Jani-King will sponsor in the first three events of the NASCAR XFINITY Series season on the No. 55 Toyota Camry beginning next month at Daytona.

Jani-King is the world's largest commercial cleaning franchise with over 9,000 locations. Stephen Leicht will be running the full-season with JP Motorsports. Following the three-race stint, Jani-King will serve as an associate sponsor on the No. 55 entry for the remainder of the 2018 campaign.-JP Motorsports

Stephen Leicht will compete full-time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) for the newly-formed JP Motorsports in the No. 55 Toyota Camry. The team will utilize Toyota Camrys purchased from TriStar Motorsports.

He last competed full-time in 2007 for Robert Yates Racing. During that stint, he earned one victory at Kentucky Speedway, three top-fives, and seven top-10s. Leicht has 16 top-10 finishes total in the NXS. In 2008, Leicht moved to Richard Childress Racing for a part-time schedule. On top of the pit box for Leicht will be Jason Houghtaling. Houghtaling has spent time as a crew chief with BJ McLeod Motorsports, Derrike Cope, MBM Motorsports, Rick Ware Racing, and TriStar Motorsports.-Motorsports Tribune

Stephen Leicht (No. 97 VroomBrands Chevrolet Camaro) will miss the XFINITY Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The team is not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NXS race. Based on NASCAR’s time trial knockout procedure, upon completion of the first round of qualifying, the 40 eligible cars for starting positions one to 40 is determined. The car was listed as 41st on the chart.

Former Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year, Stephen Leicht, will drive the No. 77 Obaika Racing Vroom Brands Chevrolet.

Leicht last competed in all three series of NASCAR in 2012, ultimately winning the title of Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year. Leicht says "To say I am excited about my opportunity to race with Obaika Racing is an understatement to say the least. I cannot wait to get to Daytona to kick the season off at the first race. With all the experience I have had in the past, I believe I will be able to contribute a lot to this team and am looking forward to doing just that. I am very optimistic about our chances." Obaika Racing is the first African owned professional stock car racing team. The No. 33 Chevrolet driver started 42nd and finished 34th. He was named the "Rookie of the Race". Leicht, who made 14 of the 33 races so far this season, is 41st in the 2012 point standings.
