Cameron Rupp went 0-for-3 on Thursday, dropping his average to .199.
Rupp was standing tall as one of the Phillies' best hitters a month ago, but he's done little but strike out these last few weeks and has been losing playing time to Andrew Knapp. He's 5-for-53 with one homer, one RBI and 23 strikeouts in his last 16 games. Knapp is probably going to keep getting starts over him until he can get hot again. Jun 22 - 4:02 PM

Cameron Rupp blasted a solo home run on Friday but it wasn't enough to lead his club to victory over the Diamondbacks.

Rupp, who has been mired in an extended slump at the plate, tied the game at 2-2 with his solo shot off of Patrick Corbin in the fifth inning. It was his lone hit in three at-bats on the night. Rupp is still hitting a disappointing .208/.294/.368 with five homers and 14 RBI on the year.
Jun 16 - 10:32 PM

Cameron Rupp slugged a three-run homer in Friday’s 7-2 victory over the Pirates.

Rupp took Tony Watson deep in the top of the ninth to give the Phillies some valuable insurance. The 28-year-old had a very quiet start to the season, but he’s hitting .340 (16-for-47) with three homers and nine RBI over his last 13 games. His OPS now sits at .811 for the year.
May 19 - 10:16 PM

Cameron Rupp went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Nationals.

He accounted for both of his team's runs on the night by lacing an RBI single in the second inning and drilling a solo homer in the seventh. Rupp has a .247 batting average with three home runs, 10 runs and six RBI in 86 plate appearances this season.
May 6 - 11:05 PM

Cameron Rupp went 3-for-6 with a homer Thursday against the Cubs.

The homer came off Carl Edwards Jr., tying the game in the eighth inning. It was just Rupp's second homer of the season. He does have seven doubles, though, and his OPS is up to .785.
May 4 - 6:49 PM

Cameron Rupp went 0-for-3 with a walk on Tuesday versus the Mets.

Rupp cranked his first homer of the season over the weekend, but it's been tough sledding overall for him in the early going with a .143/.250/.286 batting line. We expect him to get it going eventually, at least from a power perspective.
Apr 11 - 11:13 PM

Cameron Rupp is not in the Phillies' lineup Sunday.

It's a routine day off. Andrew Knapp will do the catching.
Apr 9 - 10:33 AM

Cameron Rupp is starting at catcher and batting seventh for the Phillies in Friday's game versus the Nationals.

Rupp, Tommy Joseph and Howie Kendrick had a day off Thursday, but the Phillies are going with their regulars in Friday's home opener. They're going up against reigning National League Cy Young winner Max Scherzer.
Apr 7 - 11:43 AM

Cameron Rupp hit his first homer of the spring Sunday against the Orioles.

Rupp had 16 homers in 389 at-bats last year and hopes to build on that this season. He's eventually due to face some competition in Philly in the form of Jason Alfaro, but that might not happen until 2018.
Mar 5 - 3:46 PM

Cameron Rupp went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly Friday versus the Mets.

Rupp hasn’t been as productive during the second half, but he owns a solid .257/.309/.457 batting line to go along with 16 homers and 54 RBI over 103 games. He’s not even arbitration-eligible yet, so the Phillies have no sense of urgency to deal him this winter, but it’s probably just a matter of time before prospect Jorge Alfaro gets a chance to take over the starting catcher gig.

Cameron Rupp went 2-for-4 and pounded a three-run homer in a loss to the Nationals on Friday.

He went yard off reliever Koda Glover with two aboard to tie the game at four runs apiece in the eighth inning. It was a truly clutch piece of hitting but it went for naught as the Nationals walked off an inning later. Rupp has been a decent option for fantasy owners in a bleak catching landscape this season. He is batting .262 with 15 longballs and 48 RBI in 90 games.

Cameron Rupp is not in the Phillies' lineup Friday.

It's his second straight day off, as Rupp is hitless in his last 15 at-bats. A.J. Ellis is behind the dish.

Cameron Rupp had a three-run homer and an RBI single to propel the Phillies to a 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

The Phillies won despite being outhit 10-6. Rupp had both of the team's extra-base hits in the game, and he has his average all of the way to up to .278 to go along with his 13 homers in 263 at-bats. Thought to be a stopgap as the Phillies waited for Jorge Alfaro to develop, Rupp has made a big argument for a starting job for the long haul.

Cameron Rupp went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and two runs scored as the Phillies downed the Braves 9-5 on Saturday.

Rupp came through with an RBI single in the second inning to get the scoring started. It was a much-needed evening for the 27-year-old, who had just three hits in his previous 25 at-bats coming into the game. Rupp is putting together a good offensive season behind the dish, batting .273/.327/.470 with 10 homers and 30 RBI overall.
