Royals designated RHP Nick Tepesch for assignment.

Tepesch was claimed off waivers from the A's in July but never did make it up to Kansas City. He holds a 4.68 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 43 career major league appearances.

Royals claimed RHP Nick Tepesch off waivers from the Athletics; optioned him to Triple-A Omaha.

Tepesch is headed to his third organization in less than a month. The Royals moved Kris Medlen to the 60-day DL to make room for Tepesch on the 40-man roster. The 27-year-old has pitched to a 3.96 ERA in 17 minor league starts this year. His only major league appearance came with the Dodgers back in June.
Jul 18 - 2:53 PM

Athletics designated RHP Nick Tepesch for assignment.

The move clears a 40-man roster spot for corner infield prospect Ryon Healy, who is joining the A's on Friday. Tepesch has a 4.68 career ERA in the majors.

Athletics claimed RHP Nick Tepesch off waivers from the Dodgers; optioned him to Triple-A Nashville.

Tepesch was designated for assignment by the Dodgers after struggling in his lone start with the club last Friday. The 27-year-old will function as starting depth in the minors.
Jun 27 - 6:21 PM

Dodgers designated RHP Nick Tepesch for assignment.

Not surprising after Tepesch gave up five runs over four innings on Friday against the Pirates. The recently-acquired Chris Taylor will take his place on the active roster.
Jun 25 - 3:47 PM

Nick Tepesch was tagged for five runs over four innings Friday against the Pirates.

Tepesch gave up four runs in the second inning before allowing a solo homer to Jung Ho Kang in the third. He was just called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City for the start and chances are he’ll head right back down to the minors from here.
Jun 24 - 10:43 PM

Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Nick Tepesch from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Tepesch will take the ball on Friday against the Pirates just a few weeks after catching on with the Dodgers on a minor league deal. He's not guaranteed more than the one start and is a poor bet for fantasy purposes.
Jun 24 - 3:34 PM

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers will call up Nick Tepesch to start Friday night against the Pirates.

Tepesch signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on June 6 after getting released by the Rangers and has registered a cool 2.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 17/3 K/BB ratio over 18 innings (three starts) at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He's not a terrible streaming option against a fading Pirates club, but this probably won't be a long-term stay.
Jun 23 - 12:10 PM

Dodgers signed RHP Nick Tepesch to a minor league contract.

Tepesch was granted his release by the Rangers over the weekend. The 27-year-old owns a 4.56 ERA with 5.4 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 over 39 starts and three relief appearances in the majors. He'll serve as rotation depth at the Triple-A level.
Jun 6 - 5:42 PM

Nick Tepesch struggled against the Brewers Thursday, allowing seven hits, five runs (four earned) and two walks over 2 1/3 innings.

Tepesch held it together for a couple innings but the wheels fell off in the third when he allowed five straight runners to reach base. The right-hander is understandably rusty after missing all of last season with shoulder and elbow issues. Time is not on Tepesch’s side as he only has a couple more chances to make his case for the starting rotation.
Mar 18 - 12:04 AM

Rangers re-signed RHP Nick Tepesch to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Tepesch was non-tendered by the Rangers back in December, but now he's back with the organization. The 27-year-old missed all of last season with elbow issues and underwent surgery in August to correct thoracic outlet syndrome. He has begun throwing off a mound, but his status for the start of 2016 is unclear.
Jan 27 - 3:18 PM

Rangers non-tendered RHP Nick Tepesch.

Tepesch's future is cloudy at the moment. In August, he underwent surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome, which could put his 2016 season in jeopardy. Prior to the procedure, the 27-year-old right-hander held a serviceable 4.36 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 56/44 K/BB ratio over 126 innings. He's in the free agent pool for the time being, though the Rangers have indicated that they'd like to re-sign him on a minor league contract.

Rangers activated RHP Nick Tepesch from the 60-day disabled list.

Tepesch underwent thoracic outlet syndrome surgery in August, and his availability for the 2016 season remains in serious doubt. The 27-year-old posted a 4.36 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 56/44 K/BB ratio across 126 innings for the Rangers in 2015.

Nick Tepesch (arm) is expected to undergo thoracic outlet syndrome surgery.

He'll meet with Rangers physician Dr. Keith Meister once more before a final decision is made, but the expectation is that he'll go under the knife. Thoracic outlet surgery is a tricky procedure that has spelled doom for many careers, but Tepesch has been dealing with nerve issues for a while now and looks to have no other alternative.
