Twins optioned RHP Ryan Pressly to Triple-A Rochester.
His stay with the big league club only lasted a couple of days this time around, as a roster spot was needed for Adam Wilk to start on Saturday. He should get another chance with the Twins in relatively short order. Jun 17 - 11:55 AM

Twins recalled RHP Ryan Pressly from Triple-A Rochester.

Pressly began the season in a setup role but was demoted following an 8.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 18 innings. He'll be used in low-leverage situations initially.

Twins optioned RHP Ryan Pressly to Triple-A Rochester.

Pressly has struggled mightily this season and holds a rough 8.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 18 innings. The 28-year-old right-hander will try to get himself sorted out in the minors.

Ryan Pressly surrendered a two-run home run to Avisail Garcia in the 10th inning of Sunday's loss to the White Sox.

Pressly was attempting to preserve a 1-1 tie when he entered action to start the 10th inning. He allowed a Leurys Garcia double to open the frame, then recorded two outs before Avisail Garcia cashed in with a two-run home run. The Twins were unable to come up with a run-scoring rally in the bottom of the 10th. Taking the loss, Pressly fell to 0-2 on the season. This weekend series against the White Sox was a tough one for the 28-year-old right-hander, who allowed a total of three runs in his two appearances.

Ryan Pressly gave up four runs without retiring a batter Thursday against the Rays.

Pressley allowed just one run in his first eight innings of the spring, but now he's given up seven runs and walked four batters in his last two appearances. That's not the way he wanted to finish as he tries to establish himself as the No. 2 man in the Minnesota pen.
Mar 30 - 4:26 PM

When asked if Ryan Pressly could push Brandon Kintzler for the closer role, Twins manager Paul Molitor said, "I'm not going there yet."

Pressly has been a steady presence in the Twins' pen, recording a 3.35 ERA over his last three seasons. The hard-throwing right-hander has the look of a late-inning enforcer but for now, Molitor is sticking with Kintzler in the ninth inning. Veteran Glen Perkins could force his way into the closer discussion as the year progresses, but he's still on the mend after undergoing shoulder surgery last season.
Mar 11 - 5:17 PM

Twins and RHP Ryan Pressly avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.175 million contract.

He was eligible for arbitration for the first time this offseason. Pressly holds a 3.55 ERA over the last four years out of the Twins' bullpen.
Jan 13 - 2:44 PM

Ryan Pressly earned his first career save Sunday in the Twins' win over the White Sox.

Brandon Kintzler had worked three days in a row (and blew a save on Saturday) so Pressly got the ninth-inning call in this one. The right-hander gave up a two-out double to Melky Cabrera but whiffed Justin Morneau to end it. Pressly has a 3.67 ERA and 50/19 K/BB ratio in 54 innings this season for Minnesota.

Ryan Pressly pitched well in relief during Sunday's 16-inning, 6-5 loss to the Nationals, striking out four over two scoreless innings.

Twins starter Tyler Duffey was hit by a comebacker to the right shoulder early in the contest and was forced to exit after four-plus innings. It would be up to the bullpen from that point on. After a scoreless inning from Casey Fien, Pressly came on to pitch two run-free innings of his own. He allowed two hits in the process. The 27-year-old right-hander holds a 2.77 ERA and 12/6 K/BB ratio over 13 innings. He doesn't see enough high-leverage work to make for much fantasy help.

Ryan Pressly (lat) won't be limited in spring training.

Pressly missed the entire second half with a strained lat. He resumed throwing in December and has already arrived at the Twins' spring training facility in Fort Myers. "After getting shut down, the main goal was just getting into the offseason healthy," said Pressly. "But the lat is feeling really good, so if I can come back and still be in the upper 90s, that'd be nice." He'll be battling for a job in the Twins' bullpen.

Twins activated RHP Ryan Pressly from the 60-day disabled list.

It's a move to get him back on the 40-man roster. Pressly missed the last few months of the season with a lat issue but should enter spring training without limitations.

Ryan Pressly (lat) has been ruled out for the season after having a setback.

Pressly had been long-tossing as he worked his way back from a strained lat, but he's still not feeling 100 percent and the Twins don't want to push it. He made 27 appearances for the big club this season, posting a 2.93 ERA.

Twins transferred RHP Ryan Pressly from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Tyler Duffey. Pressly not won't be eligible to return from his lat injury until early September.

Pressly has been on the shelf nearly all month with a strained right lat. He's not expected back until at least late August.

Ryan Pressly (lat) isn't expected to resume throwing for another four weeks.

The right-hander was placed on the disabled list earlier this week with a right lat strain. He remains optimistic that he'll be ready to rejoin the Twins bullpen in late August or early September.
