Royals designated LHP Onelki Garcia for assignment.

The move clears a spot for the newly-claimed Mike Morin on the 40-man roster. Garcia was called up in late August and allowed nine runs on 12 hits and five walks over six innings. The 28-year-old could pass through waivers unclaimed.
Sep 12 - 1:34 PM

Onelki Garcia wasn't long for Saturday's game, getting just one out while allowing four runs in a loss to the Twins.

Walk. RBI double. RBI triple. RBI double. Ground out. RBI single. Royals manager Ned Yost had seen enough at that point, yanking Garcia after recording just one out through six batters. He was bad but not as bad in his first start with the Royals, allowing five runs on eight hits over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Indians, and it's hard to imagine the club can't find a better option going forward.
Sep 2 - 11:57 PM

Royals purchased the contract of LHP Onelki Garcia from Triple-A Tacoma.

The 28-year-old southpaw is replacing Danny Duffy on the active roster. It's his first time in the big leagues since the 2013 season. He owns a 4.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 69/33 K/BB ratio over 85 1/3 innings between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha this season.
Aug 26 - 2:59 PM

Royals signed LHP Onelki Garcia to a minor league contract.

Garcia, 27, spent this past season in the Mexican League and hasn't appeared in the majors since 2013. He's merely a depth addition.

White Sox sent LHP Onelki Garcia outright to Triple-A Charlotte.

Garcia had already been optioned to Triple-A last week and has now been removed from the 40-man roster as well. He passed through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as organizational bullpen depth for the White Sox.

White Sox optioned LHP Onelki Garcia to Triple-A Charlotte.

Garcia was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers in November and missed most of the 2014 season following arthroscopic elbow surgery. The 25-year-old will serve as bullpen depth in the minors.

White Sox claimed LHP Onelki Garcia off waivers from the Dodgers.

Garcia missed basically the entire 2014 season after undergoing surgery on his pitching elbow last November. The left-hander should be healthy for the start of the 2015 campaign and will be trying to win a spot in the White Sox bullpen next spring in camp. He has a 3.06 career ERA and 9.9 career K/9 in the minors.

Dodgers activated LHP Onelki Garcia from the 60-day disabled list.

Garcia had arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow last November and didn't pitch at all in the majors this season. If healthy, he's likely to surface in the Dodgers' bullpen at some point in 2015.

Onelki Garcia (elbow) threw a bullpen session on Monday.

Garcia's recovery from last November's arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow hasn't gone well, as he's gone through numerous starts and stops. However, he appears to be back on track at the moment and is hoping to be with the Dodgers next month. "If God permits it, I'll be with the Dodgers in September," Garcia said.

Dodgers placed LHP Onelki Garcia on the 60-day disabled list, retroactive to March 14, with a left elbow injury.

Garcia had arthroscopic surgery on his elbow in November and has been slow to work his way back. He should be an option for the Dodgers' bullpen at some point in the first half.

Onelki Garcia (elbow, knee) remains on a restricted throwing program.

Garcia underwent minor elbow and knee surgeries over the offseason and has been brought along slowly in Dodgers' camp. He seems like a safe bet to begin the year in extended spring training.

Onelki Garcia (elbow) will throw his first bullpen session Sunday.

Garcia has been a bit behind after undergoing a minor procedure on his left elbow this offseason. The southpaw threw just 1 1/3 innings with the Dodgers last year but had a 2.90 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 62 innings between Double-A and Triple-A.

Onelki Garcia (elbow) is currently limited to playing catch.

Garcia is running behind schedule after arthroscopic surgery on his pitching elbow back in November. He should have time to get ready by Opening Day, but the southpaw is likely to begin the year at Triple-A, anyway.

Dodgers prospect left-hander Onelki Garcia underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow on Friday.

Garcia is expected to resume throwing in 5-6 weeks, so he should be fine for spring training. The 24-year-old left-hander posted a 2.90 ERA and 67/35 K/BB ratio over 62 innings at Triple-A Alberquerque this season and should compete for a bullpen spot in 2014.
