Giants prospect Adam Duvall blasted five hits Sunday for Triple-A Sacramento.
He hit for the first cycle in River Cats' history. Duvall is quickly outgrowing Triple-A. The 26-year-old ranks second in the Pacific League in both RBI (14) and batting average (.457). Duvall hit .192 in 28 games for the Giants in 2014 and should get another chance with the big club this year. He's listed as San Francisco's 19th-best prospect on MLB.com. Apr 20 - 2:22 PM

Date:

Giants prospect Adam Duvall has dominated the Pacific League this season, hitting .478 through his first six games.

It's more of the same for Duvall, who hit .298 with 27 HR and 90 RBI for Triple-A Fresno last season. He's ready to play in the big leagues but Brandon Belt is blocking his path at first base. Through frustrating, having Duvall see everyday at bats in Triple-A is better than having him waste away on San Francisco's bench.

Giants optioned 1B Adam Duvall to Triple-A Sacramento.

Duvall batted just .170/.220/.277 this spring. He doesn't have anything left to prove in the minors, but the Giants just don't have a spot for him.
Mar 29 - 1:03 PM

Adam Duvall singled and launched a solo homer in Tuesday's Cactus League loss to the Athletics.

The longball came in the second innings off of left-hander Rudy Owens. Duvall, 26, didn't do much in his limited time with the Giants last season, but he's consistently displayed big power in the minors. He's hoping to earn an Opening Day bench spot.
Mar 3 - 6:41 PM

Adam Duvall clubbed his third home run of the season in Sunday's victory over the Padres.

Duvall appeared as a pinch-hitter in the ballgame and victimized Tim Stauffer in the fourth inning with a towering drive to left field. He has hit just .192/.234/.342 with five RBI in his limited time this season and is unlikely to be included on the Giants postseason roster.

Giants recalled 1B Adam Duvall from Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall has hit just .180/.231/.311 across 21 games at the big league level this season. He could see regular playing time at first base depending on the severity of Michael Morse's hip injury.

Giants recalled 1B Adam Duvall from Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall was optioned late last month after hitting .200/.220/.375 with a couple homers over 41 plate appearances. With Brandon Belt (concussion) back on the DL, he should see ample playing time at first base.

Giants optioned 1B Adam Duvall to Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall hit a two-run homer off Cliff Lee in his first game following his recall from Triple-A, but struggled after that. He was removed from the 25-man roster on Tuesday to open up a spot for Travis Ishikawa.

In his first game since his recall, Adam Duvall went 2-for-5 and hit a two-run homer off Cliff Lee in the Giants' 7-4 victory over the Phillies on Monday.

Duvall mostly say behind Mike Morse in his first stint with the Giants last month, but now it looks like he'll be the primary first baseman until Brandon Belt returns from a concussion. Exactly how long that'll be is something we should have a better idea about in a few days, but he'll have some fantasy value until it happens.

Giants recalled 1B Adam Duvall from Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall didn't do much in his first stint with the big-league club back in June, but the 25-year-old has registered a stellar .303/.361/.626 batting line with 26 home runs and 79 RBI in 78 games this season at the Triple-A level. He should get a good amount of playing time at first base while Brandon Belt recovers from a concussion and is worth a try in deeper mixed leagues.

Giants optioned INF Adam Duvall to Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall hit a home run during his brief stay, but he had just three base knocks in 18 at-bats overall and made a crucial error on Thursday. The Giants will activate Brandon Belt (thumb) from the DL prior to Friday's game to take Duvall's spot on the roster.

Giants recalled INF Adam Duvall from Triple-A Fresno.

Duvall is having a monster year at Fresno, sporting a .297/.360/.620 batting line with 23 homers and 67 RBI over 67 games. The 25-year-old will be making his major league debut when he gets into a game. He could see a few starts at first base while Angel Pagan (back) is out, pushing Mike Morse to left field.

Giants third base prospect Adam Duvall went 1-for-5 with his 21st home run of the season on Sunday.

Duvall seems to be stuck in Triple-A, hitting a spectacular .294/.358/.628. Duvall has six home runs in June, and is only three behind the minor league lead of 21. He is blocked in San Francisco, but could be an option if there is an injury at either corner infield position.

Giants prospect third baseman Adam Duvall went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk for Triple-A Fresno on Saturday, raising his season line to .299/.368/.647.

Duvall is leading the Triple-A Pacific Coast League in home runs with 19, but is stuck in Fresno with the suddenly-hot Pablo Sandoval entrenched at third base and Mike Morse taking the bulk of the playing time at first base. The 25-year old Duvall has progressed slowly through the Giants organization since being drafted in the 11th round in 2010 out of Louisville.
