Blue Jays recalled RHP Brian Wolfe from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Wolfe had a brief stint with the big club earlier this season, allowing seven runs, including three homers, in 8 1/3 innings of work. While he thrives on his control, the 28-year-old right-hander will likely never strike out enough batters to stick on the major league level.

Wolfe spent exactly one month in the majors, and surrendered seven earned runs in 8 1/3 innings. He still showed fine control, but was simply far too hittable.

Blue Jays recalled RHP Brian Wolfe from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Wolfe, 28, is a control artist who has excelled in his trials with Toronto, pitching to a 2.81 ERA in 67 1/3 innings. Only his relatively low K-rates make him a less-than-ideal candidate for big league success.

Brian Wolfe threw on flat ground Monday, his first throwing session since injuring his right shoulder last Tuesday.

Wolfe had some soreness after the session, but nothing that caused any additional concern. There's still no word on when he might be ready to return to the mound.

An MRI taken on Brian Wolfe's shoulder on Wednesday revealed no structural damage.

Considering that he heard a pop in his shoulder on Tuesday, this qualifies as positive news. However, Wolfe is still dealing with inflammation in the shoulder and there's currently no word on when he'll return to action.

Brian Wolfe pulled himself from Tuesday's game after coming down with pain in his right throwing shoulder.

Wolfe allowed five runs in the fifth inning while pitching through tightness, and he shut it down only after he heard a pop in his shoulder. Wolfe was a candidate for one of the three open spots in the Blue Jays bullpen, but this injury sounds like it could be severe.
