ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Astros have inquired about Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte.
The Braves just acquired Inciarte from the Diamondbacks in the Shelby Miller deal, but it would be no surprise if they moved him again. However, the Astros are a bit of an odd fit, as they already have a crowded outfield with George Springer, Carlos Gomez, Colby Rasmus, Preston Tucker, and Jake Marisnick. Crasnick speculates that pursuing Inciarte could set the stage for a trade involving Gomez. Jan 13 - 11:50 AM

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Braves have received "a steady stream of inquiries" on outfielder Ender Inciarte since acquiring him from the Diamondbacks last week.

Crasnick hears that the Braves envision Inciarte as their starting center fielder and leadoff man, but they are in rebuild mode and are willing to listen. The Cubs are one of the teams who have reportedly expressed interest. Inciarte batted .303/.338/.408 over 132 games this past season and is under team control through 2020.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Cubs are "one of a number of teams" that have inquired on Ender Inciarte.

The Braves just acquired Inciarte from the Diamondbacks, but they're open to flipping him to another club if it makes sense. ESPN's Jayson Stark reported last week that around a dozen teams have inquired about the outfielder's availability. The Cubs would put Inciarte in center field and move Jason Heyward to right, which would be a trade of Jorge Soler. However, as Rosenthal notes, if Chicago makes a trade it is more likely to be for a starting pitcher.

According to ESPN's Jayson Stark, the Braves are open to trading outfielder Ender Inciarte.

Inciarte was part of the big package Atlanta acquired from Arizona in this week's Shelby Miller trade. Stark says a dozen teams have already called the Braves about the 25-year-old, who hit .303/.338/.408 with six home runs, 45 RBI, and 21 stolen bases in 132 games for the Diamondbacks in 2015. Inciarte carries five years of contractual control. It comes as no shock that he's popular.

Braves acquired OF Ender Inciarte, RHP Aaron Blair and SS Dansby Swanson from the Diamondbacks for RHP Shelby Miller and LHP Gabe Speier.

There wasn't necessarily a sense of urgency for the Braves to trade Miller, but you just can't turn down a haul like this one, especially given where the team is right now. Inciarte is an excellent defender and proved useful at the plate this this season by batting .303/.338/.408 with six home runs, 45 RBI, and 21 stolen bases over 132 games. The 25-year-old will likely start in center field over Michael Bourn.

Ender Inciarte (shin) indicated that he's hopeful he'll be able to play before the regular season closes out on Sunday.

Inciarte last played on Monday, but the Diamondbacks have been cautious with him in the preceding days and he won't be playing against the Astros on Friday in what should be a pivotal series that could help decide the second AL Wild Card. He's hopeful to get back on the field before the Snakes close up shop in a few days.

Ender Inciarte (shin) was a late scratch from the Diamondbacks' lineup on Wednesday.

Inciarte is dealing with a bruised shin, and the Diamondbacks have no reason to push the outfielder with only a handful of games remaining. Socrates Brito will replace him in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Ender Inciarte went 4-for-5 with two home runs, three total RBI and a steal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Padres.

Lovely work by Inciarte, who hit a solo home run off Padres starter James Shields in the fifth inning and a two-run shot (also off Shields) in the seventh. He added two singles, just for fun. With the big game, the 24-year-old outfielder is now hitting .304/.338/.406. He's also socked six homers, driven in 45 runs and stolen 21 bases. In his second year, Inciarte has posted across-the-board better numbers than he did in his rookie campaign. He's someone to keep an eye on for 2016, as he could be primed for a big season given his current progression.

The single extended his hitting streak to a modest six games. In addition to his usual stellar defense, Inciarte's done a nice job offensively with a .298/.332/.397 triple-slash, 36 RBI, 58 runs scored and 13 steals.

The 24-year-old has turned in another solid season for the D-Backs, batting .298/.328/.391 with 30 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases while playing plus-defense in the outfield.

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list immediately after the All-Star break.

He has been on the shelf since mid-June with a right hamstring strain. Inciarte had been expected to rejoin the club at some point next week, but they'll give him a few extra days just to be safe. The 24-year-old is hitting .287/.316/.371 with two homers, 21 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season.

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list next weekend.

Inciarte won't be ready to return from his right hamstring strain when his 15 days are up on Wednesday, but it will be just a few days after that. "I think it's probably going to be in the 18-20 days (range) after the injury," Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said.
