The move clears a spot for Freddy Garcia on the active roster. Clark has a 4.56 ERA in five starts with the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate and should go through waivers unclaimed.

No word yet on the corresponding roster move. Clark, 29, owns a 3.71 ERA over parts of nine seasons in the minors and will serve as bullpen depth for Baltimore.

Zach Clark is en route to Seattle and could be added to the Orioles' roster for Tuesday's game.

Clark, who was added to the 40-man roster over the winter, has a 4.56 ERA and 20/7 K/BB ratio in 25 2/3 innings across five starts this season with Triple-A Norfolk. He would presumably serve as bullpen depth.

Orioles purchased the contract of RHP Zach Clark from Triple-A Norfolk.

Clark is now on the 40-man roster. The 29-year-old right-hander posted a solid 2.79 ERA and 98/54 K/BB ratio over 167 2/3 innings this season between Double- and Triple-A. While he's not exactly a prospect at this point, he provides some starting pitching depth in the organization.
