Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Rockies Saturday.
Aguilar also smacked an RBI double in the third inning. The first baseman has four RBI in spring after the effort, and he raised his Cactus League average to .409. The 24-year-old has some legit power, and after making his MLB debut last season it should be on display in the majors at some point this year. Mar 21 - 7:16 PM

The 24-year old Aguilar is hitting .291/.385/.486 with Triple-A Columbus, but .188/.300/.188 with Cleveland. Aguilar will likely see more time with the Indians this year, but it may not be until rosters expand in September.

Indians first base prospect Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-4 with a home run for Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

Aguilar is hitting .287/.384/.484 for Columbus, with 18 doubles and 13 home runs. He has the talent to be a slugging first baseman in the major leagues, but is blocked by Nick Swisher and has never put up elite power totals. The 24-year old Aguilar is in danger or receiving the dreaded "AAAA Player" label.

Indians recalled 1B Jesus Aguilar from Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar will likely see regular action at first base while Nick Swisher recovers from a hyperextended left knee. The big 23-year-old has posted promising numbers this year on the farm and is worth a try in AL-only leagues.

Indians optioned 1B Jesus Aguilar to Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar just joined the Indians last week, but he'll head back down to the minors now that Jason Giambi is back from the disabled list. The 23-year-old went 1-for-7 with two RBI in his first taste of the big leagues.

Indians recalled 1B Jesus Aguilar from Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar was off to a scorching start this season at the Triple-A level, batting .298/.395/.519 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 37 games. The big 23-year-old will provide a power bat off the Indians' bench and should start against some right-handers. He's worth grabbing in some AL-only fantasy formats.

Indians prospect first baseman Jesus Aguilar blasted his fifth home run of the season on Monday, and is now hitting .386/.453/.737 through 16 games.

Aguilar is listed at 6'3" and 250 pounds, though he is likely closer to 300 pounds. He has big time power and is a good hitter, but is a poor defender and is blocked in Cleveland by Nick Swisher and Lonnie Chisenhall. If he continues to hit, Swisher could see some time in the outfield, allowing Aguilar to become the right-handed hitting portion of what would be an overly complex platoon.

Aguilar was added to the 40-man roster in November to avoid exposure to the Rule 5 Draft. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, the 23-year-old hit .275/.349/.427 with 16 home runs and 105 RBI over 130 games last season in Double-A. Moncrief, a 25-year-old left-handed hitting outfielder, is coming off a strong season in which he batted .284/.354/.470 with 17 home runs and 15 stolen bases in Double-A. Adams earned his way onto the 40-man roster by posting a 2.62 ERA and 76/29 K/BB ratio over 55 innings last season in Double-A.
