Adam Duvall cranked a grand slam to spearhead a 7-0 win over the Royals on Wednesday.
He unloaded on a Jason Adam pitch in the ninth inning to turn a close game into a rout. The bomb was his 11th of the season and gave him 38 RBI as well. Unfortunately he has been a total dud in the batting average department with his .188 mark. There is good reason to hope his batting average will improve given he has been plagued by an extremely unlucky .209 BABIP that is bound to revert closer to his .270 career rate moving forward. Adam Duvall is not in the Reds' lineup Friday.

It's Duvall's turn to sit in the Reds' four-man outfield carousel. Jesse Winker and Scott Schebler are flanking Billy Hamilton.

Adam Duvall slugged a grand slam Wednesday in the Reds’ win over the D’Backs.

He went yard off Patrick Corbin, tying the game at four in the fourth inning. That was the Reds’ third grand slam of the year and the second of Duvall’s career. He went hitless in his other plate appearances, though he did reach base in the eighth on an error by Jake Lamb at third base. Duvall also had a good game defensively, robbing Lamb with a sliding catch in the ninth. The 29-year-old boasts strong power numbers—19 of his 32 hits this year have gone for extra bases—though it’s difficult to trust him in fantasy when he’s hitting just .181 with 54 strikeouts in 177 at-bats.

Adam Duvall drew three walks Saturday's loss to the Cubs in the second game of a doubleheader.

In of the finer quirks in the incredibly quirky game that is baseball, Duvall failed to log an at-bat in the contest due to his walking every time he stepped to the plate. That fun aside, the slugger's batting just .193/.298/.438 with nine home runs and 24 RBI in 45 games this season.

Adam Duvall slugged a solo homer in Friday’s loss to the Cubs.

His fifth-inning blast off Jon Lester was the only offense the Reds could muster on this night. Part of the Reds’ outfield rotation, Duvall has now homered in three out of his last four games. Still, he hasn’t been able to get his batting average over the .200 mark. He’s now at .194 for the year.
May 19 - 1:48 AM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a homer in a 6-3 victory over the Giants on Wednesday.

Duvall's homer came in the top of the first off of Andrew Suarez, and it's the eighth of the season for the Cincinnati slugger. The outfielder still holds an ugly .191 average on the 2018 campaign, but the power is starting to compensate, and he's homered in back-to-back games.
May 16 - 6:34 PM

Adam Duvall came off the bench to go 2-for-2 with a homer and three runs batted in during a loss to the Giants on Monday.

Duvall replaced Joey Votto (back), and hit his seventh homer of the season in the top of the ninth off of Jose Valdez with two runners on. If Votto does go on the disabled list with the injury, Duvall could earn a few more starts at first base. He's still just hitting .188 on the season, but we've seen Duvall put up big power numbers in the past, and he could have another 30-plus homer year if he gets enough playing time to do so.
May 15 - 1:47 AM

Adam Duvall hit a pinch-hit walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning Wednesday as the Reds beat the Mets 2-1.

Duvall was the first batter to step to the plate in the bottom of the 10th and he crushed the fourth pitch thrown by A.J. Ramos to secure a victory for the Reds in the matinee game at Great American Ball Park. The 29-year-old outfielder is batting just .176/.261/.395 in 36 games this season, but he does have six home runs and 17 RBI.
May 9 - 3:12 PM

Adam Duvall went back-to-back with teammate Eugenio Suarez in the first inning on Friday as the Reds topped the Marlins.

The Reds jumped on Wei-Yin Chen in the first inning of this one, as Eugenio Suarez clubbed a three-run homer and Duvall followed with his solo shot. That would be it for their offense in the ballgame though. Duvall has really struggled at the plate this season, hitting just .167/.248/.380 with five homers and 16 RBI.
May 4 - 10:25 PM

Adam Duvall homered, stole a base and drove in two runs in the Reds' 8-2 win over the Twins on Sunday.

Duvall piled on with a solo shot in the seventh inning, his fourth homer of the year. The steal was more rare, as he's pilfered just two in 27 games this year. Hits have been scarce as well for the 29-year-old, as he's batting a pedestrian .177/.259/.385 overall.
Apr 29 - 7:21 PM

Adam Duvall went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles versus the Brewers on Monday.

Duvall was hitting just .160 in 50 at-bats coming into this one. He's at risk of losing playing time after Scott Schebler returns this week, so it's imperative that he produce.
Apr 16 - 11:00 PM

Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Duvall took Cardinals de facto closer Bud Norris deep to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning, pulling the Reds to within one run. It was as close as they'd get. It's been a lot of feast or famine for the 29-year-old this year, even more than usual -- he's got three homers in 15 games, but also has 16 strikeouts and is hitting just .160/.218/.380 overall.
Apr 15 - 6:36 PM

Adam Duvall went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts on Tuesday, dropping his average to .111.

Duvall is fortunate that Scott Schebler got hurt or he'd be in line to lose considerable playing time against right-handers. He definitely needs to heat up before Schebler returns if he's going to stay in the lineup.
Apr 10 - 10:11 PM

Adam Duvall hit his second home run of the year in a loss to the Pirates on Thursday.

Duvall yanked a George Kontos offering over the boards in left field for a solo homer in the eighth inning. It was his only hit in four at-bats on the evening. The homer was his second in five games played, and all three of his hits have gone for extra bases. The flipside of that is, he only has three hits in 17 at-bats. With a four-man outfield rotation in full effect, it's hard to get too excited -- or too fully trust -- about any Reds outfielder at the moment.
Apr 5 - 10:08 PM

Adam Duvall launched his third home run of the spring as the Reds fell to the Rangers on Monday night in Arlington.

Duvall's solo shot came off of Matt Bush in the sixth inning, pulling the Reds to within a run at 6-5, but that would be the extent of the scoring in the ballgame. Duvall finished the night 1-for-2 plus a walk and is hitting .271 with four homers and 12 RBI on the spring.
