Blanco missed the final three weeks of the 2015 season and he also spent some time on the concussion disabled list in June. But these should be non-issues by the beginning of spring training next February. Blanco, always a strong defender in the outfield, posted a surprising .291/.368/.413 slash line in 2015. He is under contract with the Giants for $3.9 million in 2016. Thu, Nov 5, 2015 09:11:00 AM

The veteran outfielder indicated that while he feels fine every morning, he still gets nauseous when performing baseball activities. While he wants to finish the season on a high note, the Giants will take every possible precaution and not rush him back into the lineup.

Gregor Blanco went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Marlins.

Blanco launched a solo dinger off of Marlins starter Jose Fernandez in the fifth inning. He's now working on a nine-game hitting streak. When the streak started, he was slashing .274/.345/.411. He's worked those numbers up to a far more robust line of .318/.384/.452. Blanco has never held a season-slugging mark higher than .374 in his career, so we're somewhat doubtful that this is more than a hot streak, but if he's floating on the wire in deeper leagues, there's no better time to take advantage of his bat, as this might be as good as it gets for the outfielder.
