Rougned Odor led off the game with a homer and also added a single in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Odor took Marco Estrada deep to kick off the festivities, and the Rangers made it hold up until a blown save in the ninth inning. The young second baseman has lifted his average from .234 to .277 over the last six games and has moved into the leadoff spot for the Rangers.
May 3 - 11:28 PM

Rougned Odor tripled three times and scored twice in Saturday's win over the Angels.

Odor stood atop the order for the Rangers again, which is a good sign, and set the table nicely with a three-pack of doubles. Greedy fantasy owners likely said that it would've been nice to see him knock in a few runs. That's perhaps the only downfall of his new home in the lead-off role. He's hitting .264/.312/.448 with three homers and four stolen bases. The 22-year-old has been a top-10 fantasy second baseman this month and has the potential to be much more than that.
Apr 30 - 11:49 PM

Rougned Odor hit his third home run of the season in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

Batting leadoff once again, Odor got on the board with a solo shot in the eighth inning of a lopsided win. Still, the 22-year-old will take it, as will fantasy owners. Odor enjoyed a big spring but got off to a slow start out of the gate, and through 21 games he's hitting .234/.272/.403 with three homers, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored and four steals.
Apr 26 - 10:32 PM

Rougned Odor homered to give the Rangers their two runs Wednesday in a 2-1 victory over the Astros.

Odor didn't get the No. 2 spot in the order when Shin-Soo Choo went down, but he is hitting .301 with two homers, four doubles and 13 RBI over his last 10 games. He's going to be a top-notch fantasy second baseman this year.
Apr 21 - 12:58 AM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

It was Odor's two-run double in the sixth inning that broke a 3-3 tie and proved to be the game-winning hit. The second baseman got off to a slow start but is 5-for-17 with four doubles and five RBI in his last four games. Big things are still expected of the 22-year-old this season.
Apr 14 - 11:15 PM

Rougned Odor went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI as the Rangers' leadoff man Monday.

The two-run double probably should have been ruled an error, but Odor will take it. He entered the game with a .130/.231/.261 line in 23 at-bats, and he was given Sunday off.
Apr 12 - 1:19 AM

Rougned Odor is not in the Rangers' lineup Sunday against the Angels.

It's just a day of rest. Hanser Alberto is handling second base in Odor's place.
Apr 10 - 2:14 PM

Rougned Odor doubled, stole a base, and scored a run in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.

The stolen base was his third of the spring. Odor could be in line for a full-on breakout in 2016 after slashing .261/.315/.465 with 16 home runs, 61 RBI, six stolen bases, and 54 runs scored over 120 games last year at age 21. Texas tried unsuccessfully to lock him up to a long-term contract extension this offseason.
Mar 22 - 8:13 PM

According to MLB Network's Jon Heyman, the Rangers tried unsuccessfully to lock up Rougned Odor.

Talks are tabled for now because of what Heyman calls a "decent-sized gap" between what Odor wants and what the Rangers are currently willing to give him. The young second baseman is under contractual control through 2020. It's something that can be revisited next winter.
Mar 21 - 1:06 PM

Rougned Odor (oblique) went 0-for-2 and played five innings at second base in his return to action Friday against the Mariners.

Odor has been sidelined with tightness in his right oblique, so this was his first Cactus League action since March 6. Now that the injury is behind him, it shouldn’t take him long to get ready for Opening Day. The 22-year-old batted .292 with 15 home runs and an .861 OPS over 91 games after his demotion last season and appears poised to emerge as one of the top fantasy options at second base.
Mar 18 - 7:48 PM

Rougned Odor (oblique) went 2-for-4 with a double in two separate minor league games on Thursday.

Odor has been away from Cactus League games for over a week due to some minor tightness in his right oblique, but he said Thursday that he now feels "100 percent." He should be playing in official games any day now.
Mar 18 - 11:58 AM

Rougned Odor (oblique) will be on the field for a full workout Tuesday.

Good news for Odor, who injured his right oblique 10 days ago. Barring any setbacks, a return to Cactus League action shouldn't be far off. The 22-year-old was excellent after returning from his demotion last season and has huge breakout potential in 2016.
Mar 15 - 12:03 PM

Rougned Odor (oblique) took batting practice in the indoor cage on Sunday.

He got through the round without having any issues with his right oblique, so he'll take regular batting practice on Monday. Odor was scratched from a game last week with the oblique ailment but has made a quick recovery and should be cleared to return to the field soon if all goes well.
Mar 13 - 3:37 PM

Rougned Odor (oblique) could take batting practice on Sunday.

The plan had been for him to take BP on Friday, but the Rangers instead opted for Odor to take soft-toss on Saturday. The talented young second baseman is less than a week removed from being scratched from a game with some minor tightness in his right oblique, so he's coming along well. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Odor back in game action by the end of the week if all goes well.
