Pirates acquired INF Chris Bostick from the Nationals for C Taylor Gushue and cash considerations.

Bostick batted .250/.313/.386 with eight home runs and 11 stolen bases in 539 plate appearances this season between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse. The 23-year-old infielder has yet to appear in a major league game and it doesn't sound like that will change in the final week of the 2016 campaign.

National purchased the contract of 2B Chris Bostick from Double-A Harrisburg.

Bostick batted .258/.312/.398 with 12 homers and 31 steals in the minors in 2015. Acquired from the Rangers last winter in exchange for Ross Detwiler, the 22-year-old will likely open the season at Double-A.

Nationals prospect 2B Chris Bostick has been promoted to Double-A Harrisburg from High-A Potomac.

Bostick is moving up to Harrisburg after batting .274/.344/.393 with 17 extra-base hits (four home runs), 18 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 62 games for Potomac. The 22-year-old second baseman was acquired during the offseason from the Rangers, who acquired him from the A’s prior to the 2014 season. Bostick, a 44th-round draft pick back in 2011, owns a .270/.341/.422 career batting line to go along with 33 home runs, 88 doubles, 24 triples and 80 steals in 405 games over five seasons.

Bostick, 21, was acquired from the A's in the Craig Gentry/Josh Lindblom deal and batted .251/.322/.412 with 11 home runs and 62 RBI over 130 games this past season in High-A.

Scott Boeck of USA Today reports that the Nationals will acquire infielder Chris Bostick and right-hander Abel de los Santos from the Rangers in the Ross Detwiler deal.

No official announcement yet from the team. Bostick, 21, was acquired from the A's in the Craig Gentry/Josh Lindblom deal and batted .251/.322/.412 with 11 home runs and 62 RBI over 130 games this past season in High-A. De Los Santos, a 22-year-old reliever, had an impressive 1.92 ERA and 65/18 K/BB ratio over 56 1/3 innings between Class A and High-A this past season.

Rangers prospect 2B Chris Bostick was 3-for-4 with a home run, stolen base and two RBI Thursday for High-A Myrtle Beach.

Bostick, who was acquired from the A's during the offseason, got off to a dreadful start this season at Myrtle Beach, batting just .149 through his first 12 games. Since then, the 21-year-old has been one of the hottest hitters in the minor leagues, with a .415/.457/.756 batting line, eight extra-base hits and 12 RBI in his last 10 games, including six multi-hit performances. In his full-season debut last year, Bostick posted an .806 OPS with 25 doubles, 14 home runs, 89 RBI and 25 stolen bases in 129 games for Low-A Beloit.

Rangers acquired INF Chris Bostick and OF Michael Choice from the Athletics for OF Craig Gentry and RHP Josh Lindblom.

Bostick, a 44th round pick in 2011, is coming off a breakout season in which he batted .282/.354/.452 with 14 home runs and 89 RBI over 129 games with Class A Beloit. The second base prospect turns 21 in March.
