Cole De Vries told Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he's weighing offers from the Red Sox, Rangers, Orioles and Reds.
Two of the clubs have offered an invitation to spring training, though De Vries wouldn't say which two they were. De Vries holds a 5.08 ERA over 102 2/3 innings at the big league level but has a bit tidier 4.12 mark in the minors. Fri, Dec 20, 2013 02:35:00 PM

Twins sent RHP Cole De Vries outright to Triple-A Rochester.

De Vries made four appearances, two starts, for the Twins this year, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.07 WHIP over 15 innings. The right-hander will serve as rotation depth for the club.

Cole De Vries was destroyed in Sunday’s loss to the Athletics, surrendering six runs on four hits in just two innings of work.

De Vries also issued three free passes while striking out one in the rough outing. He made it through the first inning unscathed, but all hell broke loose in the second where the A’s struck for six runs, highlighted by a three-run homer off the bat of Coco Crisp. De Vries now owns a troublesome 11.70 ERA and 2.40 WHIP through 10 innings with the Twins this season. He’ll likely get another start against the Indians at home on Saturday, but should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Cole De Vries will start on Sunday against the Athletics.

He's taking the rotation spot of the struggling Liam Hendriks. De Vries posted a 0.53 ERA over 17 innings in spring training to earn an Opening Day rotation spot, but a forearm issue in his final Grapefruit League outing sent him to the DL. He'll be making his first start at the big league level since last September. "I finally feel like I’m back to 100 percent," he said. "It only took five months, but what are you going to do?"

Cole De Vries could start on Sunday against the Athletics.

He would be taking the plate of Liam Hendriks, who has really struggled but is also still under consideration for the start. De Vries has a 7.88 ERA in two relief appearances for the Twins this season but put up a 3.99 mark in 16 starts last season.

Twins recalled RHP Cole De Vries from Triple-A Rochester.

The 28-year-old righty pitched well for the Twins in 2012, but has spent the entire season in the minors this year as he works his way back from a forearm injury. He's compiled a 4.96 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 45/15 K/BB ratio over 78 innings across four minor league levels. It's unclear what role he'll be used in with the Twins.

Twins activated RHP Cole De Vries from the 15-day disabled list, optioned him to Triple-A Rochester.

De Vries is over his forearm ailment, but the Twins aren't ready to add him to the rotation yet. However, with much of their starting five struggling, it might only be a matter of time before he gets a shot.

Cole De Vries (forearm) will make his second rehab start with Double-A New Britain on Friday.

De Vries allowed two runs -- one earned -- while giving up six hits over four innings in his first rehab outing on Sunday. "He came through all right," Twins general manager Terry Ryan said. "He got to about 50 pitches or so. So he'll pitch May 10 for New Britain at home and we'll see how he does. We'll stretch him out again." De Vries is expected to be stretched out 100 pitches before becoming an option for the Twins' rotation.

Cole De Vries (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Fort Myers on Sunday.

De Vries hasn't had any issues with his forearm at extended spring training and is ready to test things out in an official game. He could be an option for the Twins' rotation before long.

Cole De Vries (forearm) will make a start in extended spring training on Friday.

De Vries has been dealing with a forearm strain since late in spring training. Even if he avoids a setback, he needs to build up his stamina. He likely won't be available for the Twins until well into May.

Cole De Vries (forearm) is taking the day off Monday after playing catch the past two days.

De Vries is currently sidelined with a right forearm strain. If all goes well, he'll throw off flat ground late this week and a light bullpen session early next week.

Cole De Vries (forearm) is scheduled to play catch Saturday.

It will be his first time throwing since last Friday in Baltimore. De Vries will need to slowly build up his workload before going out on a minor league rehab assignment. The Twins may just keep him in Triple-A once he's back to full health.

Twins placed RHP Cole De Vries on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 30, with a right forearm strain.

It's not clear at this point how long the right-hander will be sidelined. With Scott Diamond slated to rejoin the rotation this week, De Vries might ultimately be bound for the minors. The Twins have recalled Pedro Hernandez from Triple-A Rochester to start in De Vries' place on Sunday.

Cole De Vries (forearm) will not make his scheduled start Sunday.

De Vries has been dealing with a forearm issue over the past week or so. He'll require a backdated stint on the disabled list. It's not clear yet who will fill in for him on Sunday against the Orioles.

Cole De Vries (forearm) threw a bullpen session Wednesday which Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said "just went OK."

De Vries has been dealing with a forearm issue over the past week or so, but the Twins are hopeful that he'll be able to start Sunday against the Orioles. It will likely be a one-start deal, as Scott Diamond (elbow) is expected to make his season debut on April 12.
