Jesus Aguilar doubled, drew three walks, and scored four runs Monday against the Mariners to continue his red-hot spring.
Claimed off waivers from the Indians back in February, Aguilar is now batting .462 (12-for-26) with three homers and nine RBI this spring. It’s going to be tough to leave him off the Opening Day roster at this rate. Mar 13 - 9:00 PM

Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Padres.

Aguilar burned Paul Clemens for a three-run homer in the fourth inning. That now gives him three homers during spring action. The Brewers claimed him off waivers from the Indians in February. While the 26-year-old has struggled when given previous opportunities at the major league level, he should be able to land on the Brewers' Opening Day roster as a bench option.

Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI in the Brewers' 9-4 Cactus League win over the Rockies on Sunday in Arizona.

Aguilar launched a two-run blast in the seventh inning off Rockies prospect Ryan Castellani and then he added an RBI double in the eighth against James Farris. Milwaukee claimed Aguilar off waivers from the Indians in early February and he should have a spot on the Brewers' bench to open the 2017 season. Aguilar may get some starts at first base against left-handers, depending on how the Eric Thames experiment goes.

Brewers claimed 1B Jesus Aguilar off waivers from the Indians.

Aguilar was designated for assignment last week in order to make room for Richie Shaffer on the 40-man roster. Of course, Shaffer has since been designated for assignment himself. Aguilar has put up some big numbers in the minors, but he has only received sporadic chances at the major league level. He turned 26 last June.
Feb 2 - 4:10 PM

Indians designated 1B Jesus Aguilar for assignment.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for waiver claim Richie Shaffer. Aguilar has put up some big home run totals in the minors, but he's spent nearly all of the last three years at Triple-A without getting a real shot in the majors. Just 26, Aguilar could draw some interest on waivers.

Indians optioned 1B Jesus Aguilar to Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar has put up some big home run totals in the minors, but there's simply no room for him on the major league roster. He should get a shot at some point in 2016.

Indians optioned 1B Jesus Aguilar to Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar posted an impressive .381/.404/.524 slash line with a homer and five RBI in 23 games this spring, but the Indians want the 24-year-old to get regular at-bats on the farm. He should make a contribution at the major league level at some point in 2015.

Jesus Aguilar went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Rockies Saturday.

Aguilar also smacked an RBI double in the third inning. The first baseman has four RBI in spring after the effort, and he raised his Cactus League average to .409. The 24-year-old has some legit power, and after making his MLB debut last season it should be on display in the majors at some point this year.

The 24-year old Aguilar is hitting .291/.385/.486 with Triple-A Columbus, but .188/.300/.188 with Cleveland. Aguilar will likely see more time with the Indians this year, but it may not be until rosters expand in September.
