Said Hornaday:"After testing at Rockingham earlier this year, I think our NTS Motorsports team is more prepared for how the trucks will react to the racetrack. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series four-time champion, Ron Hornaday Jr., will climb back into the No. 9 NO FEAR Chevrolet Silverado.

The NTS Motorsports team built a brand new truck over the break for the past champion to bring to Martinsville. Said Hornaday:"Every morning I hear my grandfather clock chime and it makes me hungry to get back racing to get another one. The first one came from a cool race where I passed Kevin (Harvick) and then battled Kyle (Busch) for the win. It’s time to get another one of those clocks especially for this NTS Motorsports team and Joe Denette."-NTS Motorsports

Starting fourth, his best start since Dover (2012), Ron Hornaday remained in the top-five for most of the 100-lap event, never falling out of the top-10 on the score board.

With a mix of strategy in the pits and patience on the track, Hornaday, scored third on the final restart with five laps to go, was poised to be a contender for his 52nd career NCWTS win at the end of the 250-mile event. On the final lap, an accident involving four trucks on the frontstretch froze the field. Hornaday would go on to take the checkered flag from the third position under caution, his best finish since Iowa Speedway.-NTS Motorsports

Ron Hornaday runs quickest Daytona qualifying lap of the Camping World Truck Series go-or-go-homer drivers.

Of the drivers required to make the field on speed, his lap of 176.713 mph in the No. 9 truck was the fastest. His qualifying speed puts him fourth in the lineup for the NextEra Energy Resources 250.

In nine Daytona starts in NCWTS competition, Hornaday has a best finish of fifth (2009) including one top-five and two top-10 finishes with 18 laps led. Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff will serve as the primary sponsor on Hornaday's No. 9 machine for 12 events throughout the 2013 NCWTS season as well as share associate sponsorship for the remaining 10 series events. Joe Denette Motorsports is pleased to announce a merger with NTS Motorsports to create a three-truck "powerhouse" for the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

The team will field three full-time NCWTS entries under the NTS Motorsports banner with Ron Hornaday back behind the wheel of the #9 Chevrolet Silverado and Brennan Newberry continuing in the #14 Chevrolet Silverado. Ron Hornaday competed in the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event at Martinsville Speedway on September 25, 1995.

Hornaday has raced at 45 different tracks in the NCWTS. Of those tracks, the 54-year-old Truck Series veteran has made the most starts at Martinsville Speedway logging 20 starts and 4413 laps (2,321.2 miles). The last time Hornaday teamed up with ARMOUR Foods, the four-time champion went to victory lane at Atlanta Motor Speedway (2011). Hornaday hopes to keep that tradition alive at Martinsville Speedway this weekend and earn his first win of 2012 with Joe Denette Motorsports.

Ron Hornaday Jr. enters this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Smith's 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as the defending race winner.

A trip to Sin City with the NCWTS is no gamble for Hornaday as he has found no shortage of success at LVMS. In 11 starts at the 1.5-mile track, Hornaday has posted two poles and led 259 laps en route to six top-five and eight top-10 finishes, including one win at the track in 2011. The series all-time race winner has an average start of 8.5 coupled with an average finish of 7.4 and has completed 99.9 percent of laps attempted (1714 of 1715).

Ron Hornaday Jr. has a stacked resume in the NCWTS at Kentucky Speedway.

In nine starts at the 1.5-mile track, Hornaday has earned one pole and led 141 laps en route to three wins (2006, 2009 and 2011) and six top-10 finishes. The series all-time race winner has an average start of 9.7 coupled with an average finish of 11.3 and has completed 94 percent of laps attempted (1272 of 1353). In 2011, Hornaday started second and led 42 laps to en route to victory lane.

Ron Hornaday Jr. leads the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice session at Dover International Speedway.

He ran a quick lap of 151.764 mph in the No. 9 truck. No. 3 Ty Dillon, No. 22 Joey Coulter, No. 18 Brian Scott and No. 2 Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five of the 32 trucks practicing for the Lucas Oil 200. Jennifer Jo Cobb, in the No. 10 truck, was the slowest.

In seven NCWTS starts at Dover, Ron Hornaday Jr. has one pole, one win, three top-five and five top-10 finishes.

The four-time series champion has led 275 laps with an average start of 6.1 and an average finish of 8.9 and has completed 88.8 percent of laps attempted (1247 of 1404). In 2011, Hornaday started fourth and finished ninth. Hornaday will pilot chassis No. 06 at Dover, the same chassis that he piloted to a sixth-place finish at Kansas Speedway in April and a fifth-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
