Braves acquired INF Jace Peterson from the Padres in the Justin Upton trade.
A former sandwich round pick, Peterson batted .307/.402/.447 with 16 steals between Double- and Triple-A last season and got a cup of coffee in the majors. He's a pretty solid middle infield prospect but didn't land in a great situation in Atlanta with Andrelton Simmons holding down shortstop and Jose Peraza on his way at second base. Dec 19 - 5:03 PM
