The team is outside the top 35 in owners points and not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s Cup race. The No. 36 driver’s qualifying speed was 42nd fastest, which was not good enough to make the cut for the event.

Brian Simo lost an engine in the middle of his qualifying run and will not make the field for the June 21st Sprint Cup Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.

Simo was attempting to get the No. 36 Tommy Baldwin Racing Toyota into the race. He was listed as the 47th qualifier (the last). Since the team is outside the top 35 in owners points and required to qualify on speed, he did not make the cut.

Brian Simo secures the last qualifying slot open to teams outside of the top 35 in owners points for the Infineon Raceway Sprint Cup race.

Simo’s lap of 90.135 mph in the #34 No Fear Ford was 40th quickest in qualifying for the Toyota / Save Mart 350. This is the road course expert’s first Cup start since Watkins Glen in 2006. He’ll line up 43rd in Sunday’s event.(Rotoworld.com)

Road course expert, Brian Simo, is on the preliminary entry list for the August 12th Centurion Boats at the Glen race at Watkins Glen International.

Simo will pilot the Front Row Racing #37 Dodge. This will be his 6th Cup road course start, 3rd at Watkins Glen, with a best finish of 10th in the 2005 race at Sonoma.

Crew chief for Brian Simo was fined for a rule violation during the August 12th Busch Series race at Watkins Glen International.

Dave Fuge Jr., crew chief for the #34 No Fear Chevrolet, was fined $2,000 for "permitting individuals without a proper NASCAR license into the car servicing area" and "entering the car servicing area without the proper safety equipment".

Brian Simo is on the entry lists for the August 12-13 Watkins Glen International Busch and Cup races.

Simo, a sports car and road racer, will drive Front Row Motorsports' #34 Chevrolet in Sunday's road course event. If he makes the field, it will be his fifth Cup start, second at WGI. He's attempting the Busch race on Saturday in Frank Cicci's #34 No Fear Chevrolet. He had one Busch start at The Glen as well.

Brian Simo is on the entry list for the June 25th Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.

Simo, a sports car and road racer, will drive Front Row Motorsports' #61 Chevrolet in Sunday's road course event. It will be his fifth Cup start, fourth at Sonoma. He finished 10th here last year in a Richard Childress Racing entry.

Richard Childress Racing is fielding an entry for sports car and road racer, Brian Simo, for the June 26th Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.

He'll drive the #33 RCR car as teammate to the #07, #29 and #31 Chevrolets. Simo, a native of Carlsbad, CA has two previous Cup starts at the Sonoma track.
