Turn One Racing announced J.R. Fitzpatrick may not return to the seat of the No. 60 Chevrolet after efforts to find a full-season sponsor have been slow to materialize.
Instead, Fitzpatrick will focus on another championship run in the Canadian Tire Series, and may return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in a limited number of events later this year. Stacy Compton’s team was one of the top contenders in 2011. Rookie Cole Whitt sat on the pole at Darlington, led six events, ran door-to-door with Kyle Busch before falling to second at Dover, and claimed 11 top-10 finishes in 25 starts. The team went on to finish ninth in the series standings. Sun, May 13, 2012 09:43:00 PM
