Last year JJ Yeley was entered in eight races on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks for three different teams. He settled in with BK Racing at the end of the year and scored a best of 29th at Kansas.
In order to become a solid value, Yeley needs some stability with a team and that has been lacking since his departure from Joe Gibbs Racing in 2007. Evaluate him this week, but fantasy owners will probably want to wait until the end of the year before starting him on an unrestricted, intermediate speedway. Feb 25 - 10:29 AM

Sprint Cup regular J.J. Yeley was credited with a 27th place DNF in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota ninth on the grid for the Alert Today Florida 300. He made it to lap 111 of the 120 lap event before exiting the race (multi-car Accident). He starts the season 19th in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings.

After running for four different teams in 2014, JJ Yeley will become a fulltime driver in one of the BK Racing entries. This greater stability in 2015 should make him more fantasy relevant.

Yeley ended the season in the No. 83 and his best finish was a 29th in the Hollywood Casino 400. He also finished 31st at Texas and 30th at Phoenix in the final few races of the season and should continue to produce in that same range in the opening races of 2015. As the season progresses, however, he could record occasional top-25s and that will make him attractive in salary cap games.

After running part-time for BK Racing last year, J.J. Yeley has been named as a full-time driver for the team in the 2015 Sprint Cup season.

A short release from the team did not specify whether Yeley would drive its No. 23 or No. 83 Toyota Camry. The team expects to announce information regarding a second full-time program by early next week. Yeley made nine starts last year for BK Racing. The first of those came in the No. 83 car at Michigan in August when its regular driver, rookie Ryan Truex, suffered a concussion during a practice session. Following a second start at Richmond in the team’s other No. 93 car, Yeley then ran the final seven races of 2014 in the No. 83 after Truex had been released.

JJ Yeley has made four previous attempts at Homestead and has gotten progressively stronger with each. He finished 42nd in 2010, 41st in 2011, 35th in 2012, and 32nd in 2013.

This week he is back behind the wheel of the No. 83 once more and the team has decent equipment. With a little attrition and well-timed cautions, Yeley could finish just inside or outside of 30th.

J.J. Yeley was credited with a 30th place DNF in Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

He started the No. 28 Texas 28 Spirits Stage Dodge 33rd on the grid for the DAV 200 Honoring America's Veterans. He made it to lap 154 of the 206 lap event before exiting the race (Rear Gear). JJ Yeley will make his third start on a similarly-configured, 1.5-mile track for BK Racing this week at Texas. His previous two races with them ended in a 29th at Kansas and a 38th at Charlotte.

The priorities for this team might not match up with fantasy players. They need to figure out where the strengths and weaknesses for the program lie and that might turn the AAA 500 into a test session.

JJ Yeley will make his sixth start of the season for BK Racing and his 15th overall. His best finish with this team was a 29th at Kansas Speedway earlier this month.

With Ryan Truex gone from the No. 83, the team is moving various drivers in and out of the cockpit. The reason for ending their relationship with Yeley was a lack of communication, however, and it seems unlikely that part time drivers are able to develop much more chemistry.

JJ Yeley will make his third attempt in Frank Stoddard’s No. 32 this week. His two previous efforts netted a 33rd at Bristol and 32nd at Atlanta.

In both instances this team was more than a half-dozen laps off the pace at the end of the race and can only be considered as a good value to earn place differential points in games that offer them. Yeley improved over his starting position on both of his Stoddard starts.

JJ Yeley will make his fourth consecutive start this week. He raced in relief of Ryan Truex at Michigan and finished 30th, piloted Frank Stoddard’s No. 32 at Bristol and Atlanta (finishing 33rd and 32nd respectively), and will race a third BK entry this week.

There is no guarantee this team will not start-and-park, but if they go the distance look for a result in that same range.
