Terry Cook is the top rookie qualifier for the May 1st Sprint Cup Heath Calhoun 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Cook’s lap of 124.098 mph in the No. 46 Dodge was 41st fastest, ahead of Kevin Conway (starts 42nd), the only other 2010 ROTY contender qualifying for the race.

Cook, one of the ‘go-or-go-homers’ required to qualify on speed, ran a 44th fastest lap of 186.021 mph in the No. 46 Dodge. This was not good enough to make the 43-car field.

Terry Cook leaves the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series a six-time winner along with the record for the most consecutive series starts (296).

Since Whitney Motorsports is a new team it is not locked into the Daytona 500 starting field based on 2009 NSCS owners points. For Cook to make his first Daytona 500 start he will be required to make the field based either upon his qualifying speed or by racing his way into the field through the Gatorade Duel. NASCAR Truck Series Veteran Driver Terry Cook will be driving in the Sprint Cup Series this season.

Cook will drive the #46 Whitney Motorsports Dodge Charger for Michigan based business man, Dusty Whitney. Whitney, who previously fielded cars in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, decided to advance his ownership status to the elite Sprint Cup Series. Cook, who has competed in the truck series since 1996 and holds the record for the most consecutive starts in the series at 296, is ready to start building a stat sheet in the Sprint Cup Series. Cook will also be vying for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors.

HT Motorsports and driver Terry Cook have parted ways following last week’s race in Ft. Worth Texas.

HT Motorsports Owner Jim Harris on the Driver Change: "We want to thank Terry (Cook) for his hard work and efforts for this HT Motorsports Racing Team this year. We have worked with Terry on and off for a few years in the Camping World Truck Series and see him as a key component in building HT Motorsports to what it is today. He is a huge advocate for the NCWTS series and we wish him the best in his racing career."

Terry Cook is the highest qualifying Rookie of the Year candidate for Saturday’s Nationwide Series O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.

Cook qualified the No. 91 MSRP Motorsports Chevrolet 13th in the lineup. This was ahead of the rest of the 2009 ROTY contenders.

Terry Cook makes the most improvement in the series after the October 24th Camping World Truck Series Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway.

Cook started 14th in the lineup and his 10th place finish was 16 places better than his last NCWTS finish. This earned the No. 25 Harris Trucking Toyota Tundra driver the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Cook is currently 13th in the 2009 CWTS point standings after this event.
