Sanchez was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Angels after fouling a ball directly off the knee, but X-rays turned up negative and he's considered day-to-day. The 25-year-old utility infielder might be able to fit in one or two more starts before the end of the regular season.

Sep 26 - 9:11 PM

Yolmer Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a homer and two steals as the White Sox edged the Rays 5-4 on Saturday.

Yolmer has as many homers (nine) in 395 at-bats this season as Carlos did in 643 at-bats over his first three seasons. He's still a below average hitter and a well below average basestealer -- he's just 7-for-15 this year -- but he plays good enough defense that he's a useful part-timer if he can produce at his current clip. He's at .268/.319/.403 right now.

Yolmer Sanchez hit a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Tigers.

In a one-week span, Sanchez has hit three of his eight homers on the year. This one was of the two-run variety off Tigers starter Buck Farmer in the second inning. Sanchez started at second base for the club, a position he'll likely man while Yoan Moncada is on the disabled list. The 25-year-old is hitting .255/.309/.387 through 110 games.

Sanchez went deep off Twins starter Tim Melville in the bottom of the fourth inning and he drove in Nicky Delmonico on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. The 25-year-old utility infielder is still batting just .251/.305/.374 with six home runs and 38 RBI in 104 total games this season.
Aug 21 - 9:05 PM

Yolmer Sanchez went 1-for-3 with a go-ahead two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Rangers.

Sanchez got to play hero in this one, smashing a two-run home run off Jose Leclerc with two outs in the eighth inning to flip what had been a 5-4 advantage for the Rangers to a 6-5 lead for the White Sox. They would go on to win by that final score. In 69 games this season, the 25-year-old second baseman is hitting .275/.337/.410 with four homers and 23 RBI.
Jul 2 - 6:20 PM

Yolmer Sanchez singled and swatted a solo homer Tuesday in Tampa.

We should really say "homer." Sanchez led off the game with a shot to center field that umpires ruled hit one of the catwalks for a home run. The Rays challenged and replays appeared to show it shouldn't have been a homer, but it was not overturned. Hey, it's only Sanchez's 12 career longball in 848 career plate appearances, so he'll take it.
Jun 6 - 10:58 PM

Yolmer Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI as his club lost the second game of a doubleheader against the Tigers on Saturday.

His triple in the ninth inning against Tigers closer Justin Wilson brought the White Sox within a run but they couldn't complete the comeback. Sanchez has hit his way into everyday playing time of late. He is batting .306/.346/.430 with two home runs and 15 RBi in 121 at-bats. The 24-year-old makes for a nice speculative add in deep fantasy leagues.
