He went yard off starter Joe Musgrove with a runner aboard to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning, although the Astros would pull away to win easily in the end. Inciarte has a good amount of pop though that isn't his focus as a lead-off batter. He has a .305 batting average with seven home runs, 53 runs scored and 34 RBI. He has stolen 11 bases and has been caught five times.

Inciarte, who has his 11-game hitting streak snapped in the series opener on Friday, is working on a new streak heading into the upcoming week. He has raised his average from .284 to .307 over the past month and is a cheap source of occasional steals, too.
Jul 2 - 10:27 PM

Ender Inciarte went 1-for-4 with a double in Thursday's loss to the Padres.

The Braves were hapless with the bats in this one, with Inciarte's double standing as their only extra-base hit of the contest. For the season as a whole, the 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .308/.356/.408 with six homers, 31 RBI and 51 runs scored. His double on Thursday kept alive a hitting streak which is now up to 11 games.

Since the start of the 2014 season Inciarte is hitting .350 (28-for-80) at Petco Park, his highest average of any park in the majors with at least 25 at-bats during the span.

Ender Inciarte had three hits and three RBI as the Braves beat the Mets 9-7 on Tuesday.

Inciarte's .296 OBP in the leadoff spot isn't what the Braves are looking for, but it hasn't stopped him from scoring 19 runs or driving in 15 in 25 games. Five homers helps a bunch there. One imagines he'll get that OBP up further.
