do some damage in this one, but he struck out after Adrian Beltre reached on a double in the fourth and later grounded out with the bases loaded in the sixth. The 23-year-old has been one of the bigger disappointments so far this season, batting just .203/.250/.341 with seven home runs through 55 games.
Jun 3 - 1:20 AM

Rougned Odor swatted his seventh home run of the season in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Odor's three-run blast pulled the Rangers to within a run in the ninth inning, but that would be as close as they would get. It was his lone hit in four at-bats on the evening. It has been a struggle at the plate for him through the first two months of the season, slashing just .208/.262/.365 with seven homers and 22 RBI.
May 26 - 10:50 PM

Rougned Odor was hitless in three at-bats with a strikeout Saturday in Detroit.

Odor's averaged slipped back under the Mendoza line, as he is slashing just .199/.255/.351. The second baseman hasn't exactly torn it up over his career, posting a .258 average, but he has really taken a step back at the plate this season with a WAR at just 0.2. That's his lowest mark since a 0.1 set in his rookie season of 2014.
May 20 - 11:11 PM

Rougned Odor went 1-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base, and a run scored Friday against the Athletics.

Yes, two walks. This was the third two-walk game of his career and his first since way back on September 1, 2014. The 23-year-old has been a major disappointment so far this season, batting just .207/.258/.379 with six homers and 17 RBI through 37 games.
May 12 - 11:51 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Padres.

Odor was an early hero in Thursday's game when his run-scoring single in the ninth inning tied the game at 2-2. He came around to score one batter later when Mike Napoli ended it with a three-run, walk-off blast. The two-hit game raised Odor's average to above the Mendoza Line, and that fact says it all when talking about the 23-year-old's early struggles. He's a much better hitter than he's shown, and perhaps a couple of multi-hit games in recent days is a sign of better things to come.
May 11 - 11:35 PM

Rougned Odor was hitless in four at-bats with a strikeout in Saturday's loss in Seattle.

Odor has struck out at least once in nine straight outings, whiffing 11 times during the span. After firing out of the chute with a .389 batting average over the first five games Odor has been slumping hard. While he has shown signs of snapping out of his funk with three long balls over the past eight starts, he needs to show better discipline at the plate to be trusted outside of deeper fantasy leagues right now.
May 7 - 5:43 AM

Rougned Odor hit a two-run homer in the top of the 13th to push the Rangers past the Mariners 3-1 on Friday.

It was Odor's lone hit of the night, but he made it count in a big way. He has two homers, a double and two walks in three games since being moved into the second spot in the Rangers' order.
May 6 - 3:35 AM

Rougned Odor hit his fifth homer and walked Thursday against the Astros.

Hitting Odor second doesn't seem like the best idea, but he's going 3-for-7 with two walks the last two days in that spot. He'll probably stay there for a spell.
May 4 - 6:13 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk as the Rangers' No. 2 hitter Wednesday against the Astros.

Unfortunately, he was caught stealing for the third try in four times this year. Odor was moved up to the second spot in the order tonight despite entering the game with a .225 OBP this season. He did well, but since the Rangers still lost 10-1 with their remixed lineup, who knows what Jeff Banister will do tomorrow?
May 4 - 12:10 AM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in a big win over the Twins on Wednesday.

He even added a rare walk. He got caught stealing in the third inning. The 23-year-old has struggled out of the gate again this year just like he did last year. Even after tonight's game he is batting just .200/.253/.365 with three homers and 11 RBI. This might be a good time to target Odor in trade talks. He had a .271 batting average with 33 homers, 88 RBI and 14 steals a year ago and is still younger than many top prospects.
