J.J. Yeley will be making his fourth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Iowa Speedway.
Earlier this year, Yeley was knocking on the door to the top-10 before getting caught up in an accident that ended his day and relegated him to a disappointing 34th-place finish. He will be performing "Double Duty" this weekend as he competes in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Pocono Raceway and the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Iowa Speedway. T.J. Bell will practice the No. 28 Toyota on Friday for the two practices at Iowa Speedway while Yeley is in Pocono for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and qualifying.-Integrity Sports Marketing Jul 29 - 2:59 PM

Fantasy owners who are willing to roll the dice might want to check out JJ Yeley for the 5-Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He was able to score a top-five for a lightly-funded team in 2008, finishing third for Hall of Fame Racing.

Yeley qualified only 39th for Sunday’s race, but that could be an additional bonus in games that offer place differential points. Yeley will not challenge for a top-20, but a solid run in the 20s is possible.

Jul 9 - 7:26 PM

JJ Yeley has not finished better than 34th this year on one of the similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks, but he has put in a yeoman-like effort in five attempts. Except for a blown engine early at Texas Motor Speedway, he finished between 34th and 38th in the other four events.

Depending on where he qualifies this Saturday night, he could be a decent value in games that offer place differential points.

Jun 15 - 11:07 PM

JJ Yeley has finished three laps off the pace in his last two starts at Michigan International Speedway and would certainly like to see a little improvement this week. If he can finish within two laps of the winner, he can count that as a minor accomplishment. Those starts came with two different teams last year: Johnathan Cohen in the spring and BK Racing in August.

Given the increased competition, coming within two laps of the leaders would probably still place him in the mid-30s, but it would be a show of improvement.

JJ Yeley will race for his fourth different owner in four Dover International Speedway races when he starts this Sunday’s FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks. His best result in that span was a 34th for Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR).

His 34th in the No. 36 was the fourth consecutive race he made at Dover for TBR, which suggests he benefited from the chemistry the team built. He is in another fulltime ride this week, and should be able to finish in the mid-30s again.
