Ender Inciarte doubled, singled and tripled in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Padres.
Inciarte finished the game 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored. With just 10 career home runs -- none this season -- it would have been quite the feat if he had actually come up with the cycle. Single, double, triple is nice enough in its own right. The 25-year-old outfielder is slashing a paltry .228/.300/.299 over 127 at-bats this season. He also has just three steals after swiping 40 combined bags over his first two major league campaigns. Jun 8 - 7:12 PM

Ender Inciarte swiped his third base of the season in a losing effort against the Marlins on Sunday.

Inciarte finished the night 1-for-3 plus a walk and also scored a run. He has struggled to get things going offensively since his return from the disabled list, slashing just .239/.323/.273 with no homers and two RBI.
May 29 - 9:41 PM

Ender Inciarte had an RBI double and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Phillies.

Inciarte's run-scoring double in the fourth inning got the scoring started and ended up being all Williams Perez and company would need on the afternoon. He then promptly stole third base, his first steal of the season after being slowed by a hamstring injury since early April. Inciarte stole 21 bases for the Diamondbacks last season and should have the green light with the bottom-dwelling Braves, so if his hamstring is feeling better the stolen base should be the first of many this year for the 25-year-old.
May 21 - 6:07 PM

Ender Inciarte is not in the Braves' lineup Thursday against the Pirates.

Inciarte had a busy night Wednesday and interim manager Gerald Snitker wanted to give him a breather. Jeff Francoeur is handling left field with Mallex Smith in center. Inciarte will be available off the bench.
May 19 - 5:47 PM

Braves activated OF Ender Inciarte from the 15-day disabled list.

He should be back in action as the starting center fielder on Saturday. Inciarte played in just three games for the Braves prior to the injury, going 2-for-8 plus a pair of walks.
May 6 - 11:30 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Saturday.

That is provided everything goes well with his final minor league rehab game with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday. He has been on the shelf since straining his hamstring during the third game of the season.
May 6 - 7:07 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Gwinnett.

And he could be back on the Braves' active roster by the weekend if everything goes smoothly. Inciarte has been on the shelf since April 9 with a hamstring strain. Mallex Smith has been serving as Atlanta's primary center fielder and currently holds a rough .218/.295/.327 slash line over his first 18 major league games.
May 3 - 4:44 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment in the next day or two.

Inciarte, who injured his left hamstring last month, ramped up his running last week and appears ready for game action. If all goes according to plan, he could rejoin the Braves this weekend.
May 2 - 4:34 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) will increase his running in extended spring training games this week.

If all goes well, Inciarte could begin a minor league rehab assignment by the end of the week. Speedy rookie Mallex Smith will continue to cover center field duties.
Apr 25 - 7:16 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) has begun hitting in extended spring training games.

He hasn't been cleared to run the bases yet but at least it's a step in the right direction. Inciarte shouldn't be far away from a rehab stint. Beat writer David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution expects him to return in 10-14 days. Rookie Mallex Smith has been filling in at center field.
Apr 23 - 7:08 PM

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez acknowledged that Ender Inciarte (hamstring) could be out until early May.

Inciarte was placed on the disabled list April 9 with a left hamstring strain, and it's apparently not a minor one. Mallex Smith has been serving as the Braves' starting center fielder and will get a few more weeks to audition for a permanent 25-man roster spot. Smith hasn't really impressed thus far.
Apr 19 - 4:35 PM

Braves placed OF Ender Inciarte on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 9, with a strained left hamstring.

It's unclear at this point how long Inciarte, who suffered the injury on Friday, will be sidelined. Mallex Smith has been recalled to take Inciarte's spot on the roster. Smith should play regularly in center field at least against righties, with Drew Stubbs mixed in some versus lefties.
Apr 10 - 1:22 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) remained out of the Braves' lineup Sunday.

He's sat out two straight days with a strained left hamstring. Drew Stubbs is again handling center field, while Erick Aybar is batting leadoff.
Apr 10 - 10:39 AM

Ender Inciarte felt significant improvement with his left hamstring on Saturday.

Inciarte exited Friday's contest after the hamstring tightness up on him, but the Braves are hopeful he can avoid a trip to the disabled list. "I think we might have dodged a bullet," manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "He felt a lot better today than he did yesterday. There is a strain there, Bubba (head athletic trainer Jeff Porter) said. It’s a small degree of (strain). He’s day to day, and hopefully we can keep him out of action for a day or two and keep him off the DL, if we can get him through the next couple of days." Drew Stubbs started in center field Saturday in Inciarte's place. If the injury winds up requiring a DL stint, the Braves could promote Mallex Smith.
Apr 10 - 8:46 AM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is not in the Braves starting lineup on Saturday.

He's considered day-to-day after leaving Friday's game with a tight hamstring, so it's no real surprise that he's not in there the following day. Erick Aybar will move up to the leadoff spot in his absence while Drew Stubbs draws the start in center field.
