Adam Duvall went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.
Duvall was the entire Reds offense (as it were) in the 8-2 loss, cracking a two-run home run off starter Mike Bolsinger in the fourth inning. The 27-year-old has now homered in two of his last three games and boosted his triple-slash to .259/.294/.548 in the process. For the season, he has smacked nine homers and 12 doubles while driving in 19 runs across 135 at-bats. May 25 - 1:26 AM

Adam Duvall went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Mariners.

It was just a solo home run, but what a solo home run it was. Duvall absolutely unloaded on a Wade Miley offering in the fourth inning, launching it an estimated 457 feet to left-center. With a .264/.299/.543 triple-slash and eight homers over 129 at-bats, the 27-year-old outfielder is worth a pickup in deeper mixed leagues, particularly for those who need a little power boost.
May 22 - 5:15 PM

Adam Duvall is out of the Reds' lineup Wednesday.

Tyler Holt will start in left field and bat seventh versus Indians right-hander Mike Clevinger. Duvall has seven home runs and 16 RBI in 34 games this season.
May 18 - 1:37 PM

Adam Duvall socked a solo homer in Monday’s loss to the Indians.

Duvall now has seven home runs on the year, including five this month. The 27-year-old is still striking out a lot, but his pop can help in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
May 16 - 9:40 PM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI doubles in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday.

Duvall laced run-scoring doubles in the seventh and ninth innings to plate two of the Reds' three runs on the evening. He's now got 11 doubles on the year to go with six homers and 13 RBI. The everyday left fielder owns a .267/.315/.554 line on the year.
May 14 - 11:08 PM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored Friday against the Phillies.

Duvall had half of the Reds’ hits on the night. Strikeouts are an issue for the 27-year-old, but he has quietly posted a .258/.308/.536 batting line to go along with six home runs. He’s playing everyday in left field and calls hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park home, so he shouldn’t be ignored in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
May 13 - 10:33 PM

Adam Duvall homered in his third straight game to help the Reds best the Brewers 9-5 on Thursday.

Duvall's two-run bomb in the eighth inning did little to affect the outcome, but it caught our attention after he homered in each of the last two games of the Reds' series against the Giants as well. Unfortunately for Duvall, he's done a lot of his best work with the bases empty, sitting with five homers and just nine RBI on the season. He's got some pop and as the Reds' starting left fielder, he should be owned in all NL-only leagues if he isn't already.
May 5 - 11:47 PM

Adam Duvall belted a solo homer in Tuesday's loss to the Giants.

Duvall burned his former team with a shot off of Jeff Samardzija in the fifth inning. That knotted things up at 1-1 at the time, but the Giants pushed a couple runs across in the eighth. Duvall is hitting just .225/.267/.451 on the season but has slugged three homers.
May 3 - 11:01 PM

Reds manager Bryan Price said Adam Duvall will be the team's primary left fielder going forward.

He opened the season in a platoon with Scott Schebler but has outperformed him by hitting .279 with a .558 slugging percentage in his first 43 at-bats. Duvall has also been a superior defender, grading out as one of the league's top left fielders in both runs saved and ultimate zone rating (UZR). Price still expects Schebler to get plenty of at-bats. Right now he's subbing for center fielder Billy Hamilton, who is out with a bruised thumb.

Reds manager Bryan Price said Sunday that Adam Duvall will start in left field on Opening Day Monday.

The assumption had been that the Reds would go with a Scott Schebler/Duvall platoon in left field, but Duvall is getting the call against right-hander Jeremy Hellickson. This could still wind up being a pretty even timeshare, but Duvall would have some mixed league appeal if he winds up receiving the bulk of the at-bats.
Apr 3 - 10:15 AM

Adam Duvall finished 2-for-5 with four RBI in the Reds' 9-2 Cactus League win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Duvall opened the game's scoring with an RBI single in the top of the fourth inning and then added a three-run homer off Brewers reliever Jim Miller in the top of the ninth. Duvall is expected to open the 2016 regular season on the short side of a left-field platoon with Scott Schebler. That doesn't offer much in the way of fantasy upside, though a Jay Bruce trade could quickly change things.
Mar 29 - 7:17 PM

Adam Duvall went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and three RBI to lead a Reds split-squad past a White Sox split-squad 9-7 on Saturday.

Duvall could be on the bad side of a platoon with Scott Schebler in left field, making him a fringy play in NL-only leagues. Still, his power is tantalizing and an expanded role is just an injury or a Jay Bruce trade away. He's batting .321/.321/.585 with three homers in 53 at-bats this spring.
Mar 27 - 12:45 AM

Adam Duvall had a nice day at the plate Friday, going 3-for-3 with a long two-run homer as part of a 7-6 win over the Brewers.

Duvall made another start at third base on Friday, though he appears to be in good position for at least a share of the left field job. The 27-year-old is batting .333 (12-for-36) with two home runs, one double, one triple, and nine RBI this spring. He’s not likely to hit for a high average, but his power should be useful in NL-only leagues if the at-bats are there.
Mar 18 - 7:21 PM

Adam Duvall tripled in a run and launched a solo home run in Monday's win over the Angels.

The solo blast came off of Matt Shoemaker in the second inning. Duvall has picked up four hits in his first nine Cactus League at-bats as he tries to win the Reds' left field job. Scott Schebler, who is likely his main competitor for the gig, also had a couple hits Monday.
Mar 7 - 7:40 PM

Adam Duvall had a two-run single in Thursday’s 9-1 win over the Indians.

Duvall is one of many names in competition for the left field job this spring, as Scott Schebler, Yorman Rodriguez, Rule 5 pick Jake Cave and prospect Jesse Winker are also in the mix. Duvall isn't likely to hit for average, but he has some intriguing power and Great American Ball Park is a nice backdrop for him. Odds are it will end up as some sort of platoon.
