Canadian NASCAR Pinty's Series driver, D.J. Kennington, is back in the Premium Motorsports #15 charter car for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series ‘Can-Am 500’ at Phoenix International Raceway.
"I have a lot of starts at Phoenix, I think this will be my 15th or 16th time racing there, whether it was K&N, Trucks, XFINITY or Cup, I’m really looking forward to being back there again. Canada native D.J. Kennington will travel way down south to Talladega, Alabama where he will pull double duty this weekend with Premium Motorsports.

Kennington will pilot the No. 55 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series 'Alabama 500' with primary sponsor 'Dirt and Rock' and he will pilot the No. 15 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, 'Fred's Pharmacy 250' with primary sponsor, 'Losers Bar & Grill' at Talladega Superspeedway. Kennington on Talladega: "I'm excited to pull a double duty weekend so I can get more practice on the Superspeedways. I'm looking forward to a good run in both the truck and the cup car and my sponsors are equally as excited. I'm hoping to stay out of trouble, avoid the big one, gain some experience and bring home a good finish in both races.

D.J. Kennington (No. 17 Castrol Edge/CIM Metals Dodge) finished 17th in Saturday night's NASCAR Pinty's Series season-ending Pinty's Fall Brawl 200 at Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagersville, Ontario.

He started on the pole, led 35 laps and completed 182 laps of the 200-lap race before dropping out due a steering problem. Kennington closed out the season fifth in the 2017 Pinty's Series driver championship standings.

D.J Kennington won the E3 Spark Plug Pole Award for the Pinty's Fall Brawl at Jukasa Motor Speedway.

The St.Thomas, Ontario, driver set a lap time of 18.578 seconds (121.111mph) to take his second pole of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty's Series season. Kennington's time was fast enough to set the inaugural track record at the newly reconfigured .625 mile Jukasa Motor Speedway. Series points leader Alex Labbe set the second quickest time with a 18.642 (120.695), while Donald Theetge will start third (18.675/120.482). Defending series champion Cayden Lapcevich and Alex Tagliani round out the top five.

D.J Kennington (No. 17 Castrol Edge Dodge) set the quickest lap in NASCAR Pinty's Series practice for the Pinty's Fall Brawl at Jukasa Motor Speedway.

He set a blistering lap time of 18.720 seconds (120.192 mph) around the .625 mile speedway to top the charts. Kennington's No. 17 has been consistent on the oval tracks this season, and it looks like he has brought the same fast pace to Jukasa. Series points leader Alex Labbe finished the hour long session in the second position with a time of 18.791 (119.738), just missing the top spot by 0.071 seconds. Donald Chisholm, who made the trek all the way from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, came home third (18.831/119.484). Andrew Ranger and Donald Theetge rounded out the top five.

D.J. Kennington, who started from the pole position in the inaugural Pinty’s Series race at Jukasa Motor Speedway in 2007, will return to Jukasa to make his 134 start in Saturday night's Pinty's Fall Brawl 200.

Two-time NASCAR Pinty's Series (NPS) champion D.J. Kennington, who piloted Gaunt Brothers Racing's Daytona 500 entry earlier this season, will drive the No. 96 Tundra on the 2.459-mile Canadian Tire Motorsports Park road course.

Joining Gaunt and Kennington, both natives of Ontario, are Kennington's longtime partner Castrol Canada and Spectra Premium, both of which will adorn the Toyota Tundra for the series' lone Canadian event in 2017. Kennington enters the lone Truck Series road course race of the season as one of the event's most established road racers. He started 1st in the lineup (not a pole, lineup set by practice speed..weather), led 36 laps and completed all laps of the 300-lap race. Kennington is currently fourth in the 2017 championship standings after this event.

D.J. Kennington's fast time in practice will mean he'll start on the pole for Saturday night's Bumper to Bumper 300 at Riverside International Speedway after weather washed out qualifying.

Because the series got in a practice session, the rule book dictates the starting lineup is set by practice speeds. That means Kennington, who has two previous wins at Riverside in 2010 and 2012, will lead the field to green. Kevin Lacroix will lineup second. Championship points leader Alex Labbe and local favorite Donald Chisholm will make up the second row.

D.J Kennington was quickest during Saturday's NASCAR Pinty's Series practice session for the Bumper to Bumper 300 at Riverside International Speedway.

The 40-year-old driver from St. Thomas, Ontario set a blistering lap time of 14.385 seconds (83.337 mph) around the .333 mile oval to top the speed charts. Kennington's No. 17 Castrol Edge Dodge has visited Victory Lane twice on the high banks at Riverside, it was very clear that he brought the same fast pace with him this weekend. Kevin Lacroix finished the 70 minute session in second with a 14.450 (82.962), while series points leader Alex Labbe was third.
