Yankees recalled outfielder Ramon Flores from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Flores is taking over for Slade Heathcott on the Yankees bench, where he should offer a better bat but also a lesser glove. The 23-year-old was batting .294/.389/.425 in Triple-A. Since he's not an option in center, he probably won't get enough playing time to be of use in AL-only leagues.

Overall, the left-handed hitting outfielder is batting .258/.368/.516 with six extra-base hits and a 7/6 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 10 games. Flores is already on the Yankees' 40-man roster, so it's possible he'll get his first taste of the major leagues later this season.
