JJ Yeley will most likely finish in the mid-30s this week, if his other attempts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks are an indication. He blew an engine at Texas Motor Speedway, but finished 34th-37th in his other three attempts. Yeley’s best result came at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Yeley qualified a BK Racing machine at Charlotte Motor Speedway last fall and finished 38th. He will only be a good value if he fits a very specific niche on a fantasy player’s roster. May 21 - 12:38 PM

J.J. Yeley was credited with a 34th place DNF in Sunday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota 26th on the grid for the 3M 250. Yeley was involved in a couple of incidents on track between his No. 28 and Brennan Poole's No. 42 Camaro. On lap 151 of the 259 lap event, Poole spun out Yeley resulting in the No. 28 wrecked and Poole 'PARKED' for aggressive driving. Yeley is currently 13th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings.

JJ Yeley’s last five races on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks before the Duck Commander 500 ended in consistent results that were mostly in the mid-30s. A blown engine at Texas Motor Speedway dropped him to 43rd. Yeley completed only 13 laps in that race.

These results are not enough to make him a must-have, but he earned positive place differential points for finishing better than he started in four of the five races in which he was running at the end.

J.J. Yeley delivered his second year JGL Racing team their best ever NASCAR XFINITY Series finish with a gutsy performance at Talladega Superspeedway.

He steered his No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota to a fourth place finish in the running of the Winn-Dixie 300. The fourth place finish moved Yeley up one spot to 13th in the overall NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers' standings - 35 points out of the Top-10.-Integrity Sports Marketing

If JJ Yeley finishes in the 30s this week, he would need to treat that as a minor triumph. His last two plate races ended in a 42nd at Talladega SuperSpeedway last fall and a 40th at Daytona International Speedway this spring.

Both of those attempts came behind the wheel of a BK Racing machine, but both were also marred by incidents. Yeley has the talent to finish much better, but the question remains of whether he has the luck.
Apr 28 - 5:49 PM

J.J. Yeley finished 19th in Friday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond (VA) International Raceway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota 32nd on the grid for the ToyotaCare 250. He completed 248 laps of the 250 lap race. He moved up two spots to 14th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings after this event.
Apr 26 - 11:48 PM

JJ Yeley has shown slight improvement since moving into the No. 23 at the start of this season. His best result of the year was a 26th at Martinsville with an average of 34.8. In the No. 83 last year, his best result was a 29th at Kansas with an average of 35.4.

In order to be fantasy relevant, Yeley needs to either improve his average finish significantly or contribute some other way—such as earning positive place differential points. So far in 2015, he has advanced in half his starts and fallen back half the time.
Apr 23 - 10:55 AM

J.J. Yeley will be making his 15th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the Richmond International Raceway to go along with his 11 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the track.

Yeley has six Top-20 finishes in XFINITY Series competition at RIR with a best finish being a 12th-place effort in 2007. J.J. finished 18th in the 2014 Spring race for JGL Racing at Richmond.-Integrity Sports Marketing
Apr 22 - 8:33 PM

J.J. Yeley was credited with a 33rd place DNF in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Bristol (VA) Motor Speedway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota 15th on the grid for the Drive To Stop Diabetes 300. He made it to lap 206 of the 300 lap event before exiting the race (Accident). He is currently 16th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings.
Apr 19 - 4:42 PM

JJ Yeley’s blown engine in the Duck Commander 500 was the first DNF (Did Not Finish) for the No. 23 team this season.

Their previous five results on unrestricted speedways ended between 26th and 37th. They also had a 40th in the Daytona 500, but were running at the end of that race. The best way to improve in NASCAR is to complete events.
Apr 15 - 7:51 PM

J.J. Yeley finishes 19th in Friday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota 20th on the grid for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300. He completed 199 laps of the 200 lap race. He is currently 14th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings.
Apr 12 - 9:03 PM

JJ Yeley has finished in the 30s in his last four starts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks driving for BK Racing. The smart money is that he will land in that same range this Sunday at Texas.

Yeley had one top-30 in the No. 83 at Kansas, but that was only a 29th and he was five laps off the pace. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on him, but starting him is not recommended until he climbs higher in the standings on a regular basis.
Apr 10 - 9:30 AM

Since finishing 40th in the Daytona 500, JJ Yeley has shown progressive improvement in the No. 23 BK Racing entry. He has been running at the end of every race and his last four attempts ended in results that were better than his starting position.

Yeley finished in the 30s from Atlanta through Auto Club, but he nearly cracked the top 25 at Martinsville in the STP 500. He finished 26th there, three laps off the pace.
Apr 2 - 11:56 AM

This week JJ Yeley will make his first spring Martinsville attempt since 2013. He finished 27th in that event driving a Tommy Baldwin Racing car.

Yeley has made two fall starts since then, but last year he managed to finish only 39th in the BK Racing No. 83. He should fare better this week, but it is unlikely to be enough to make him a great value in most fantasy games.
Mar 25 - 5:31 PM

J.J. Yeley finishes 22nd in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Auto Club Speedway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota 23rd on the grid for the Drive4Clots.com 300. He completed 149 laps of the 150 lap race. He is currently 14th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings.
