For a third consecutive week, Elliott Sadler (No. 1 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Camaro) leads the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) championship points standings. Sadler is currently 11 points ahead of teammate William Byron.

In 12 starts at Auto Club Speedway, he has four top-five and eight top-10 finishes, with one pole award. Last season at Fontana, Sadler claimed a fifth-place finish. His average of 129.445 mph was best of the seven cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. After earning a second consecutive top-10 finish at Las Vegas, Elliott Sadler (No. 1 OneMainFinancial Chevrolet Camaro) continues to lead the NASCAR XFINITY Series championship standings.

In 16 starts at Phoenix International Raceway, Sadler has one win, four top-five and eight top-10 finishes. Sadler’s solo win at Phoenix came in March 2012 after starting from the eighth position—he led 26 laps. Elliott Sadler (No. 1 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Camaro) was credited with a 24th place DNF in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

He started 11th on the grid, led the most laps (40) and completed 106 laps of the 124 laps run before exiting the race (Accident). Sadler, who finished runner-up in the 2016 NXS Championship, is currently third in the 2017 standings, 14 points behind leader Ryan Reed after this event.

Elliott Sadler posted the second fastest time in qualification for the Daytona 500 among non-chartered entrants and knows he will race next Sunday.

Sadler and Brendan Gaughan locked their cars in based on time, but their starting position will be determined by the qualification races. Sadler is running for Tommy Baldwin Racing in a part time role and a good run in the 500 might open possibilities to run more later in the year.

Elliott Sadler will make his first start at Daytona International Speedway since the 2012 Daytona 500; he finished 27th with crash damage in that event.

Sadler will be driving for Tommy Baldwin Racing in a one-off entry. Not only did Sadler crash out of that race, he experienced crash damage in both 2010 efforts, which accounts for his last three starts.

JR Motorsports and Pinnacle Foods’ Armour brand, a JRM partner since 2014, have agreed to a multi-year partnership extension.

Armour will have primary branding in four races with Elliott Sadler and the No. 1 team in each of the next two NASCAR XFINITY Series seasons. In addition to primary races with Sadler and the No. 1 team at Bristol (Apr 22), Charlotte (May 27), Daytona (Jun 30) and Darlington (Sep 2), Kasey Kahne will carry Armour colors with the No. 88 entry at Talladega (May 6) in 2017. The brand will also receive associate placement on William Byron’s No. 9 entry and JRM team cars in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.-JRM

Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) announced today that the team will compete in the 59th running of the Daytona 500 with Elliott Sadler behind the wheel of the No.7 Golden Corral Chevrolet.

Sadler, a 16-year veteran of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, will be running double-duty during NASCAR's opening weekend competing in both the Cup and XFINITY Series. The Emporia, VA native and Baldwin have a relationship dating back to their days at Robert Yates Racing when Baldwin served as crew chief for Sadler. Golden Corral returns for their seventh season together and will bring back their popular 'Top 10 Kids Eat Free' promotion. If Elliott Sadler finishes in the top-10 at Daytona, kids 10 and under will eat free at Golden Corral restaurants nationwide on Monday, February 27th.-140 BUZZ
