Cameron finished 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Mets.

Rupp hit a two-run double in the eighth inning as the Phillies attempted to erase a six-run deficit. Getting a majority of the starts behind home plate lately, the 26-year-old is riding a nine-game hitting streak. He's batting .254/.313/.402 with six home runs and 19 RBI in 208 plate appearances, emerging as the superior option -- both offensively and defensively -- over veteran Carlos Ruiz.

Cameron Rupp went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run as the Phillies took down the Marlins on Sunday.

Rupp gave the Phillies some late insurance, boosting the Phillies' lead to 2-0 with a solo home run off of Chris Narveson in the seventh inning. The catcher is on a seven-game hitting streak and has homered four times in the month of August. Rupp also looked strong defensively, throwing out two of three would-be base-stealers on Sunday. On the season, he owns a .247/.305/.379 batting line with five home runs and 16 RBI. Rupp is likely looking at increased playing time next season, but his fantasy value will be limited to NL-only leagues.
Aug 23 - 4:03 PM

Cameron Rupp homered in the top of the 12th to lead the Phillies past the Padres 4-3 on Friday.

It was Rupp's third homer, two of which have come in his last three starts. Even with his modest .226 average, he's exceeded expectations offensively this year while sharing time with Carlos Ruiz. That's because he was one of the worst hitters in Triple-A last year, finishing at .165/.257/.299 for Lehigh Valley and then hitting .183/.234/.250 in 60 major league at-bats.

Phillies prospect catcher Cameron Rupp has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with Triple-A Lehigh Valley due to an oblique strain.

Rupp was off to a good start from a power perspective, hitting .231 (6-for-26) with four home runs and eight RBI nine games. Oblique injuries are tricky, so the 25-year-old could have to miss more than the minimum.

Cameron Rupp picked up the first two RBI of his MLB career, leading the Phillies to a 5-4 victory over the Braves on Saturday.

The 25-year-old backstop who is serving as additional catching depth in September, drew a rare start and responded with a 2-for-4 game, including a two-run single off Mike Minor in the first inning. He's unlikely to hold any fantasy value next season.
