Dodgers acquired OF Victor Roache from the Brewers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Roache was batting just .176/.238/.230 in 80 plate appearances this season for Double-A Biloxi. The former first-round pick possesses impressive raw power, but he is a 25-year-old non-prospect at this point. May 4 - 1:36 PM

Brewers prospect OF Victor Roache has been promoted to Double-A Biloxi from High-A Brevard County.

Roache is set to receive his first taste of the Double-A level after batting .259/.326/.448 with 10 home runs, 11 doubles and 36 RBI in 63 games for Brevard County. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old also struck out 94 times in 264 plate appearances (35.6% K%) in that span, thus highlighting his extreme swing-and-miss tendencies. Roache also spent the entire 2014 season at Brevard County, giving him an overall batting line of .238/.308/.417 with 28 homers, 28 doubles and a 31.1% strikeout rate in 185 career games in the Florida State League.

Brewers prospect OF Victor Roache enjoyed his best game of the season Sunday, going 3-for-3 with three home runs at four RBI for High-A Brevard County.

Roache's three-homer game has been the highlight of his season, as the 22-year-old is batting .213/.286/.407 with 10 extra-base hits and a 29/8 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 28 games. Roache, the No. 28 overall pick in the 2012 draft, showed big-time power last year in his professional debut with 22 home runs in 119 games, but he also batted just .248 with 137 strikeouts.

According to Jim Callis of Baseball America, the Brewers have signed 2011 first-round pick OF Victor Roache.

The deal is worth $1.525 million, slightly under the pick value of $1.65 million. Roache was selected No. 28th overall out of Georgia Southern in Monday's First-Year Player Draft. While he has some of the best power in this year's draft class, he is coming back from major wrist surgery.

Brewers first-round pick Victor Roache told 1250 WSSP in Milwaukee that he's signing his deal Thursday.

"I’m coming into Milwaukee Thursday to get my physical and sign a contract, do the press conference and all that," said the outfielder from Georgia Southern. Roache was taken 28th overall earlier this week and carries immense upside, though he's currently dealing with hand and wrist injuries, and won't be ready to begin his professional career for at least a couple of weeks.

The Brewers selected Georgia Southern OF Victor Roache with the No. 28 pick in the 2012 draft.

With their second consecutive pick, Milwaukee grabbed an outfielder that some believe is a Top-10 talent in the draft. Roache has good bat speed and power, but he has never played against top competition, so there is some concern about that. He profiles as a corner outfielder, but his arm strength will play well there.
