Quebec native and former Formula One and Indianapolis 500 champion Jacques Villeneuve (No. 24 Dodge Dealers of Quebec Dodge) is entered in the Canadian Tire Series JuliaWine.com 100.

Jacques Villeneuve takes over the #51 TAG Heuer Eyewear Chevy for Phoenix Racing at Sonoma Raceway.

The 42-year-old native of Montreal, Quebec, CAN isn't a stranger to NASCAR competition making three previous Sprint Cup Series, nine Nationwide and seven Camping World Truck Series starts. His best results were in the Nationwide Series where he earned four top-fives and six top-10 finishes; all on road courses. Villeneuve has also competed in F1, CART, and USAC races. He was most successful in F1 winning 11 times and CART where he won five times and was the series champion in 1995.-jayski.com

Penske Engines, supplier of the engine in the No. 22 Dodge driven by Jacques Villeneuve to a third place finish in the Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve wins the Mahle Clevite Engine Builder of the Race award.

The $2,100 cash award is determined by qualifying and finishing position of the car. Villeneuve started the race in third place and led 43 laps of the 81 lap event.

Jacques Villeneuve tops the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice session for the Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

He ran a fast lap of 96.891 mph in the No. 22 Dodge. No. 30 Alex Tagliani, No. 60 Billy Johnson, No. 7 Danica Patrick and No. 18 Michael McDowell rounded out the top five of the 38 cars out on the track. The No. 52, driven by Ryan Ellis, was the slowest in the final practice session.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is named after Jacques Villeneuve's father, Gilles Villeneuve, who died tragically during a qualifying session for the 1982 Formula One Series Belgian Grand Prix.

Jacques has recorded six top-15 and three top-10 finishes in the Formula One Series at Montreal, in addition to his two top-five NASCAR results at the venue. He will make his fourth career start with Penske Racing this weekend – all on road courses. He finished sixth at Road America on June 23. In last year’s race at Montreal, he captured the pole and teammate Alex Tagliani qualified second to mark the last front row qualifying sweep in the Nationwide Series for Penske Racing.-Penske Racing

Jacques Villeneuve leads the first practice session for the Nationwide Series Sargento 200 at Road America.

His lap of 133.564 mph in the No. 22 Dodge was quickest of the 38 cars out on the track for this session. No. 30 Nelson Piquet Jr., No. 33 Max Papis, No. 18 Michael McDowell and No. 5 Ron Fellows were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. Chase Miller in the No. 46 was the slowest.

Jacques Villeneuve will make his first start of the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season Saturday afternoon in the Sargento 200 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI.

This will mark Villeneuve's third NNS start at Road America. He raced for Penske Racing at the course last season and earned a third-place finish. He also competed in two CART Series open-wheel races in Elkhart Lake in 1994 and 1995 as he won both events and captured the pole in 1994.

Former world champion driver Jacques Villeneuve will compete behind the wheel of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NNS races at Road America (June 23) and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (August 18).

He will return to the Dodge at these venues for the second-consecutive season. Villeneuve will round out a talent-rich lineup for the No. 22 Dodge that will also include 2010 NNS champion Brad Keselowski and Parker Kligerman throughout the 2012 season. Villeneuve is one of only three drivers to win the Indianapolis 500, the Indy Car championship and the Formula One Series world title, joining former Penske Racing drivers Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi in the rare racing triple crown. Villenueve won the Indy 500 and the CART Series Indy Car crown in 1995 before moving to Formula One where he captured the driver’s title in 1997.

Jacques Villeneuve tops the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice session for the Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

He ran a fast lap of 102.222 in the No. 22 car. No. 77 Robby Gordon, 9-Owen Kelly (practicing for Marcos Ambrose who is in Michigan), 38-Jason Leffler and 33-Scott Speed rounded out the top five of the 43 cars out on the track. The No. 28, driven by Derrike Cope, was the slowest in the final practice session.

Jacques Villeneuve, driver of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger, will make his first start of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season Saturday evening in the Bucyrus 200 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.

He is scheduled to drive the No. 22 later this season at Montreal as well. This will be his 2nd Nationwide Series race at Road America. He last competed here in June of 2010 (qualified 2nd and finished 25th). He has experienced success at Road America in the past. He won the CART Series Indy car races there in both 1994 and 1995.-Penske Racing

Former world champion driver Jacques Villeneuve will compete behind the wheel of the No. 22 Discount Tire/Ruby Tuesday Dodge Challenger in the Nationwide Series races at Road America (June 25) and Montreal (August 20).

He has already been to Victory Lane at Road America as he won the CART Series races there in both 1994 and 1995. He will then race in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the circuit named after his famous father, former Formula One driver Gilles Villeneuve.-Penske Racing

Jacques Villeneuve leads the first practice session for the Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

His lap of 96.455 mph in the No. 32 was quickest of the 44 cars out on the track for this session. 60-Carl Edwards, 09-Boris Said, 47-Marcos Ambrose and 22-Brad Keselowski were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. Morgan Shepherd in the No. 21 was the slowest.

Jacques Villeneuve returns to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (track bears his father's name) with Braun Racing for the third consecutive year.

In 2008, he started the No. 32 Toyota from the fifth position at the 2.71-mile (4.361 km) road course. After leading the race and while running fourth, he was collected in a crash on the final lap of the rain-shortened event. He was credited with a 16th-place finish. He returned last year with the No. 32 team, starting from the sixth position and logging his NASCAR career-best finish of fourth.
