Fresh off an unexpected All Star appearance, Duvall is now batting .249 with 23 home runs, 49 runs scored and 63 RBI. He strikes out a lot and has a mere .288 on-base percentage, but the power is here to stay.

It was a solo shot against Kyle Hendricks in the fourth inning. Duvall finished the afternoon 2-for-3 with a rare walk. He’s hitting .254 with a .291 on-base percentage, but the power has made him one of the biggest surprises in fantasy leagues during the first half of the season.
Jun 29 - 4:11 PM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Padres on Thursday.

Duvall smacked a Christian Friedrich pitch to right field for the two-run shot, his 21st homer of the year to lead the National League. He's also fifth in the league in runs batted in, as he now has 51 RBI in 68 games. Duvall is slugging .600 and should be making the first All-Star appearance of his career in a couple weeks.
Jun 23 - 11:59 PM

Adam Duvall hit a game-tying, two-run home run in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the Astros.

Duvall showed a flair for the dramatic, as the team was down to its last strike before he lifted the two-run shot off Astros reliever Ken Giles. Duvall is your National League home run leader with a few weeks before the All-Star break, as the 28-year-old now has 20 bombs and 48 RBI on the year. Just like everyone anticipated in spring.
Jun 18 - 8:17 PM

Adam Duvall slammed his 19th home run of the season Thursday in a loss to the Braves.

The 412-foot solo shot was his only hit of the afternoon. It took Duvall a while to make his mark—he turns 28 in September—but he's arrived in style this year with 46 RBI and a monster .597 slugging percentage. Duvall's all-or-nothing approach can yield high strikeout numbers (65 Ks in 216 at-bats) but fantasy owners can live with that if the home runs keep coming.
Jun 16 - 7:47 PM

Adam Duvall is not in Tuesday's lineup versus the Braves.

The slugger will get the day off with right-hander Julio Teheran on the mound for Atlanta. Kyle Waldrop will make his first start in left field.

Adam Duvall clubbed a two-run homer and drove in three runs in Monday's victory over the Braves.

Duvall followed a Jay Bruce RBI triple in the first inning with a deep blast to left field. The 27-year-old has been an all-or-nothing slugger this season, as he's sporting a .286 on-base percentage and 64/7 K/BB ratio to go along with his 18 dingers. The home run total puts him second in the National League behind Nolan Arenado.
Jun 13 - 11:09 PM

Adam Duvall came through with a game-tying RBI double against Oakland and finished the day 1-for-3 on Friday.

Later in the inning he came around to score the go-ahead run on a Sonny Gray wild pitch. Duvall has seized the everyday left field job in Cincinnati on the strength of a strong .269/.300/.604 batting line. He rarely walks and he strikes out a ton, but he hits the ball hard. He ranks second in the National League with 17 home runs and ranks in the top ten with his 41 RBI. Given Duvall's high strikeout rate we should expect his batting average to fall some but his power is here to stay. He hit 30+ home runs in three of the last four years in the minors and should easily reach that mark this year in the majors.

Jun 4 - 8:29 PM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two run scored in Friday’s win over the Nationals.

Yes, another homer for Duvall. He now has six in his last nine games and now finds himself tied for second in the National League with 15 overall. The 27-year-old strikes out a bunch and hasn’t shown much in the way of patience, but the power has never been in question. It took a trade from San Francisco to Cincinnati, but he’s finally getting a chance to show it in the majors.
Jun 3 - 10:35 PM

Adam Duvall had his first career two-homer day in Monday's win over the Rockies.

There were seven home runs hit on the day, which is no surprise in a matchup of two mediocre starters at Coors Field. Both of Duvall's longballs went to the opposite field, as he took Chad Bettis deep with a two-run shot in the fourth and then added a solo blast off of Jake McGee in the ninth. Duvall has now homered 11 times this month and 13 times on the season, emerging as a legitimate power bat for the Reds.
