Jason Leffler will finish out the season behind the wheel of the No. 27 Hillman Racing entry with this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Leffler will make his 10th truck series start of the season on Friday, and in his previous nine starts, Leffler has recorded six top-10 finishes, including a season's-best fourth-place finish at Charlotte.

Based on Leffler's stats at the 7/8-mile track, it makes perfect sense that Turner Motorsports would tap him to pilot their No. 30 entry this weekend. Jason Leffler finished third in the inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series race in 2009 and followed it up with another third-place finish in the 2010 NNS event.

He qualified in the top 10 for each of his last three NNS starts. The last time that the No. 18 Tundra was in action, Jason Leffler posted an eighth-place finish at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta (6/28/12). After three straight top-10 finishes with Jason Leffler behind the wheel, the team seeks continued growth with its veteran driver in Saturday’s American Ethanol 200, as they aim to harvest their first win in the Hawkeye State and first Truck Series victory of 2012.

This weekend at Martinsville, Jason Leffler will climb aboard "007," one of the most successful Tundras in KBM's stable, at a track where the No. 18 team's worst result in four starts is a third-place finish.

"007" is the same Tundra that Denny Hamlin drove to victory at Martinsville last October. In five starts last season, the truck collected three wins, a 2nd and was at the front of the field for 404 of the 975 laps it completed. This weekend will be Leffler's first trip to "The Paperclip" since finishing eighth when the NASCAR Nationwide Series made a cameo appearance in 2006. He has three previous Truck Series starts at Martinsville (best finish of 6th) and three Sprint Cup Series starts, including a 12th-place finish in the April 2005 race.

Jason Leffler makes his debut behind the wheel of the No. 18 Dollar General Tundra in Friday’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona.

The veteran driver came home second in last July’s Nationwide Series race at the 2.5-mile tri-oval, crossing the stripe .04 seconds behind race winner Joey Logano. While he’s yet to win on the high banks of Daytona, Leffler has shown a knack for being around at the finish of the race. In 22 career Daytona starts across NASCAR’s top three series, the California native has been running at the finish 18 times. Leffler has started first and he’s usually around for the finish. He’s hoping Friday will be his night to finish first.

Kyle Busch Motorsports announced that Jason Leffler will be the primary driver of the team's No. 18 Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the 2012 season.

The veteran driver will be behind the wheel for at least 14 races this season, beginning with the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway. Dollar General, the nation's largest small-box retailer, will serve as the primary sponsor for Leffler's 14-race schedule.
