Phillies recalled INF/OF Ty Kelly from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

With Vice Velasquez on the shelf and the Phillies with no real need to find a replacement for him in the rotation for a couple of days, Kelly will join the big league squad to add bench depth. He can continue to be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Ty Kelly delivered a pinch-hit RBI double in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.

Facing Red Sox ace Chris Sale in a scoreless game, Kelly was the unlikely hero, reaching out and pulling a pitch down the left field line to score Andrew Knapp from first. Kelly is hitting .233/.273/.400 while serving mostly as a pinch-hitter for the Phils this season.
