Ender Inciarte (shin) indicated that he's hopeful he'll be able to play before the regular season closes out on Sunday.
Inciarte last played on Monday, but the Diamondbacks have been cautious with him in the preceding days and he won't be playing against the Astros on Friday in what should be a pivotal series that could help decide the second AL Wild Card. He's hopeful to get back on the field before the Snakes close up shop in a few days. Oct 2 - 5:42 PM

Ender Inciarte (shin) was a late scratch from the Diamondbacks' lineup on Wednesday.

Inciarte is dealing with a bruised shin, and the Diamondbacks have no reason to push the outfielder with only a handful of games remaining. Socrates Brito will replace him in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.
Sep 30 - 6:13 PM

Ender Inciarte went 4-for-5 with two home runs, three total RBI and a steal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Padres.

Lovely work by Inciarte, who hit a solo home run off Padres starter James Shields in the fifth inning and a two-run shot (also off Shields) in the seventh. He added two singles, just for fun. With the big game, the 24-year-old outfielder is now hitting .304/.338/.406. He's also socked six homers, driven in 45 runs and stolen 21 bases. In his second year, Inciarte has posted across-the-board better numbers than he did in his rookie campaign. He's someone to keep an eye on for 2016, as he could be primed for a big season given his current progression.
Sep 27 - 7:56 PM

Ender Inciarte went 2-for-3 with a two-run single in Thursday's loss to the Cardinals.

Inciarte hit a two-run single against Carlos Martinez to tie the game at 3-3 in the second inning, though the Diamondbacks would go on to lose 5-3. The single extended his hitting streak to a modest six games. In addition to his usual stellar defense, Inciarte's done a nice job offensively with a .298/.332/.397 triple-slash, 36 RBI, 58 runs scored and 13 steals.

Ender Inciarte provided the Diamondbacks their only run in Sunday's 10-inning, 2-1 loss to the Braves.

Inciarte went 0-for-2 but walked twice and knocked in the Diamondbacks' first run in the eighth inning with a fielder's choice ground out. The 24-year-old has turned in another solid season for the D-Backs, batting .298/.328/.391 with 30 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases while playing plus-defense in the outfield.
Aug 16 - 5:13 PM

Ender Inciarte went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored as the Diamondbacks fell to the Braves on Friday night in Atlanta.

Inciarte also drew a walk in the contest, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances. He has done a terrific job as a table-setter atop the D'Backs lineup this season, slashing .300/.325/.395 with three homers and 29 RBI.
Aug 14 - 10:43 PM

Ender Inciarte had an RBI single and a solo home run in five at-bats Tuesday as the Diamondbacks ousted the Mariners.

Inciarte drilled a solo home run to right field off of Hisashi Iwakuma in the fifth inning, extending the Diamondbacks' lead to 3-1. In the eighth, he hit an RBI single to make it an 8-3 game. Inciarte has been swinging a hot bat since coming off of the disabled list, batting .348 (16-for-46) in 11 games. Overall, he carries a .296/.323/.397 line with three home runs, 26 RBI, 41 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases.
Jul 29 - 1:22 AM

Diamondbacks activated OF Ender Inciarte from the 15-day disabled list.

Inciarte was sidelined for the last month with a right hamstring strain. He'll be an active fourth outfielder for the D'Backs.
Jul 17 - 5:28 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list immediately after the All-Star break.

He has been on the shelf since mid-June with a right hamstring strain. Inciarte had been expected to rejoin the club at some point next week, but they'll give him a few extra days just to be safe. The 24-year-old is hitting .287/.316/.371 with two homers, 21 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season.
Jul 2 - 6:56 PM

Ender Inciarte (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list next weekend.

Inciarte won't be ready to return from his right hamstring strain when his 15 days are up on Wednesday, but it will be just a few days after that. "I think it's probably going to be in the 18-20 days (range) after the injury," Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said.
Jun 28 - 8:44 AM

Diamondbacks placed OF Ender Inciarte on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.

It's not clear at this point how long Inciarte might be sidelined. The Diamondbacks will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game.
Jun 16 - 1:33 AM

Ender Inciarte left Monday's game versus the Angels in the first inning with an apparent right hamstring injury.

Inciarte tweaked the hamstring while running out a groundout. The Diamondbacks should provide more on his status after the game, but he was walking pretty gingerly so a disabled list stint could be in the offing.
Jun 15 - 10:17 PM

Ender Inciarte went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Thursday's win over the Marlins.

Inciarte had RBI singles in the second and sixth innings. He also scored a run and struck out once. These kinds of games are becoming commonplace and are helping to boost his .308/.333/.403 line. With just five walks on the year, though, his value almost solely depends on hits, which is rarely a great sign.
May 21 - 3:32 PM

Ender Inciarte went 3-for-5 with three singles in Friday's loss to the Phillies.

Inciarte was getting on base at the top of the lineup, but the rest of his teammates (or the ones not named Paul Goldschmidt, anyway) weren't able to do much with his presence on base. In 2015, Inciarte is hitting .326/.350/.442. The only real trouble-sign here is that Inciarte has walked just four times this season.
May 15 - 10:22 PM

Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Thursday that Ender Inciarte is going to be in the lineup "most every day now."

"The way he's played, he's forced his way in there," Hale added. The owner of a .405/.450/.568 batting line with six RBI and two stolen bases, Inciarte has settled into the leadoff spot the last two games, with A.J. Pollock moving down to the two-hole. Hale's commitment for the time being to Inciarte hurts David Peralta the most, as Peralta will now be the fourth outfielder rather than share time in left field. It could also mean a couple fewer starts for Pollock on days when Hale uses Inciarte in center.
