Dodgers activated RHP Josh Ravin from the restricted list; optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Ravin was hit with an 80-game suspension (sans pay) in early May after he tested positive for a performance-enhancer. At the time of his suspension, he was sitting on the 60-day disabled list recovering from a broken left arm suffered in a spring training car crash. Now back at Triple-A, Ravin will try to close out the final two months of the season without issue. The first four months of his 2016 campaign have been problematic, to say the least.

Dodgers right-hander Josh Ravin has been suspended 80 games without pay after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

The 28-year-old was already on the 60-day disabled list after breaking his left (non-throwing) arm in a car accident during spring training. He's the third player to receive a PED suspension in the past two weeks, joining Dee Gordon and Chris Colabello.

No word on how long he'll be sidelined, but he's likely looking at a significant absence. Ravin appeared in nine games out of the Dodgers' bullpen in 2015, posting a 6.75 ERA and 12/4 K/BB ratio over 9 1/3 innings.

Josh Ravin returned to Dodgers camp Thursday after battling a flu and strep throat for over a week.

Ravin told reporters that he lost 17 pounds to the illness. He'll probably take it easy for a bit to regain some basic strength. The right-hander is a longshot for a spot in the Los Angeles bullpen anyway.
